I think super collider is more a D there is some bad songs yea but there is also some good ones but the rest of the ranking I agree with (the system has failed is an amazing album!)
Risk is pretty cool. I actually place the Capitol Punishment The Megadeth Years in the top Greatest Hits albums ever made. Kill the King is one of my favorite songs and Dave wrote it because it's easy to play and he was overcoming carpal tunnel at the time.

@@bluebomber301 I think it commonly gets overlooked. Likely because it falls between what many would call their best lineups. Either with Marty/Menza or Poland/Gar. I would agree the lineup isn’t iconic or as talented on SFSGSW as these other two lineups were but the riffs and songs themselves hold their own in my opinion against both albums. Probably as you said just a nick below PS
Yeah, this guy take on SFSGSW was bad. The songs were really catchy, songs like Liar, 502, Mary Jane, and In My Darkest Hour are my favorite. Hook In Mouth is great too, a bit lengthy same goes Set The World Afire. Overall it’s A tier for me, I like the Sex Pistols cover too, not sure what he was going on about
the riffs are good but the drumming is super boring and gets on my nerves, no way it reaches the same level of quality as Peace Sells with Gar Samuelson on it
I feel like Countdown is an S-Tier. I think in terms if variety of songs, it does it best. War, Famine, Schizophrenia, superheros, suicide, skydiving, and climate change were all topics done on that album. I don't mind the slower pace because it's clever and Dave writes some really clever lyrics in there alongside Youthanasia. Those two albums with Marty and Nick were when the band meshed well together. Peace Sells I would put below those two because some of it could be seen as cheesy. Like the Conjuring, Good Mourning/Black Friday, and I Ain't Superstitious were all kind of weird. Countdown and Youthanasia's subject matters have aged very well. It loses some speed, but Dave is a better singer on this one. His voice matches the frantic nature of Skin O' My Teeth, High Speed Dirt, Crown of Worms, Sweating Bullets, and This Was My Life so well. The melodic guitar solos on Countdown to Extinction and Ashes In Your Mouth were particulary nice to listen to.
I would swap KIMB and SDSGSW. I bought both on vinyl on the same day, listened to both back to back, and significantly enjoyed So Far so good a lot more... very underrated (also Youthanasia S tier)
Of the big 4, Megadeth is my favorite. Even though they’ve put out some forgettable albums, they’re definitely the most consistent. Dystopia and The Sick, the Dying and the Dead might not be at the same level as Rust in Peace, they’re some of the best contemporary metal albums out there.
This man just made a list more controversial than the megadeth vs metalica debate Well done definitely don't agree with most of the placements but the points you made I can respect
Kinda strange that Youthanasia is “overrated” but “Cryptic Writings” is underrated. Huh? I love both but they’re similar to me. Oh well. At least you got Rust right. We can all agree there.
If you ask me personally - United Abominations is highly underrated. The composition is very good. It's got a great mix of melody and riffing which I love. It's just a shame that Megadeth's later good albums always get compared to the early legacy of the analog recordings and I just don't think that's fair. Some people will never get over the lost of Ellefson or Friedman or Nick Menza. Because people lack of adaption to modern production and the fact that Dave and the members are getting older, they don't have the energy to play 190 BPM like they use to at extreme speeds. And Kiko is a great guitarist and composer. I love the Angra stuff more than Megadeth because I love that power metal sound and style. So I like the later Megadeth stuff. Minus Supercollider and 2/3s of Thirteen. Otherwise it's all great stuff. That's the more modern Megadeth style I love. It's just a shame majority of the fans aren't open minded like that.
Countdown to extinction has to be the best they’ve ever written imo. Almost every song is a masterpiece. Yes it’s different to their other material but I don’t think it’s necessarily about “sticking to your guns” for an album to be great. I also think that if you liked that album, you’d also like some of youthanasia because that album is like an unspoken carrying on of ext. and is very unique as well. Maybe I like the album a bit more since as a guitarist, the riffs are quite sophisticated and yet so cool to hear at the same time. I think their top 3 in order for me are Extinction, Rust and Youth.
I think it's a masterpiece too and this is the first time I've ever heard anyone compare it to grunge. I understand it's not as thrashy as the previous ones but it's still absolutely metal. Youthanasia has some heavy riffs on it too but to me is a step down from CTE.
@@perpetualmotion357 yeah I agree, it’s a bit of a step down but I like the fact that it keeps with the CTE style which basically means more shit that I like 😂
List as a longtime fan. Not in order. S. KIMB. Peace Sells. RIP. A. Endgame. Dystopia. United Abominations. B. CtE. Youthanasia. TWNAH. TSHF. C. SFSGSW. Thirteen. D. CW. F. Risk. Super Collider.
I don't find the compositions interesting, and Dave's vox is laugh out loud ridiculous. RIP is great, but I don't care how good the guitarists are if it's just riff salad.
I think this guy makes the list like that just to get more comments haha like come on, 13 better than countdown to extinction or youthanasia? At least he put RIP at the top
As much as I love Megadeth I'll be the first to admit their discography is stupidly spotty and inconsistent lmao. Rust In Peace an undisputed thrash champion though, an all time favourite album for me.
I disagree lmao. It definitely is not super spotty. The first album through to Cryptic Writings are all B+ albums at worst. Risk is a D tier album, then everything else aside from Supercollider is C+. They are heavily consistent and haven't really made a terrible album aside from Supercollider.
I strongly disagree with your placement for Youthanasia? I love that album and reach for it often. I would put it at A+ and slide Peace Sells to S tier.
Agreeing with your ranking. There can only be one S and it should be this one. But his last two are worth the A considering the difficulty of producing legit and great material at this point in time.
Once he put Risk above Youthanasia, I typed this comment and couldn't continue on with the video. Unbelievable, I you really hope you come to your senses. Someone help this man
thanks!! definitely one of my favorites as well. it's not because of quality that they underrate it, it's because the critics can't adjust to Al Pitrelli and Jimmy DeGrasso, even though they killed it on the Rude Awakening tour!
Thanks for this video, Megadeth are my all-time favorite metal band and their albums have a permanent place in my playlist for over 30 years. I agree with almost all of your rankings with just 2 exceptions. Countdown to Extinction has a special place in my soul, because it was the first Megadeth album I listened to, so I will put it much higher, to A-tier I think. And I would place the Youthanasia album on the same level as Risk, which, by the way, is a very inspiring effort and showcases the versatility of Dave's songwriting talent. I also really appreciate how you put albums Cryptic Writings and The System has Failed high up in your rankings, they are among my most listened to Megadeth records and definitely deserve more attention!!!
S tier - Peace Sells and Rust A tier - KIMB, SFSGSW, Dystopia B tier - Countdown, Youthanasia, Cryptic Writings, System And then everything else. Personally I love the sound of Peace Sells. One of the best productions I think and it's got a great balance of technicality and that raw aggression. It's a consistent album with all the songs being similar in dark topics. It's full of catchy jazzy riffs that are all very memorable. It's my favorite album of all time depending on the day. I think it's a perfect album and yes I even listen to "I ain't Superstitious" just as much as the others. And of course that Ed Repka artwork is just the cherry on top. I love Rust too of course, but the deep cuts aren't as memorable and I don't like the production as much as the heavy low end of Peace Sells.
My Megadeth top 5: 1. Rust In Peace 2. Cryptic Writings 3. Peace sells 4. Countdown 5. Youthanasia I can't believe you have Killing is my Business as an "A" tier. I can't even listen to that album anymore, it's so bad!
Gonna heavily disagree with ya dude. Here's my take: S tier - Rust in Peace, United Abominations, Endgame, Dystopia A tier - Killing is my Business and Business is Good, Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?, Countdown to Extinction, The System Has Failed, The Sick, The Dying, And The Dead! B tier - Youthanasia, Cryptic Writings, The World Needs a Hero, Thirteen C tier - So Far So Good... So What?, Hiden Treasures D tier - Super Collider E tier - Risk
cryptic writings is my all time fav megadeth album out of all of them with in my opinion, the best songs being trust, she-wolf, use the man and almost honest

