- See Class 47, 47712 Lady Diana Spencer in action with DBSO coach 9707 on ScotRail push pull mainline test runs ready for Locomotive Services Limited charter in a few weeks seeing the return of push pull services which used to run in Scotland between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh Waverley also to Inverness and Aberdeen.
This was meant to do Crewe to Coton Hill via Chester and Coton Hill back to Crewe via Stafford but due to a Class 175 catching fire between Wrexham and Chester, the test run paths was quickly change to work between Crewe and Preston.

It's just purely amazing to see an Iconic livery back in play! Look forward to seeing these in Service!
For me being from Scotland. It's just so vastation to see one of Scotrail's old trains coming back on the mainline after a few years Even I never grew up seeing them in service.
There a chance to see this in Scotland as there a 3 day charter from the 24th to 26th February and running on routes it used to run on
@@Sim0nTrains That'll be interesting, definably will see that.
Awesomely caught Simon
Brings back a lot of memories! Although, I don’t remember the sets beings as clean back in the day!
awesomw catch
If 175008 hadn't caught fire today I would have seen this at Telford. But no things changed today unfortunately. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 for tomorrow instead.
The train looks lovely. Good video Simon.
Cool shots Simon

Superb capture. Nicely done. Looks very smart. 😀
Hi Simon Well done good video, lovely to see this working, just as they were back in the day on Glas-Edin. Thanks
Great catch Simon something you don't normally see at Crewe atb Andy
How about that then Simon the scotrail 47 and it’s train complete with the DBSO coach at the back for the first time since the 80s with loco hauled passenger train with a DBSO coach to complete for a trip around Scotland
These coaches look beautiful nice shots Simon mate aren't these on the Chester tests until Friday? That DBSO horn is LOUD! I wonder what it's from?
Not really a fan of Push-Pull trains apparence this formations resemble a multiple unit when on push running rather than the classic train we all know loco first, so i believe LSL likewise on Intercity formations might strugle to attract enthusiasts when and if put this Scotrail formation on tours as it happened with intercity formation. Working Extras services purposes like for Avanti West Coast throughout Her Majesty's funeral week last year for instance, would be very useful, specially on non-electrified lines as a class 47 matching its livery would be permanently allocated to provide traction i guess.Thank you for sharing the video.
The greatest monarch Britain never had . Slaughtered by the powers that be all because she was seeing someone from a different religion. ( nice 47 btw & Mk 3 coaching stock )
But would have survived if she’d been wearing seatbelt. Take your tinfoil hat off.
@@MontytheHorse How would she have survived Einstein? , going at that speed if i was you I’d take ya blinkers ofv
