I think one of the main reasons why Issues is such a phenomenal, focused, and consistent album is because Brendan O'Brian had a very professional and serious work ethic. According to the band members, Brendan did not tolerate booze, drugs, partying, etc. He didn't tolerate goofing around. Instead of a mindset of "Hey, let's party and have fun while we record this record", he had a philosophy of "When you show up to the studio, you are going to be sober, clear-headed, and ready to work."

B - Life is Peachy, See You On The Other Side, The Serenity of Suffering
    C - The Paradigm Shift
D - Take A Look In The Mirror, Untitled, Korn III, The Path of Totality
    ??? - Requiem
I think Korn's been on the upswing with their last three albums, like a sort of comeback. The Nothing is my favorite Korn album since Follow the Leader, and it's emotional enough for me to realise that it's everything Korn III was supposed to be. I hope the momentum keeps going on Requiem and they have yet another A tier album, and I also hope my only complaint with the album is that it's too short.

I think KoRn is one of those bands that hasn't really put out a BAD album per say!! Sure, they put out some underwhelming albums, but their weakest albums are still better than some other major bands, and that's quite impressive given the fact that they put out 14 studio albums in 30 years. Though I'd definitely swap some albums around, their Untitled Album is their weakest imo and some songs on Follow the Leader aged like milk over the years, but most of it matches toward what I think, and is an overall a good ranking.

    Self-Titled----Untouchables, there isn't a song that I skip.
I love the raw and heavy consistent guitar tones of Life is Peach. I love the infectious choruses on Follow the Leader. I love how they dialed it back on Issue, I see it as a more hard-rock oriented album than a nu metal album. I love the diverse guitar effects and experimentation on Untouchables, very atmospheric record.
Take a look in the Mirror had potential to be great. The singles were great!! but they should have taken more time on this album.
See You... there isn't a song I skip. Jonathan carries the entire record, and the rest of the band don't know to formulate a song without Brian. This must have been hard for them.
Untitled I really like but at the same time forgettable. The instrumentation kind of stepped up, but not to Jonathan's level. I see this one as Jonathan's solo project.
Korn III is super forced but straight up trash. Vocals and drum are the only thing i could hear on this record. Jonathan doesn't seem to have any inspiration and Ray is just doing too much on the drums.
Path of Totality I think lit a fire under Korns Ass. I think the dynamic between members is finally there cause this record sounds like an actual Korn album compared to the previous 3.
Paradigm Shift I love how much it sounds like Take a look in the Mirror but with avenues they've never done before. A good mix of new and old.
Serenity I love how much it sounds like Untouchables + Take a look in the Mirror. This sound is Classic Korn to me.
Nothing sounds more like Paradigm but with a heavier and darker presence. The sounds like New Korn material.
Path of Totality--- Nothing, I didn't enjoy when they were first released.
But going back in preparation for Requiem, I found a new love for those records.

@@masterknife8423 Life is Peachy, i similarly compare it to Tool's Aenima.
On Undertow you feel that Tool were trying to fit in a specific area in music borrowing a lot from grunge. Trying to fit into a square. But with Aenima this is Tool simply just Jamming out as a band. Not trying to fit into a square and not pushing any envelopes yet. Just jamming and grooving with one another.
Aenima has interludes such as Useful Idiot, Message to Harry Manback, Intermission, Die Eier von Satan, Cesaro Summability, and (-) ions. Life is Peachy has porno creep, Wicked, Low Rider, and to some extent Twist.
Undertow and Korn's Self-titled didn't carry any interludes. It was one heavy hitting song after another. On some occasions an album does need a break in between songs, and this is what they were experimenting with. The result turned out great. I'm not a fan of interludes but these don't offend me, it makes the listen more entertaining.
I do agree that Korn's self-titled is more thought out compared to Life is Peachy from the lyrics, the song writing, and song structure. But with Life is Peachy this is Korn just Jamming as a band. Grooving with one another and having fun.
Aenima and Life is Peachy from the recording sounds like these two Bands had fun making these records. And that is what I really like, when you could tell that an artist had a blast making their form of art.

You know they’re a great band because their fans span all genres. In the 90s I was a British kid living in a sheltered suburban town singing Christian hymns at school and listening to the Beatles through my parents at home - the last person you’d consider a “Korn fan”.
Korn came into my world through Metallica and an interest in metal. I’ve loved them for thirty years.
Because there is no typical “Korn fan”. The music is so real that it stands up alongside any great music from any genre.
Their music sits in my collection alongside Lou Reed, Hank Williams, Radiohead, the Beach Boys… because they’re in that category that transcends genre.

Korn… one of the first bands I got into. Man I can write a novel on how much my friends and I loved Korn. 98/99 when “Freak on a Leash” and “Got the Life” had a lot of radio play. When I finally got a recorded copy on cassette, nonstop listen. My friend Kyle lend me the self titled and that was it. That album was their best. Still to this day. I remember playing “Shadow Warrior” on PC and my dad walked in when “F****t” was on and the lyric “you can suck my dick and fucking like it” and my dad was stupid pissed lol
    So many memories of Korn…
I will say I never understood the hype of Untouchables. I remember a friend of my sister’s downloaded it months before it came out and I was stupid hyped…then I was majorly disappointed. Like the singles and maybe 2 other tracks are fine but god that cd is not good. I don’t care what people say.

Stopping by cause I always drop a like on your new videos, & I have to say: I had NO idea Korn had this many albums.
After "Untouchables" I dipped. I just...I couldn't. It was the album Jon spent $4.3 million to make, because he was tired of people saying he was screaming & not singing (hence the emphasis on his vocals changing for this one), but I gotta admit...I was ticked he'd let people get to him like that & change up. It's definitely awesome to stay open to change, but not like this (not like this)! Also, Korn had been losing me for awhile due to the fact a 40 year old man was still crying about high school bullies (even his friend Chino called him out on it around 2001).
I got to finally see them at OzzFest 2003 & it was this perfect cap off for me. It was the closing of the book for my many years listening & loving Korn.

Old school Korn fan since the late 90s and I always thought Life is Peachy was a dud

I find it super interesting how the fans that listened to Korn since like the Self Titled - Life is Peachy era don't really like the newer albums (or at least don't like the new style as much). I knew Korn since I was a kid but did not get super deep into their discography until Paradigm Shift came out and I gotta say I like their newer style (the last 4 albums) more than anything they've done in the past. I also find See you on the Other Side pretty awesome. I was in highschool when I first listened to it and it was super pop with very catchy vocal melodies, but it had that weird creepy album art and weird fucking lyrics and I just loved that.

Like almost every album has some good singles but as a whole they just lack that same magic
