Agree Billlie. Those little scales are so helpful and despite the low price tag work incredibly well and seem to be indestructible. Useful in many knitting situations, not least when playing yarn chicken. Couldn't do without mine.
You can also weigh the cone when you first buy the yarn, and assume that if the yarn + cone weigh 600g and the cone is supposed to hold 500g of yarn, than the cone itself is 100g. You can do this before you start knitting from the cone. Hope it helps!

You're absolutely right!! But I'm always too excited to begin knitting to take the time to weigh the fully loaded cone.

Thanks for mentioning it. I haven't seen it since I've only bought cones from Colourmart. Can you share one or two in case others are interested?
