India is a lucky country because it has many relics and histories. They will get a lot of benefit from the relics. Please do more research and gives some lessons to show this is genuine Buddha bone.
Please install this relic into a stupa Or pagoda.
It would not only be a gesture of reverence for buddha but also be helpful for those meditators and monks who come to these shrines.

Lord Buddha's relics are there in full view in a museum in my city. Small bone pieces are kept on a glass tray housed inside a miniature model of a Stupa in the museum. I see the relics every time I visit the museum. Love from Kolkata. :)

Have they attempted to carbon date the ashes or cloth that was found in the stone container? if any trace carbon is left?
If only that transparent cylindrical container were held in such a way that the contents were visible. His right hand covers what we want to see!

Some thing like this would be very valuable ofcourse this is risky to be displayed. Smugglers may find it extremely valuable.
Relics are "sensitive". If it is kept by "impure" means by sinful person, it can suddenly vanish. No use to steal Buddhist relics. They have their "character ".
This is why they usually end up in a stupa.
