I’m kind of relieved that South Park didn’t win the Oscar. Because Trey Parker co-wrote “Blame Canada” and before the ceremony, he and Matt Stone did drugs and if he won, Trey would’ve given his acceptance speech while he was high, which would’ve caused national controversy and the cancellation of South Park

I am Canadian and watched the film in the theater. Loved it! The scene where the boys finally get in to the theater to watch Terrance and Philip was priceless. Life imitating Art imitating Life. As members of the T&P audience are shown storming out of the theater, so too members of the IRL audience were leaving in a huff with kids in tow. I never laughed so hard! South Park is genius. Thank you Trey and Matt.
Wonderful to see so many years later that Robin was also a fan. Good job Mr. Williams!

I hope Trey & Matt are gonna win Oscars in the future. They DESERVE it & they make great contents. They have won 5 Emmys, 4 Tonys & EVEN a Grammy, about time they compete for the Oscars again & win when they make movies again. I love South Park but i wanna see them make new stuff again for the Cinemas. Their latest film, that turns 20 years now, are awsome. And may Robin Williams rest in peace. He left us TOO early. 💙🙏

The irony of the Oscars having a censored performance of a song from a movie that took the piss out of film/TV censorship...
Hollywood has always been on a level of out-of-touch that flabbergasts the sane mind.

The fact that sadly Mary Kay Bergman took her life shortly before the Oscars, A wonderfully talented voice gone. That Robin Williams filled in, he did a fantastic job pulling this off. Sadly only to take his own life a few years later. Robin was full of energy, full of wit, always compassionate when needed. Even the day of his own death, he had cheered up a depressed girl who was struggling with her own demons and got her back on track that morning. Sadly this is why even people who always seem on point and centered, can fall victim to their own hidden demons. Mary and Robin, if we only knew, and could have prevented your final outcome. God help us all.

God, I miss this man. I'll never forget the day he died. I was flying home from New Orleans and had a layover in Baltimore. The news was announced while we were in the air, and there was no in-flight WiFi. When we got on the ground and people turned their phones back on, you could hear quiet little gasps from all over the plane as the updates trickled in. I swear, BWA had a weird... vibe. I was only there for 90 minutes, but it seemed so quiet, and people were just kind of gathered around TVs showing CNN. Collective "shock" is probably far too strong a term in a technical, psychological sense, but it's also the closest I can get to what I saw. Just sort of universal, low-key grief.
