The Boogie Board notebook "connects to the smartphone app" in that you can use your phone to take a picture of your boogie board. It's the same technology that allows me to take a picture of my kids artwork on the refrigerator and look at it on my phone.
@@Tea12456yeah the only use it has is taking quick notes or keep track of daily tasks, stuff like that, that is nice to have something in hand without the hasle of wasting paper, pen runing ou of ink and such, its basically a more convenient and hasle free quick note taking device. For the price, if it fits your use case its fking amazing for the simple fact it has absolutely ZERO input delay, because it isnt digital, the only "digital" thing on that is the erase button 😅. Out of all those devices the only usefull ones are boogie and kindle... Remarkable has INSANE input delay, you can see it om any video you watch, and also writing is a lil off it seems, not 100% accurate. While kindle is simillar and also has delay, it at least has much less delay, better precision, and you can read books with it.
I strongly dislike the side border of the kindle being uneven, love the thin bezel of the remarkable. In the kindle section it looked like in parts you had one that had an even border, was that a different model?
How extensive is the material digitized with the Rocketbook? What applications can it be opened with? Is it just an image or a .pdf? Or can it be converted to editable file like word, excel, etc.? Forgive my beginner English.
@@TB7-X Rocketbook ain't a bad idea for college students except if you're used to taking lots and lots of notes. The downsides are that you actually have to spend quite some time scanning+erasing the pages, plus the pages have some kind of "texture" that is easy to stain and its even easier to wear out after even the slightest rub with the towel. Also, the towel will get a weird smell if you don't wash it regularly. Still, I use it daily for note taking and studying and it has served its purpose, but you really have to consider it's not going to be a perfect notebook and you need to spend some time to erase all the pages once you fill them up.
I am thinking about switching but like the price point of Kindle versus remarkable. I see alot of people mention the rocket notebook in the comments. Suggestions from real life note takers?

I believe they are specifically referring to the pen for ReMarkable & Kindle Scribe which doesn't have any battery components so they don't need to charge.
I’m a student and I am thinking about buying a remarkable 2( I work part time btw) But I really don’t want to buy the subscribtion to it . I’m completely fine with not being able to turn my handwriting into not handwriting but I’m not sure if I can still import/export the things I write onto my laptop without the subscription also I don’t know how much storage I would have without it. I write a lot and I hate using a lot of paper since I’m unorganized with it.I’m from Germany
Tbh.. it sucks. you can't even export or import seamlessly without buying a subscription.. better go for a Huawei matepad paper or stick to your old school Ipad.
its just nonsense if these devices are for student shouldn't they be more affordable 😕...how may I suppose to buy it.... is there any device just like remarkable in which I can see PDF files and notes taking but cheaper 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
5:50 "Imperceptable 21ms input lag" ... "bar none." Imperceptable? I can see the lag from here. 21ms is about on par with the Picasso tablet, which is 'fine,' but it aint great, and to call it imperceptable is a lie, esp to any artists, who are absolutely going to notice every millsecond. Bamboo plug-in tablets have 5ms lag, and even that is not a seamless 1-to-1.

Which is why it's inefficient however a nice tablet for brain storming and not using too much paper I guess? But any tablet can do that

It’s not ThAt smart then
Thank you for this @TimCortesi

They need to come out with the Remarkable 3! It's been years.. It's time for a upgrade
Like 14 years?
Honestly they just need to make it cheaper.
It's already out
Is moleskine notebook eraseable?
No. For the Smart notebook, you must use only the dedicated pen, which is a little awkward. It’s best for short notes, not long prose.

Stay away from Rocketbook. I tried it and it’s a shabby product.
@@TB7-X Important safety tip. 👍

Many incorrect details. Misleading reviews.
Good eye.
For Rocketbook, can you scan these to a PDF and use Adobe to change the handwriting to text?
The Rocketbook app can handwriting-to-text when you scan them. They,re then stored on your phone, and can transfer text into any format. It’s great
Can u suggest a gadget like boogie board which is completely offline with built in storage and a pattern or pincode lock.

Is the rocketbook still clean after being put in the freezer? The ink from Pilot's pen comes and goes with heating and cooling.

I was wondering the same thing about putting an iphone in the microwave. Apparently it was a major issue for a while.
You need not to shout
Sounds like text to speech tbh
I love my rocket book notebook and note pad but prefer real paper. I have the print outs thay i incert into a diskbound notebook. Works great
you forgot the HUION note
Of course, that!
Thanks!
Remarkable 2 never needs charging? Surely not... hmmmm
64GB storage for note taking... overkill ! About 64,000 eBooks
I think he meant the pen.
Work on your listening skills. He was talking about the pen
@@goofy_xf6223You could have omitted that angry first part. Makes you sound like a jerk.
Stay away from rocketbook. Terrible product.
how so?
How can they possibly not need charging??
It’s not true that it never needs charging, for the remarkable.
But it does last a really long time.
I believe they are specifically referring to the pen for ReMarkable & Kindle Scribe which doesn't have any battery components so they don't need to charge.
The devices need charging. When the video says "it doesn't need charging" it's talking about the pens.
If I had 50 likes to give this video, I most certainly would, but I only have one, but it COUNTS. lmfao
Ratta Supernote all the way!

The Rocketbook is pretty affordable. The mini is probably too small to be practical for schoolwork, but they make larger sizes.
good video
WHY DOES THIS GUY SHOUT THE WHOLE WAY THROUGH THIS VIDEO? I had to turn my pc volume right down to 5%!
I mean pc volume is always loud I always have videos on 40%
And my games are on like 10 - 40
When you loose that pen yellow mad

I agree. I had the rocketbook and i found the product to be shabby and not worth it.
You gave the top spot to an ad ridden wannabe piece of paper. Hilarious. Dislike.
