Great show Saffy you are sooooo funny love it you are so up front love ur smile thanks for sharing all this beauty in your country side beautiful in that part of the world !! ❤
New subscriber. 3 videos in and I'm already impressed by Saffys lateness! 4 hours to get to Whitby no packing done "Better get a wiggle on..."
Ahahaha darling, I'm just being fashionable
Its great to see you being such a positive ball of energy! Rest well and Im looking forward to seing more of your travels!
Thank you so much!
You’re so infectious please don’t stop being you. Carry on making us smile Following your adventures.
*Thank you so much :)*
The "avoid motorways" option is an absolute mantra for me. Mostly becuase i'm still riding on my CBT... but once my DAS is done, i'll still be avoiding all motorways,
Honestly, when you do your DAS you won't. I use to think the same way but then I realised I'd spend more time sat at traffic lights trying to get to the adventurous stuff that I want to do than I would actually doing it. You eventually get to a point where you're like, I wanna hit up a certain countryside road and it's 8 hours in town traffic or 3 on the motorway and you just end up jumping on the motorway
@@SaffySprocket Very valuable insight, thank you! I just hate the monotony of most A roads i've ridden and get all of my enjoyment out of B roads - though I am lucky in that I have the peak district on my doorstep so distance isn't so much of an issue, and furthest i've ridden away from home so far is ~100 miles
Super Cool again! Thank you !
Nothing quite like the feeling of packing up for a road trip out for a few days, living that country life and riding with the sun glaring down on sweeping Country roads - love that country life & that rider life.
Honestly - sometimes the thing we need is just absolutely nothing
You're such a joy to watch, thank you for sharing such positivism!! 👍👍
Thank you so much ☺️☺️☺️☺️
Adventure is where the soul thrives, keep it up 👍
Thank you so much :)
Great trip, I fancy Yorkshire, Northumberland up to the Scottish borders, drove from Sheffield to Stirling once in a mini remember some wonderful twisty roads and scenery
I'm chuckling the whole way through your videos...
A breath of fresh air,, well done keep them up.....
I just subscribed....
Thank you so much :D so glad you enjoyed the video 📹 😊
Love the way your enthusiasm overflows during the videos, and your knackkof 'being lost' but I'll find my way reminds me of myself. New to your videos, but enjoying them. Keep goimg young lady
Thank you :)
It's never boring watching you ,awesome I call it .
Thank you so much 💓
Just love your stuff Saffy 😊
brilliant video as always
Your enthusiasm is infectious! Love Whitby (Whitney?🤔😂) Hope you got to see the Abbey!
Not yet!
Love the content! Don't ever stop! 👍🏼
Thank you so much 💓
You look like you had some good old fun out there on the roads which is what its all about - enjoying the ride and you found some great little back roads to break up th monotony of the motorway. I do like Whitby and Scarborough, Some truly great roads around there, well done great adventure and well Narrated :)
Oooh, loved this video! I've been watching yours & itchy boots' vids in preparation for picking up my very first bike, which I got from close to Durham and rode it back to Scarborough via the A171... such a stunning road! Thought i'd be more nervous but i really enjoyed it! Can't wait to strap everything on and go for a proper adventure!!
Good luck!! Check out Andy straps by the way, mine have been going strong for 2 years now
@@SaffySprocket Thank you :-) I'll check them out, although I have some ROK straps just arrived.. hopefully they'll be right, my tent is a wee bit on the larger side too!
Nice to see a woman with the spirit of adventure and enjoying nature obviously this is gonna take you across the channel of wich I’ll be there to see your progress from your videos🤘❕🇬🇧
Awesome... you finally reached God's country 🙏 Yorkshire has so much to see and do
It was rammmmmed with tourists ☠️
Always is, worse when it's nice weather
Absolutely brilliant
As a scarbados local ,sm excellent twisty roads on the way either Whitby or scarborough .. bikers fav
Hi Saffy, Brian here, this is my stomping ground, I live in the area you visited, some of the nicest scenery in the UK, there was so much you never saw, you really need to come visit again and if you let me i'll be your guide and show you the hidden treasures that we keep quiet about.
Yeah I love your enthusiasm ! Keep doing it while you can.
I'm sure others will have commented on this, the only problem with your vids is the camera angle. The quality is great as is the audio. Sorting the camera would be the finishing touch.
I can't really be too critical because you're actually doing it which is more than I have ever have.
I'll keep watching regardless🙂
Thank you so much :) I saw your comment before I left on my trip this Friday and took your advice on board! Hopefully the footage is a bit better for my video next week!
Nice video! It's great to see a young female doing this, and with your level of enthusiasm too. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much!
