This was the fighting game debut of Zero from the Mega Man franchise. Glad to see SNK brought back his true power at full force.
Rockman Zero/Megaman Zero specifically, not the Zero from the Rockman X/Megaman X series.

This is its first and only fighting game. 21XX Zero’s debut was in Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom.
In Zero’s ending in MVC 3, They reference this confusion.

This game is a favorite of mine. Either going to pizza places with friends and playing it there, or playing this and 3rd Strike at our local card shop. I am real happy to see this one come back in some way.

I love the game, but it was a little bit dissapointing the timing, we were waiting for real good news from KOFXV.
I know, around 2003/2005 this was the most played game at cabinets (along with kof 2002 and Mark of the Wolves) , a lot of people on local arcades at Monterrey were throwing hands on this masterpiece.
As mexican, i can say yes but no. Cuz the one we want is CvS2, but this is a huge step closer

I used to sit in the arcade all night on this game. Nobody would try it. I bought a Neo Geo Aes just to play broken Chun Li again. But the cartridge was like $150 back then. Good Times!
SVC has my favorite Chun Li and Ken of any game.

I've been waiting for this game ever since the US PS2 release was canceled back in 2004/2005.
I think we need people to buy this game so that we have a better chance for a Capcom vs. SNK collection and then possibly a SVC Chaos 2 and Capcom vs. SNK 3.

CvS 2 is my favorite fighting game ever. If Capcom give him to us in the next time, I ll be so happy I run naked in the street with à fool hat 😊

There's 2 guard cancel dashes. (Forward, Forward uses less meter but harder to pull off) or use B+C (weak kick and strong punch) uses more meter but easier.
Gc forward is hella easy. It's just reacting to doing stuff afterwards is the main thing.

I gotta admit as pumped as I am for MVC collection, MVC2 itself as at the bottom of the games I’m most eager to play in that.
SVC Chaos is probably where all that excitement will go with because I have no experience with the game and heard some pretty wild and interesting things about it.
Prepare for disappointment.

I mainly played Hugo in SvC, and that was _pressure_ . A bridge too far. M.Bison plain didn't work right either.

I have a soft spot for MSHvSF since it was the first Vs. game I played "seriously", but it's unquestionably the worst of the Vs. games. It's "XSF but boring".

This felt like one of those times you stumble into an arcade and just see a bunch of broken stuff on the screen. As bad or broken as this game may be it def has its charms.

Code Mystics does a Great Job with Emulation/Porting.
Their Card Fighters Clash port for Switch is SO Good.
Is it straight port or some of the translations/bugs fixed?
They were not allowed to fix the bugs in this game. In the future SNK might let them

Their job was just to port it with rollback netcode, thats all.
Oh man, this game has some of the worst cases of SNK boss syndrome ever. They had it at a bowling alley I used to go to. They had set the difficulty level to ridiculous. Orochi Iori was beatable. Violent Ken was worse than fighting SF Alpha 2's Akuma. Serious Mr. Karate was just impossible; like, "fuck it I quit", impossible. I didn't even know about the Firebrand or Athena boss path until much later by reading about it online because my friends and I never got it or anyone else that played it that I saw.
Neo Geo games have a difficult from 1 to 8. Usually, the Cabinet will tell you Level-Number

Goenitz was a pain in the ass. I felt like he was worse in this game than in KOF '96. Literally would spam projectile attacks at any range so rush downs were near impossible to pull off against him

