Where did the Japanese get so many soldiers? Even the Third Reich had several times fewer... And Japan... The bulk of its troops were destroyed by the Soviet Union in August 1945. The only thing I can assume is that everyone is fighting, including 10 year old children, without any weapons, naked.

It’s called Japanese warrior honor and means every man woman and child would fight like rabid animals to repel the American invasion operation downfall was a real plan the United States Army came up with to invade the Japanese homeland it was predicted to be the bloodiest battle in American history and would’ve left destroyed Japan a thousand times over. Many solders were relieved when they heard about the atomic bomb on Japan because they knew they wouldn’t have to slaughter an entire country and be slaughtered in the process

Japan didn't surrender because of the nukes, they surrendered due to Manchuria being occupied by the soviets, and thus their only food supplys left were stripped, and they were deprived of the only thing that truly would have stopped them from a invasion like this. :(