@@SaffySprocket you're welcome. Keep doing it your way. Make videos you would want to watch. And keep on enjoying it.
Really loving these videos atm, reminds me of the sense of adventure and fun from when I started touring. Especially last episode because I started in around 2013 when satnavs were still expensive and rubbish, so I used maps. Totally different experience!
Btw, I nearly always go mid-week now. The traffic everywhere these days is just too bad at weekends.
Also if you have a tank bag it's worth getting a battery bank thing to run your phone off all day. 👍
I have a built in USB port on my motorbike, the issue is my s20 is being repaired and I'm using a very very very very cheap mobile phone until it gets returned. The thing is utterly useless and doesn't hold charge well - even with my usb charger plugged in full time - google maps drains the battery faster than it charges - hopefully I wont have this issue when my phone comes back
@@SaffySprocket I had the same issue years ago, it was because the USB port on my bike only provide 1.0A of current, so it only slowed the battery discharging, wasn't enough to run the phone and charge it at the same time. That's one of the reasons I bought a battery bank, as it will charge at 2.4A. The other reason was that it's easier to take my phone and tank bag of the bike together when I stop now, I don't have to remove the phone from the case to disconnect the cable.
Aw yay, great video 😁 see you again soon!
Yay! Thank you!
What a fun little adventure! You are 😁 funny, sat/nav lol
😂 glad you enjoyed it
Some brilliant roads up that way, hope you enjoyed it.
I did thank you ! Ride safe!
Both whitby and Scarborough are my go to places on the bike. Only around a 90 mile ride away for me so great rides out on sunny days.
It's such a beautiful area but my god, in the sun, doesn't it get insanely busy
Ow yes it gets super busy when the weathers nice. If you go to Scarborough again ride along the sea front until you pass the amusement park there are loads Motorcycle only parking bays.
Keep up the positivity it's infectious ride safe
Thank you, I will
Hi Saffy, just to say the ride north up the coast from whitby is awesome Ravenscar and Staithes are beautiful secluded bays well worth a visit.
Ah yes! Every time I make a trip, I get a longer trip for reccomendations ahahha
Fantastic video! keep riding and keep safe.
Thanks, you too!
Wow, we must’ve crossed paths at some point, literally got back this afternoon! We rode up from the south east and did north York moors, Whitby, scarbados etc... we had a good few days. I love those lanes like the one you filmed outside of York. There’s lots like that near me. Great video. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I bet we did! I always ride past bikers and wonder if it's something I've spoke with online! Just need to keep an eye open for the mismatched wheels!!!!
@@SaffySprocket I’ve got ribbons on my Scrambler bar ends so you’ll know it’s me! 🥳 Happy riding!
Love your blogs, keep on doing them
Glad you like them!
Nice one, Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much
Hi Saffy I hate motorways too and they are mmna mna 🤣 the B roads around north Yorkshire are brilliant, and I see you chose Mc D's, keep up the great content see ya out there 🤗😘
Fantastic content 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you so much 🥰
Saffy you're looking very good and beautiful and Joyful motorcyclist 🏍️🏍️🏍️ Enjoy your motorcycle touring⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁 you're very Good human being
Glad you enjoyed the East Coast. If you travel this way again, please get in touch. I live in Scarbados and to would be my pleasure to show you around.
Some brilliant roads up that way, hope you enjoyed it
I did! Was just gutted about the bank holiday traffic! Really want to go back and give the area the attention it deserves, I came away feeling like there were so many more roads to explore that I didn't get a chance to see
@@SaffySprocket that why I planned and took a day off through the week, however, with it being half term was still pretty busy. Dont give up though and plan again for hopefully a quieter time 😎
Great video. Strikes me that you could make an adventure out of a trip to the supermarket. By the way the word is 'monotamunamus'.👍🙂
It was fantastic to see my local area on here Saffy. I live 13 miles away from whitby and alot of my RUclips videos are about all the North Yorkshire moors. Excellent video
Oh, awesome! I fully intend to come back later on in the summer (probably during a week day when it's less busy) and follow the coastal road all the way down next time! Would have loved to explore more but the holiday traffic was immense and it was a bit much with the bank holiday
@@SaffySprocket I never go into Whitby on a bank holiday it is crammed packed. Next time you are up give me a shout and I will take you on the quieter and most scenic roads. Take care Saffy
@@bikinglife1547 Will do! Have a great weekend!
@@SaffySprocket you too Saffy
Nice girl on a nice bike!! Great video's!! Pardon me for following you on RUclips.
🤪
Welcome aboard!