The solos on Youthnasia are exceptional and the songs are incredibly catchy and memorable, by far my favourite Megadeth album. I think many Megadeth fans don't rate it highly because it's not as thrashy as the others.
Youthanasia is a really good album. the opening track reckoning day is killer, a toute le monde is one of their best songs ever. (the entire crowd at their concerts sing along to it everytime) Family tree is a banger. I could on. Not a traditional thrash album, but its uniquely Megadeth.(if that makes sense) I agree with the list mostly except for that album. Should be A list
Youthanasia is similar to Iron Maiden's Somewhere in Time for me. They're both very underrated albums that are both top 5 albums for each band! Although Youthanasia is probably my 4th favourite Megadeth album whereas Somewhere in Time is my favourite Maiden album!
I really like 13. It has an addictiveness to it. And I liked the art too. The album just came on a right time. Saw it in a store and bought it and loved it. Made me feel young again. Listened to it for 2months in my car.
The System Has Failed is one of my favorites. I remember listening to it on repeat as a kid while playing San Andreas when tired of Radio X. It's maybe a little too polished for thrash, but it's really enjoyable, really solid album.
S - Peace Sells A - So Far - Rust - Countdown - Killing - Youthanasia - Endgame B - TSHF - Cryptic - TWNAH - SSS C - United Abominations - Thirteen - Dystopia D - Risk - super collider