I'm glad that Jwong the GOAT made a video for this very underrated game. This game has one of the alltime best variations of Chun li, Guile,Demitri,and Terry. And it has the alltime best version of Geese Howard other than his Real Bout Fatal Fury Special variation imo. The version of Athena they put in this game is awful though. Shes definitely the worst boss character in the game. But overall the game is good. It's different, it's unique, it's broken,and it's criminally underrated and underappreciated. I know Capcom vs SNK2 is the best. I know Capcom vs Snk1 pro was good. But I also know that SVC chaos is also good. All 3 Capcom vs Snk games are good and worth playing. Every single great 2D fighting game has some broken character or some other broken stuff in it. Svc chaos isn't a bad game just because of broken characters. It's still fun to play. I never understood how alot of players really love Roll Canceling in CVS2 but don't love Guard Cancel Front Step in Svc Chaos? I hope the GOAT continues to play this game and show the whole FGC that SVC chaos is not as bad as people think.
The thing is that CVS2 and CVS1 have the grooves and presentation down. SVC doesn’t and that’s why it’s unpopular
@theobserver4214 I agree. I'm not saying that SVC chaos is better than cvs1 or cvs2,I'm just saying it's worth playing. I'm saying it doesn't suck because of the broken stuff. Or maybe I'm just biased cause I've been playing the game for over a decade and because the game has my 3rd favorite versionof Chun li on it. But to each his own. I like all 3 Capcom vs snk games and I'm cool with knowing that I'm one of few people on earth who actually likes SVC chaos and knows how to play it.
@@tamareikjackson4960 it’s a shame it was made during SNKs dark ages, because there was a lot of potential with the concept. A SVC2 would be awesome to see, but most new school fighting games suck these days
I just noticed this game on Steam when I was searching through the store earlier today before the time you uploaded this video. I was wondering if you were gonna check it out. This sure was a big surprise! I think I once played this game at a local arcade for just a little bit and played a 2-player match or 2 back in 2012. After seeing this, I think I might give this a try. I certainly hope Capcom vs. SNK 2 gets released like this as well.
it's too bad we never got a second SvC game, would have loved to see what they'd have changed and improved if given a sequel.

SNK knew how to treat charge characters. SVC Chaos gave us the best Guile, Sagat, and Demitri sprites along with every well done Capcom characters.

I really love the voice acting / samples of all the Capcom characters. Everyone sounds so horrifying, like 70s martial art movie bosses.

Switch PS4 version will be available on the 22nd. I just wished they’d slow down the before fight dialogue! It’s still way to fast to read, like one quick ass run on sentence.

You have no idea how BROKEN Violent Ken is... He's actually the only broken unit in here... That Skull Shoryu needs to be erased on this release... PLEASE...

Ironically he doesn't even go top 5 lmao (Serious Karate is even considered by some to be worse than his OG counterpart due to his lack of cancels outside of max mode). Geese and Zero are the true top 2 and usually banned

I don't care if it's considered broken by perfectionist, this game was on the original xbox back in 2001 and now it's back for a limited time and you guys better add it to your libraries so you don't miss out AGAIN.
This version isn't on xbox unfortunatly.
That XBox port back then was a somewhat botched version of the PS2 game. I haven’t forgotten how much better it ran on the import PS2.

Back when this came out and internet wasnt much of a thing me and my friend created this rumor that there is a SUPER XCEED move that you can only do once a week. other players in our community kept researching about it and it was funny. I just told them I saw one player not from our local do it, so it means it cannot be done for a week.

A lot of people talk smack on this game, but this was one of my favorite fighting games to play with my friends back in the day.

One of the game's highlights, among all the problems. But unfortunately Capcom wasnt interested in assimilating this idea into the main series, like putting him together with Evil Ryu. There was only his appearance in USF2 and nothing else.
The sprites are great. The artwork was great. The roster is great. Broken characters for sure. Should be fun to revisit

when i first played that game on nintendo switch, it's really difficult to control the character and it's too fast to fight anyone from local to online play... i like the fact that only one country (Mexico) who also hypes over that game is really promising even more just like Terry Bogard in Super Smash Bros Ultimate

I haven't seen anyone make use of the meter's combo system. When you hit LVL 2 or Max you can dash cancel any of your normal/special moves on hit.
Kyo and Genjuro are great at using the meter combo system. They were almost made for it
I love that Demitri is in the game instead of Morrigan.
It would be good if RASPUTIN (World Heroes) could be brought back. Always love his "Secret Garden" attack.

This game desperately needs a fan sequel. Fans need to import the Neo Geo Battle Coliseum roster to the SNK side, and fans have made Capcom characters in the svc chaos sprites.. ive seen people have made Strider Hiryu, Sakura, and more in the snk style. This game's programming is so simple, I know fans can achieve a legit sequel

I actually played this somewhat competitively, but anyone who masters Tessa’s unblockable loop into her command throw kinda makes the game a non-event.