I need one of those seat cushions, then maybe I will do the miles your doing, Glad your making the most of the bike, good on you.
Honestly - a huge god send!
Whitby is one of my favourite UK towns, childhood hols etc :)
yaaaaasss but the chips&fish is expensive
I went to Malton (nr Scarborough) the other day from Wigan 200 mile round trip on my Tiger traffic was really bad on A64 great video
The A64 wasn't the best but it did the job!
Good vid😎
Don't you just hate it when people are late! Looked like a nice little trip. Fancy a bigger trip head on down to us in sunny Devon... I am sure we can show you some spectacular roads and incredible scenery. Not to mention some friendly people ;-)
Ahahaha, I'm not late ~ I just run on a different time zone :D
Invest in a power bank saffron , and you’ll always have a charge 😊
Another good adventure, we’ve ridden to Scarborough and Whitby loads of times , great route ( we live in the Peak District) 👍🏼
I have one ☠️ always forget to charge it
@@SaffySprocket 🤣👍
Can’t believe you passed within a couple of miles of my house. I agree motorways are horrible. First thing I did was fit a usb socket to handlebars. Satnav is great but drains battery.
Yeh, I have a USB fitted to my bike - the issue is I'm using a cheap temporary phone right now while my s20 gets repaired! The battery on it is just awful!
You are just so bubbly and cute but also a bit of a loon 😂, I love it, don't ever change and keep up the great videos
Thank you so much ☺ 💓
Nice to see my local area, next time you're near York and looking for somewhere to eat check out Squires biker Cafe just outside of York or NY500 near Malton/Pickering. Stay safe hun 👌
Helmsley the weekend of the farm yard party we get about Thousands of bikers turn up and check out i2i motorcycle academy just outside York for some great 1 day motorbike courses.
Nice one saffy .
Thanks Jack :D
just a tip buy a battery case of amazon and keep it fully charged in your bag. if you get a good one you can leave it on your phone and it will "charge through" that way if your battery runs out you can just press the button on the back and you have a full charge to bail you out.
I have a battery, always forget to charge the battery 😂 🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋
@@SaffySprocket I'm terrible with an external battery as well I find the case so much better because I can charge it overnight on my phone
Battery dying a mile before your arrival in the middle of nowhere? Ahh the good times, makes for good memories 😅
:D My favourite stories are when I screw up somewhere
Great vlog saf, quick question are those comfort seats you have strapped to the bike any good? Thanks ride safe 👍
Amazing! 100% worth while investment
Morning just watched your video for the 1st time very entertaining . your a very happy bubbly person do you have a charger for your phone to the bike i find these things come in handy when riding to Spain i had the same problem phone died lol you should ride to willingham woods market raisen you would love it there . big bike meeting place cafe weds nite or Sundays are the best times to go .
Thank you so much! My motorbike does have a charger - just using a rubbish phone while my S20 gets repaired - it doesn't hold charge well enough
Longtime no see Saf. Be careful with how much weight you carry behind your rear wheel. Too much will lighten front end and you'll lose grip cornering and more importantly braking. Just in case you weren't aware.🙂
Your such a dag Saffy at least this time you didn't have to stop for a pee and your luggage stayed on . Take care safe riding from one who has been riding for sixty years and still enjoying it . Mal in Australia
I had to google what a dag was ahahaha! I've never heard that term before but I think I love it! Still religiously checking the luggage now ahahaha - Terrified of it happening again
Just to let you know a dag in Australia is not referring you too that part of a sheep ,I wouldn't be so rude ,it means your a little bit crazy in a funny way . I follow a few motorcyclist in the UK and some who are travelling the world on bikes . You remind me of Kanga ,who is also a dag . Take care ride safe ,ohh strap your luggage on . Mal in Australia
lovely trip some lovely roads down there. Shame about the traffic at times tho
Yeh it can be a pain but still, being on the bike in traffic is still better than no bike at all
@@SaffySprocket yer most definitely have fun on your next adventures
You made me laugh, but isn't just great being out on the bike:-)
Very much so! I have a new travel video coming out this Sunday 6pm UK time :) make sure you check it out if you enjoyed this one!
Brilliant video! Where did you stay in those glamping pods?
Lawnsgate Farm, Shaw End, Whitby
I dunno how you always keep such a positive attitude haha 😄 I'd be stressed to hell
Copious amounts of caffeine 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@SaffySprocket haha, second that. I find it hard to resist the daily monster like 🤣
What was the navigation issue, poor signal? If you use Google maps you can download a map area for offline mode before you start, and any route plan entered will automatically be downloaded too, the only issue I have with it is if I take a wrong turn or intentionally deviate off the route it won’t reroute automatically without a connection
My phone keeps dying - I'm currently using a very very cheap £40 mobile phone while my s20 is being repaired :) Unfortunately, the phone is so cheap, it takes ages to set up and doesn't last very long! Hopefully have my proper mobile phone back from the repair shop
much better weather than last time but much worse traffic, they must've known you were going.
ahahahahha YES!
