    Also would be nice to have an option to bring closer the clones inside a defined areas. Sometimes you have a few clones, but they end up too far from each other. And if you size the spline down you mess with the clones.

      Thank you for the comment! For feature requests, please can you post over on the forums? The developers won't see any requests here and there is no way to track them - which is why we have a dedicated place at forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?board=38.0. Thanks! Tom

    Hello. Is there clean edge mode in c4d, just like in vray and 3dsmax?

    • @ChaosCorona
      @ChaosCorona  10 месяцев назад

      There is Edge Trimming mode, yes, added since this initial video was made :) support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/articles/5244883674897-How-to-use-Chaos-Scatter-with-Corona-for-Cinema-4D-Advanced-Features#h_01GG6J1CWE8HJ5S0N5XV647AF9 . Right now this is done via shader, but in Corona 12 this will be changed to a checkbox very similar to how it is done in V-Ray. Hope this helps! Tom

    Is it possible to use a distribution mask to distribute objects?

    • @ChaosCorona
      @ChaosCorona  2 года назад +1

      Yes, this was added for Cinema 4D in Corona 9 (blog.corona-renderer.com/chaos-corona-9-released/ ). Hope this helps! Tom

    Hi does anyone knows how to do that spline path of road and the circle so then I can put in the scatter? Any video where I can see it that will be great. Also any other alternative if we dont use scatter will be clone right?

      Hi! This was asked over on the forums too, so we'll answer there (also, we're not sure what the question means, but let us know on the forums and we'll be able to help out over there! forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=41188.msg217959#msg217959 if anyone wants to follow along). tell me how to make the animation of the leaves like a wind movement

    • @ChaosCorona
      @ChaosCorona  2 года назад +1

      That would have to be baked into the model that you scatter - usually people purchase/find the model that already includes animation. Creating such an animation is not a "Corona-thing", since Corona is a render engine and modeling and animation are for the host software to handle, so probably best to search on Maxon and various C4D channels to see if this topic is covered. Hope this helps! Tom

    Current state to object is not supported? Can we move/scale/rotate individual clones?

    • @ChaosCorona
      @ChaosCorona  2 года назад

      Not in C4D at the moment, but editing of individual instances is planned for Corona 9, you can check progress on our tentative roadmap at trello.com/c/yfFr22h9/127-chaos-scatter-improvements . Thanks! Tom

    Can't we already do this with the cloner?

    • @ChaosCorona

      There will be some features that can be done natively in C4D, which was the reason we did not convert the Corona Scatter functionality across to C4D (Max does not have such a powerful system as C4D does in that regard). However with the new features in Chaos Scatter, it is much easier to use Scatter to set this up than by using the native C4D functions, and of course there are even more features planned for future versions. It is still mostly an ease-of-use issue, I am sure with enough effort you could set up most any result natively, but Scatter makes it easier to set up, easier to control, easier to replicate, and is just all-round more intuitive, since it is created for a specific purpose rather than as a general tool. Try it out for yourself and see how you like it compared to working with a native C4D-only set up :) Thanks! Tom

    Hello everyone
    Can someone tell me why the maximum amount of count is limited to 1000 on Corona for C4D at the moment. I'd like to do a field and therefore I need to multiply many small bushes. Thanks for the help :)

    • @ChaosCorona
      @ChaosCorona  Год назад

      Count is not limited to 1,000 - that would be way too small to be useful :) In fact I don't think there is a limit on the Count, it is entirely possible to put a value in there which will bring your machine to a standstill ;) Ideally we'd need to see the scene, or at least screenshots, to see why you think that is a limit, but that's not possible on RUclips - our forums are always a better place to seek help as that allows sharing images back and forth (forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?board=49.0 ).
      Things to note, under the Config tab you can set a Max Limit and then no matter how big a Count you enter, the max number of scatters is limited to this value (this is so you can set a nice max limit to avoid your machine coming to a halt if you mistype an extra 0 on the end while you experiment with the actual count), so be sure you don't have a value of 1000 entered in there.
      Also note under Viewport Display there is a Max Instances, which limits how many objects are seen in the viewport, but has no effect on how many are shown in the final render, in case that is also causing confusion on not seeing as many objects as you expect. Hope this helps, if not, do pop over to the forum - I could have shared screengrabs of the UI over there too ;) Thanks! Tom

    Hi guys! Why the count of clones doesn't respect the the inserted input number? Don't tell me it works like the stupid selection field in Mograp Cloner.

    • @ChaosCorona
      @ChaosCorona  2 года назад

      Hi Ricardo! Sorry, I don't fully understand the question - can you pop over to the forums and post, because there you could show us some screengrabs that will explain what you mean (and also the support and dev teams will be able to see and respond, and then we can use screengrabs etc. too in replies - so much better than the very limited RUclips comments section for us to understand and discuss questions!). forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?board=49.0 Thanks! Tom

      @@ChaosCorona The question is pretty simple, at 4:41 we have the count of 1000 in surface scattering tab but in the viewport we see just a few of them, why?

    • @ChaosCorona
      @ChaosCorona  2 года назад

      @@Ricardo-de9ju Apologies for the late reply, we missed this one. What happens is the area excludes work like a filter and prevent instances from spawning in those specific areas but at the same time it keeps the rest intact. That is why the count stays the same yet you see less instances generated.
      This is useful because setting up exclude or include areas won't mess with your distribution that you've already fine tuned.
      If it didn't work like this, anytime you'd add an include / exclude area you'd have to tweak the count number. Hope that helps! Nejc

    • @Ricardo-de9ju
      @Ricardo-de9ju 2 года назад

      @CoronaRenderer Maybe it works for excluded areas, but for specific ones I think not so good. Sometimes we want the exactly number of copies inside some specific location. The question is, are those hidden clones being calculated? Because Mograph Cloner does that, and the workaround for it is to copy the desired selection to another object and hide it from render in order to replicate the copies.

    • @ChaosCorona
      @ChaosCorona  2 года назад

      @@Ricardo-de9ju While under the hood it can be quite complex, the simplest way to describe it and give an idea of what happens is that it calculates and remembers the position of the clones but it doesn't do any kind of populating of those coordinates. So it is basically the best of both worlds in a way.
      As for your suggestion, we'd really encourage you to post it on our forums (forum.corona-renderer.com/) as that is where the developers can have a closer look at it. The forums also make it easier to post screenshots and screen recordings which help a ton too.
      Thank you! Nejc
