God, this sounds worse than the one in Napoleon. I wonder what the issue is with it. Judging from the wind-up, it sounds like it may be bad bearings, although it's hard to tell for sure since the blower cuts off quick on the wind-down. It seems like Lansing's system is a mess, as this one is horribly sick and there are a few others with blower problems.
This siren has been sick for at least 10 years, luckily most of the other sirens outside of the 2 with blower issues work very well and might be up for years to come, there is one other thunderbolt that doesn't have a working rotator though.
It probably isn't the bearings if it's been sick for 10 years, because they probably would have completely seized up by now. Do you know what chopper level this is supposed to be on?
This siren is actually still standing but disconnected along with the other bolts. Only some thunderbolts were replaced with equinoxes. This one didn’t. (I had originally thought all of the thunderbolts were replaced.)
That yellow traffic light next to the siren looks like a Sentry 40V2T. And it might have inspired the siren's design.
It sounds REALLY underpowered.
The siren intusiast in the class:oh the Thunderbolt doesn't hear good
LOL
Owe... so sad. These Thunderbolt's are National Treasures.
Sadly the wires were cut last year, but I hope to acquire one in the coming years!
this thing has gotten worse over the past year, its sad to see how bad its gotten.
In 2016 it was a lot better but it was still bad sounding
Oh and happy 4th
Time for a System wide Upgrade to either 2001-130s or 508-128s these won't last another 10 years the way these sound
Unless they're restored,
That yellow traffic light is look like a sentry 40v2T next to ten siren
Where is this thing?

@@sirensofmichigan6092 the one with the broken Rotator is pretty close to where I live
@@Thunderbolt1000Tfan it is supposed to be on chopper level 4
Thunderbolt1000Tfan maybe the bearings went out recently, in addition to bad brushes
The school you are referring as is actually Otto Middle School, it’s not a high school or spelled “Auto.” Also a FS Equinox has replaced this siren.
Yeah i was a kiddie lol. Thanks for the information