Been slowly combing thru your content! Watched most of your ranked videos. Idk if you've heard of Unleash the Archers but they have a new album this year and would love to see a ranked video. Canadian power metal! But it's cool! I promise!
Agree with some, especially Risk and later although I'd rate United Abominations higher. So Far So Good So What remains a masterpiece, and Youthanasia deserves way, way more than D tier. Also Cryptic Writings deserves less than B.
My ranking inclueding the New Album 1. Peace Sells.... but Who's Buying 2. Rust in peace 3. Endgame 4. Countdown to exiction 5. Youthshia 6. So Far, So Good, So What 7. The System has failed 8. Dystopia 9. Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good! 10. The Sick, the Dying... and the Dead! 11. Cryptic Writings 12. United Abominations 13. Thirteen 14. Risk 15. The World Needs a Hero 16. Everyone's love for their albums are going to be different.Everyones ranking of them will be different. With that being said I love all of Megadeth's discography. In my opinion nothing is bad. I think Dave Mustaines journey as a musician, and songwriter has been brilliant. On a side note...all the hate for Supercollider is ridiculous. It's a great album. As is every album each in their own ways.
very good review. i agree with almost everything you say. the only album i would rank higher is "the world needs a hero". i think it has a good consistent thrashy sound the whole way through, except the song with (cannor remember the title) the symphony , see you in heaven or something like that. also "the system has failed" one of the best albums megadeth produced, nothing like rust in peace, but it's up there. esspecially when you consider the other albums released aroun that time. thanks for your thoughts. hope to hear more from you. esspecially abouth megadeth. my favorite.
A year late, but I want to give a few thoughts: - I understand why you're not that big a fan of Youthanasia. They doubled down on the sonic & writing shift starting with C2E; Not everyone's cup of tea for sure, but the writing is so much stronger than on Cryptic or Risk. - Faster does not mean better. I get the ferocity of KIMB, but there's no universe where its writing surpasses KEA. Dave wrote a lot of those riffs anyway, so it's not even a Megadeth/Metallica discussion, it's just a "look how angrier I am" record with worse lyrics & vocals that can't stand up to James (although Dave sounded good here).
I thought Countdown was actually just soooooo boring. Somehow I liked Youthanasia though, not really a thrash metal sound, but some of the songs just sound nice. Also, yeah Endgame was actually sick af def one of my favorites along with PSBWB and RIP
Loved you video. First-time watcher. I would agree with most of your assessment, I would maybe push 1 or 2 up and 1 or 2, but I think overall, you nailed it. Great to see Megadethback on form.... cheers.
Respect your opinion and agree with a lot of it (I love Youthanasia though), but I just listened to most of The Sick, The Dying...And the Death! And it seems to me like a really strong album with no filler. All of the songs are pretty thrashy and the song structures very good too. It's like a more mature take on Rust in Peace and definitely stronger than any of the recent albums. I just can't see why you'd Dystopia put higher than it, but again, it's my opinion.
@@Emcfree2084 nah, kill em all is a legendary album, but killing is my business is just insanely heavier and riffs are different from everything else at that time
So Far, So Good has always been my favorite. It was also the first I heard by them, but even when I listen to it now it still holds up. Set the World Afire and Hook in Mouth will always be two of my favorite songs by them.
I was wondering what was going on with the dislikes on this one and then I saw your Youthanasia placement. Yikes. Some of Marty's best work on this one and probably Dave's best vocals along with Cryptic Writings. And you thought your countdown placement was going to be controversial. I still respect you throwing your opinion out there. I also think Risk gets shit on way more than it should. S: Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying?, Rust in Peace, Endgame, Youthanasia A: The System Has Failed, Killing is My Business, Cryptic Writings B: The Sick The Dying… and The Dead!, Dystopia C+: United Abominations, Countdown to Extinction, So Far So Good… So What! C: The rest Super Collider tier: Super Collider Most of their discography is hit or miss, but the only album I would actively change if it started playing is Super Collider.
Countdown and So far are A/B for me. Killing and Peace should be S, just behind Rust. Risk needs to be Z category..I don't even consider it a 'Deth album. System is definitely a B+ , Endgame and The Sick are A for me. Dystopia is a B for me, maybe even a C.
The last few albums have been suprisingly good, dystopia kindof blew my mind considering daves afe and so on. He puts out what he wants to put outand i respect that, evenif its risk lol.

