    Nice video thanks for sharing. There was a class 90 departing light engine under its own power that was shown as going to Chaddesden Sidings yet that's at Derby and not electrified so was the caption wrong?

      i’ll be honest, i wasn’t sure with that one. i couldn’t find the working for the life of me on RTT so i assumed it must have been a prior cancelled working that has been re-pathed.. but i was wrong haha, thanks for letting me know anyway, glad you liked it :)

    • @CalderTrains
      @CalderTrains 2 года назад +2

      It was probably one of the trains that are not on RTT, there's a few at Crewe where trains are just moving yard.

      @@CalderTrains yes I've noticed that before. My daughter was at Weston super Mare station on Sunday last and saw a pair of 37s in between two snowploughs. On my TRAKSY app it showed up as 7Z21 and departed towards Taunton but there was no schedule information and when I checked RTT the moved wasn't shown.

    Strange that as with the modern emergency alarms, the driver can override the application of the emergency brake application. Wonder if it was actually an emergency door release handle that got pulled

    • @NorthWestRailways
      @NorthWestRailways  Год назад

      yeah that’s what i had thought, but my main thinking was that staff needed time to inspect the train to make sure it wasn’t a real emergency before the driver was given the all clear to set off again.. however i saw some people on the platform taking a photo of a particular part of the train so maybe it was because a door had opened 🤔

    In terms of the odd sounds. I think the fast Hi-Low sound was Emergency Door Release / Passenger Alarm. And the slow 3-tone alarm tends to be Guard - Driver or Driver - Guard requesting communication. I have heard a fast 2 tone alarm a lot, tends to mean a call to the catering crew. You can see an example of the driver - guard request here: ruclips.net/video/24uaIwr3kdk/видео.html

    Wow! The on-board footage of the train you're on was absolutely superb looking! Oh how trains have sunk to such a miserable degree of 'comfort' in The Netherlands compared to the British... Horrible seats, hardly any space for your legs (considering we are the tallest people on the planet, that's ridiculous), no compartments whatsoever anymore on almost any train we have so any screaming child or whatever nuisance is heard throughout the whole unit, tables that can't be called a table anymore as they are just unusably small...
    I do know traintickets are a 'thing' to grasp in the UK and (from what I hear) usually are very expensive, but darn, if that is the train you get...

    • @NorthWestRailways
      @NorthWestRailways  2 года назад +1

      I’ll be honest, what you’re seeing there is Avanti West Coast’s First Class section, which is pretty nice. But truth be told most, if not all modern British trains are hideously uncomfortable in standard class, with seats that can easily be compared with ironing boards 😂 It seems railways all across Europe are being ruined by safety regulations and greedy rich people 😔🤦‍♂️
