I actually am one of those people who likes getting the toys of the d list characters in the neca toon line because when I was a kid I always wanted some of them like Bugman, and the members of Bebop and Rocksteady’s gang. I agree with you about the crossovers though. I didn’t like the stranger things crossover and I thought all of the power ranger crossovers were boring. The best was the Usagi Yojimbo crossover probably because Stan Sakai has already had experience writing the turtles. Idw can be ok when they introduce old characters but they also try to cram in way too many memberberry characters. Pretty much everything since 100 has been lane except for the Dr Barlow stuff. Tokka and Rahzar was anticlimactic and boring. In Armageddon game they tried to cram in as many references and oddball characters as they could and I thought the whole thing felt overstuffed convoluted. Nothing happened for like 5 issues of the main series except introducing random characters from other comics. The alliance books were nothing but filler. I thought the sequel to last ronin was decent because of the art, but I hate the new 4 turtles names. They’re not memorable to me at all. Hopefully the new volume with Jason Aaron will take things back to basics. I also hate that they draw the turtles in clothes in the idw series. It’s like a weird implication that something use to be wrong in the comic before they wore clothes.
Mutant Mayhem was a horribly executed first movie in story. The turtles IN THE FIRST MOVIE had become well known crime fighting heroes which goes strictly against the whole ninja stealth thing that most of TMNT media has established. The whole problem about not being in the public eye and staying low really was a cool theme for the show and throwing it away for the sake of "the turtles want to be popular" make them feel like unmature 8 year olds than teenagers who mastered ninjitsu. Also, I feel like turning Bebop and Rocksteady into heroes with the turtles is a little much. They were both two cool goofy villains that were pretty entertaining but they've been reduced to what seems to be helpers for the TMNT now. I have a lot of other points here but I'm too lazy to keep writing. Basically, too much unnecessary change that f*ed up the already established parts of the TMNT and not much can be built on this new foundation due to this.
Tbh, am only interested what tales of the tmnt and the mutant mayhem sequel has to offer this year, that's it and that's all. But as long TMNT is alive, am good 👍 Edit: nevermind about Mutant Mayhem 2, I found out it'd coming out 2026, so I don't care about it no more.

I’m a sucker for crossovers so you’re asking the wrong person on that one. I don’t mind them using older characters as long as they have something in mind to do with them and I also kinda like the idea of them introducing some other characters into the turtle family, Jenny, Venus, slash, metalhead, they can build up story arcs of them being villains or side characters that grow closer and closer to the boys until they’re practically family. but I’m not too crazy about the new cartoon coming out. I don’t know maybe it’ll be good? I said the same thing about rise and now it’s my favorite interpretation of them so I’ll give it a shot.

Battle toads don't have a comic and since when were they associated with one another besides a marketing insult jab at the tmnt and a tmnt crossover with spiderman makes no sense the only logical crossover would be them meeting daredevil but Disney's not gonna let that happen

I don't like both the 2012 series and 2018 series; I hate the Michael Bay movies; and I still have yet to watch the newest movie because, frankly, seeing the Turtles with smartphones is cringe as fuck. The TMNT belong in the '80s; that's their era. Seeing the TMNT in the new millennium is like seeing Sherlock Holmes in the '70s; it ain't right. I wish Nickelodeon would look at X-men '97 and give that same treatment to TMNT.