My top 5... 5. Rust In Peace 4. Hidden Treasures (not a studio album but has some amazing stuff off soundtracks) 3. Peace Sells...But Who's Buying? 2. Cryptic Writings 1. Countdown To Extinction I would also put United Abominations and Endgame up there.
Partly agree, but some albums I'd rank much higher or much lower: S: Rust In Peace A: Killing Is My Business... (The Final Kill version), Peace Sells..., So Far So Good..., B: Dystopia, Countdown To Extinction, The Sick, The Dying..., Endgame C: Th1rte3n, The System Has Failed, Youthanasia, United Abominations D: Cryptic Writings, Risk F: The World Needs A Hero, Super Collider Although I have to admit, that I haven't listened to the albums in the D-tier (and partly even C-tier) section and below a lot, but the will to give them intensified listens is not that strong...
I always think that the main problem with SFSGSW is be the middle brother between Peace Sells and RIP, not a masterpiece but definitely not a bad album, Hook in mouth, i m darkest hour and Mary Jane are in my top deth' songs
1. Endgame 2. So far, so good... So what? 3. Peace Sells 4. United Abominations 5. Rust in Peace 6. Killing is my business 7. Cryptic Writings 8. Risk 9. Youthanasia 10. The sick, the dying and the dead 11. Dystopia 12. Countdown to extinction 13. The system has failed 14. The world needs a hero 15. Th1rte3n 16. Super Collider
So Far, So Good, So What is highly underrated IMO. I think it gets overlooked because the it's sandwiched between the two classics of Peace Sells and Rust in Peace.
To rank countdown and risk in the same category you have to be mental. To rank risk higher than youthanasia and to not rank the world needs a hero as the lowest album you have to be mental and tweaking on something
I honestly question if you have even listened to these albums all the way through. Please give them another listen. Youthanasia is amazing. If you like Cryptic Writings, you will love Youthanasia. It is their most melodic album. 13 is an excellent album and a bit underrated, same with United Abominations. Risk is the weakest album by a wide margin. Super Collider is not good, but "Forget to Remember" is an amazing track. My ratings: Killing Is My Business - B (solid debut, but I don't find myself listening to it much) Peace Sells - B (Weak overall, but amazing title track) So Far, So Good - B (Weak overall, but In My Darkest Hour is one of the best metal tracks ever) Rust In Peace - A Countdown - A Youthanasia - A Cryptic Writings - A Risk - F The World Needs a Hero - C The System Has Failed - B United Abominations - A Endgame - A Thirteen - B Super Collider - D Dystopia - A The Sick, the Dying..and the Dead - I haven't listened to it enough for a fair opinion. Yes, there are lots of As on this list - but that is because Megadeth is just that consistently good.
Of course I listened to them all the way through. Many of them several times. It’s so unfortunate that when faced with differing opinions people are so quick to assume some sort of “mistake” to rationalize it. Poll a room of 100 people and they will all have different opinions. Lots of people in here love Youthanasia, but there are also many who don’t. Just how it goes 🤷🏻♂️

There were lots of moments and lyrics that made me audibly groan, like Junkie's vocal intro; Dogs of Chernoble's "I'm taken to safety...my skin's looking pasty;" Mission to Mars' "I wanna be an astronaut...I wanna, I wanna" and "Hello ladies;" the "Bring out your dead" part that starts off the album; and the army chants at the end of Soldier On. I feel like I've heard the riffs so many times before. A lot of the sound effects and audio clips don't add much and are out of place, the lyrics made me groan and are quite predictable. The chimes in Sacrifice don't add anything and I didn't care for how Dave held that note for like 15 seconds. The mix during the first ten seconds of Soldier On sounds weak, maybe it's the absence of bass. It was a 6/10 first listen, but now it might be a 7/10.
Exactly the same feeling about the new album! Many riff copies and Kiko's solos are really weak and don't do anything for me! Additionally the lyrics are quite annoying like the I wanna wanna thing. We'll be back is good though but I rate the full album as one of their weaker albums too!