👍❤️
Should off stopped at seaways café on way to York, motorbike friendly, loads of bikers and good food
I'll have to check it out next time!
I hate motorways on my bike it nakers your tyres and your soul, great vlog thanks Steve
Motorways are rubbish but an evil necessity unfortunately :-[
does your new usb plug not work ps I have a power bank with solar on it charges on the way
It works sometimes
Great film, what’s the name of the place you stayed?
I'll be honest, I'm not entirely sure, it was quite a while ago if I'm honest but I found this place on air b&b :D
All the bloody bugs I've seen on my mirrors, makes me wonder why people put their helmets on them 😂
Just found your channel and sub'd 👍
Welcome aboard the madhouse!
I use beeline as my sat nav just link it to google maps on my mobile phone. No complaints hope this is useful
I've seen a lot of things about beeline, I should check them out
I'm a beeline user too. Great device. Charge lasts for ages. It's basic turn by turn and I do have the occasional wrong turn if there are 2 turns close together but overall I love it. Water proof and shock proof to. You can also inport gpx routes in to it.
My real surname is Scarbrough and I've never been there awesome video
you should! The fish and chips is fab
Well sun dry roads nice views havin ta use the motorway not much fun but hey sometime they are a necessary evil though very boring . : )
Too true! Love how far they get ya, hate how boring they are!
think my next trip will be to Whitby from Carlisle
Do it! Try to avoid weekends if you can
Roadside 'burger' vans for eating....can watch your bike and luggage.
How was Whitney?
Busy but I loved it!!!
Great roads, being out on the bike is good for your being.
Brilliant, you just need to start carrying food with you lol
I agree! I'm slowly getting into the swing of things! Need to experiment a bit more with cooking on the road to save more (so i can travel more!)
@@SaffySprocket you can take a look at the travel stoves, there are, depending on your preferance, ones that you use gas canisters, or the ones with wich you can use petrol. Madornomad.com had a review on petrol ones
@@Yangvar I do carry a jet boil around with me. I'm just struggling to think of lightweight food options but to be honest, I just haven't done a lot of research into it. It's been a huge learning curve but I suspect I will keep refining the process each week until I become a pro at it! Next investment is certainly going to be a powerbank that can charge my motorcycle battery after the weekend I've just had (wait until you see the video next week!) I ended up having to get three blokes to help me push my bike up a hill to jump start it ahahah
@@SaffySprocket depending on how do you like to cook and what type of pan you have, there are lots of options, what I can recomend though is making a risotto style meals. What I do is fry meat and veg, add spices and then add rice, some water or chicken stock and all you have to do is wait for the rice to cook!
@@SaffySprocket try taking a dog with you! Loads of places don't let you in so you quickly get used to taking your own grub 🤣
Out again lol when u changing that stock exhaust ,
Soooooooooooooooon ;) Stand by
Heads up.......nice exhausts are cool....but if you actually spend a lot of time on the bike and highway, they can be very loud and annoying.
A quiet exhaust is a pleasant ride!
You got a RIGHT HAND SIDE SIDE STAND ???????? Or then mirror image on your camera
why don't you buy a cheap used car sat nav, it could save you a lot of time, tho you would loose your mystery tour.lol
I usually use my phone but it was in the repair shop 😀 but it's been repaired now
"Follow directions from Scarborough to York"?
They take you on A roads mainly.
"The motorway home after York?"
Really?
You miss the most amazing biking roads by not looking at.......
Maps, and planning a little!
You must some great fish an chips Whitby or Scrabrough
I went to Whitby and had my first deep fried Mars bar 🤣
8:51 Whitney?? Lol
words are hard ahahaha
Hello would be better if you could alter your camera angle 😂
shhhhhhhhhhhhhhs ahahaha I fixed it now
I invited for visites m'y contre
Thanks!
I hate motorways so boring - the British Country side is fantastic- the best days out on bike avoid motorways and A roads as much as possible and get out early no matter what the forecast says- take some jam butties with you and a bottle of corporation pop to drink its a lot cheaper than McDonalds.
I don’t know you ! But myself , I found to hate the motorway. Honestly why don’t you try to avoid the motorway . With motorbike, I don’t like it !
You are copying to rosie gabrielle..
I haven't heard of her but I'll check out her work :)
