These look far more versatile than the Cos-Tools cutters. Not only do these appear to have the ability to cut thicker foam, the use of standard rather than proprietary blades means they will never be obsolete.

YES! That was one of the selling points form me on his bevel cutters. Stander blades you can get anywhere.

Exactly, I used Cos-Tools bevel cutter and am not a fan due to the weird blades and it can't cut thicker foam.

To be fair though, the CosTools giant circle cutter is damn awesome! Yes the blades are very nonstandard, but perfect 10mm circles in 2 seconds are always awesome. Now if only there was a beveled circle cutter, preferably adjustable angle like the Bev-All. 2mm is the only thickness it doesn't do so well. I never tried their hole punches but those also looked decent. I sharpen brass pipes and stick them in my drill chuck, but it's pretty limited what size it can take.

This makes me so unbelievably happy! Watching the man that got me into cosplay when I was very young, reviewing a tool that can better my craft? There is no better thing to watch on a warm day. THANK YOU EVIL TED!!! Much love from Canada!

I got one of the first Hobby style and really liked it. The quality is fantastic. The new snap blade version looks really cool, too.

Definitely one of my favorite tools! I have the hobby Bev-All. Snap off blade version looks new to me, but I use a pretty nonstandard snap-off blade so it probably wouldn't be a good fit (badum tissss!) I use extra thick Olfa. Love that these are all ambidextrous though!

I have one. Great purchase. It's a simple tool that does exactly what you need it to do. The secret to foam is definitely clean cuts and this provides.

i do not recommend holding these things like a pencil. it will hurt the skin between your index finger. loop your index finger around the metal part.