Yeah, this guy take on SFSGSW was bad. The songs were really catchy, songs like Liar, 502, Mary Jane, and In My Darkest Hour are my favorite. Hook In Mouth is great too, a bit lengthy same goes Set The World Afire. Overall it’s A tier for me, I like the Sex Pistols cover too, not sure what he was going on about
@@jt519 My darkest hour is perhaps the perfect megadeth song 🤘
the riffs are good but the drumming is super boring and gets on my nerves, no way it reaches the same level of quality as Peace Sells with Gar Samuelson on it
I feel like Countdown is an S-Tier.
I agree Countdown and Rest in Peace are hands the best.
You ain’t kidding. Dystopia is amazing. It has a whole style to itself
Megadeth are one of the most inconsistent, next to Anthrax
More consistent than Slayer?!?
This man just made a list more controversial than the megadeth vs metalica debate
Well done definitely don't agree with most of the placements but the points you made I can respect
The System Has Failed must be Megadeth's most underrated album
Finally someone says that
+1
I even think it deserves to be in the A tier, together with PSbWB
Kinda strange that Youthanasia is “overrated” but “Cryptic Writings” is underrated. Huh?
I love both but they’re similar to me. Oh well. At least you got Rust right. We can all agree there.
Cryptic Writings is mostly garbage.

It's just a shame majority of the fans aren't open minded like that.
agree
I agree, united abominations would be high up for me personally, probably B tier.
Agreed! United Abominations is a hidden gem in their discography, one of my favorite latter-era Megadeth works.
I'll probably always be a bit salty ellefson got canned for downstroking his bass. It's like, "What? No warning? No second chance?"
It took a long time for United Abominations to grow on me. It's a badass album ! I would like Dave to put some of the songs in the setlist.
As soon as you said "besides the title track, there is a lot of songs on Peace Sells that makes me want to check out" I had to check out!!
Yeah this guy is brain dead
Fr tho lmao the only weak song is I ain’t superstitious but even that isn’t too bad
@@swaggyreyes5116 your right. I ain't superstitious is also a cover song by Howlin Wolf.
@@perpetualmotion357 yeah I agree, it’s a bit of a step down but I like the fact that it keeps with the CTE style which basically means more shit that I like 😂
Countdown is such a great album and I love it, but you can't compare it to rust in peace
List as a longtime fan. Not in order.
S. KIMB. Peace Sells. RIP.
A. Endgame. Dystopia. United Abominations.
B. CtE. Youthanasia. TWNAH. TSHF.
C. SFSGSW. Thirteen.
D. CW.
F. Risk. Super Collider.
I generally rate Megadeth as being more interesting than Metallica.
I don't find the compositions interesting, and Dave's vox is laugh out loud ridiculous. RIP is great, but I don't care how good the guitarists are if it's just riff salad.
That’s an understatement !
Rust is great! You've done a rating every Megadeth album before right?
All facts
@@yoiamhere4737 Indeed I have bud.
I disagree lmao. It definitely is not super spotty.
The first album through to Cryptic Writings are all B+ albums at worst. Risk is a D tier album, then everything else aside from Supercollider is C+.
They are heavily consistent and haven't really made a terrible album aside from Supercollider.
Delusional facts
I strongly disagree with your placement for Youthanasia? I love that album and reach for it often. I would put it at A+ and slide Peace Sells to S tier.
You and a LOT of people lol. I realize mine is the unpopular opinion but I always find that makes for a more interesting conversation

Agreeing with your ranking. There can only be one S and it should be this one. But his last two are worth the A considering the difficulty of producing legit and great material at this point in time.

Youthanasia is shit.

Yes, everyone has his own opinions but seeing Youthanasia below Risk really hurts my soul
You and a lot of people lol
I was the same with countdown, but it grew on me and definitely noticed some songs that were probably made during rust in peace
The first 7 albums and the last 2 are fantastic. Dave’s the king of 80s/90s metal. And what a shredder.
Youthanasia and Countdown should be way up there. They are brilliant pieces.
Agree to disagree
S tier - Peace Sells and Rust
A tier - KIMB, SFSGSW, Dystopia
B tier - Countdown, Youthanasia, Cryptic Writings, System
And then everything else.
4:10 yes! Thank you. Finally someone says it. Now let's get back to the topic of Megadeth.
My Megadeth top 5:
1. Rust In Peace
2. Cryptic Writings
3. Peace sells
4. Countdown
5. Youthanasia
I can't believe you have Killing is my Business as an "A" tier. I can't even listen to that album anymore, it's so bad!

A tier - Killing is my Business and Business is Good, Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?, Countdown to Extinction, The System Has Failed, The Sick, The Dying, And The Dead!
B tier - Youthanasia, Cryptic Writings, The World Needs a Hero, Thirteen
C tier - So Far So Good... So What?, Hiden Treasures

Risk above Youthanasia ??????

I really like 13. It has an addictiveness to it. And I liked the art too. The album just came on a right time. Saw it in a store and bought it and loved it. Made me feel young again. Listened to it for 2months in my car.
The System Has Failed is one of my favorites. I remember listening to it on repeat as a kid while playing San Andreas when tired of Radio X. It's maybe a little too polished for thrash, but it's really enjoyable, really solid album.
It was the return to form
Dave and Chris uniting was a thing of beauty
It also has one of the most bad ass covers ever with DC burning and Dubya Bush in line.
Love it a lot. Truth be told

The only three Megadeth albums I like are Peace Sells, So Far, So Good and Rust In Peace.
It's all subjective for sure. Anyone who claims otherwise is lying.
very good review. i agree with almost everything you say. the only album i would rank higher is "the world needs a hero". i think it has a good consistent thrashy sound the whole way through, except the song with (cannor remember the title) the symphony , see you in heaven or something like that. also "the system has failed" one of the best albums megadeth produced, nothing like rust in peace, but it's up there. esspecially when you consider the other albums released aroun that time. thanks for your thoughts. hope to hear more from you. esspecially abouth megadeth. my favorite.
I'm really not a huge Megadeth fan, but Peace Sells will probably always be my #1. Hooked by the artwork, and the tracks are tight. 👍
A year late, but I want to give a few thoughts:
- I understand why you're not that big a fan of Youthanasia.
Dystopia is the only album I have heard that can Edge RIP...I'd give it an A-.Haven't heard all of the new one yet.
IMO the new one is more fun.
Hey - I remember in another video you mentioned you have worked in mental health -that is awesome. Thank you for doing that .
I do what I can
I thought Countdown was actually just soooooo boring. Somehow I liked Youthanasia though, not really a thrash metal sound, but some of the songs just sound nice. Also, yeah Endgame was actually sick af def one of my favorites along with PSBWB and RIP

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. Plenty more of these where that came from.
I strongly disagree about Countdown and Youthanasia. And I don't know how you figure that Dave ripped off Metallica for the Symphony riff.
Just saying they sound similar 🤷🏻♂️
@@MetalTrenches Which Metallica song? If you said it, I missed it. You're just saying that a metal riff sounds like Metallica in general??
Respect your opinion and agree with a lot of it (I love Youthanasia though), but I just listened to most of The Sick, The Dying...And the Death! And it seems to me like a really strong album with no filler. All of the songs are pretty thrashy and the song structures very good too. It's like a more mature take on Rust in Peace and definitely stronger than any of the recent albums. I just can't see why you'd Dystopia put higher than it, but again, it's my opinion.

To rank countdown and risk in the same category you have to be mental. To rank risk higher than youthanasia and to not rank the world needs a hero as the lowest album you have to be mental and tweaking on something
I do enjoy watching people cry over something that matters so little though
I honestly question if you have even listened to these albums all the way through. Please give them another listen. Youthanasia is amazing. If you like Cryptic Writings, you will love Youthanasia. It is their most melodic album. 13 is an excellent album and a bit underrated, same with United Abominations. Risk is the weakest album by a wide margin. Yes, there are lots of As on this list - but that is because Megadeth is just that consistently good.
Of course I listened to them all the way through. Many of them several times. It’s so unfortunate that when faced with differing opinions people are so quick to assume some sort of “mistake” to rationalize it. C: Th1rt3en, Dystopia, The Sick the Dying

Their new album didn't click the first listen, but it's growing on me.
Bro stf your ass up Kiko is great
