The G3 mags really made this video all the better for me
I like that you where in the know!
Good job. I like this one.
Thank you! I am doing a video on making a quenching tank right now. Would you mind if I gave you credit for the preheating chain idea in the video?
Fantastic effort awesome result... SIR Gee
Brother, you will have more subscribers, very beautiful。
Thank you sir!
Sooooo Awesome!!!!
Thank you!
Holy crap, that looks so badass
Thank you! It certainly was an awesome build
Brother those scales are off the hook. This is without a doubt the most amazing chopper I've ever seen. Beautiful
Thanks man, this particular Choppers going to go ahead and live out its life in the hands of a mountain guide cutting off elk shoulders
@@Aleeknives It should be great for that purpose.
A apocalyptic tool. Great build man
I thought so also! Thanks for watching!
Nice.
Thank you Robert!
I missed this one somehow, dude I love the way you did that plunge line! It's awesome looking!
Thank you! This was a beast man!
Another fantastic video Airin.
🙏👊🙏
Damn nice work AL
Thanks Ryan!
Very nice Chopper, looks easy on the hands with ergonomically sweep on the scales and frame.
It was a really well balanced cleaver! Sad to see that one go but it did go to a really cool mountain guide that has plans to use it to take apart elk in the field!
@@Aleeknives she'll serve him or her well for lifetimes...
I dig it a lot!
Nice handle design!
Subbed
Thanks man! I checked out your channel also, cool stuff man! Look forward to seeing your new stuff. How did the railroad spike file guide work in the long run?
Thanks man!
The file guide is working ok, definitely good enough for a while, but not going to last for long, better to use some high carbon steel for that.
That's wonderful, nice, cool, splendid....^^
Thank you for commenting! Have a great day!
@@Aleeknives Please watch my video too... It's an 'artistic son'.^^
@@artisticson2275 awesome I just found your channel and subbed. Can't wait till I get off work tonight so I can watch some of your vids!
Very nice knife good job 👍
Well thank you! Good day to you sir!
Just, wow...
😜😜🔥🔥💥🔥🔥
Nice, looks like quality knife making skills and quality editing skills. Cheers 4 sharing sir.
Thank you! Lots more to come! I have never touched a camera before so this is a learning experience and I am just getting started! Thanks for watching👍✌🔥
@@Aleeknives in that case your killin it
@@JustTex Are you enjoying any of my new stuff? I think the 300 sword videos came out great! Let me know, thanks. Cheers
@@Aleeknives Honestly i haven't seen that one but i did watch your welding table one and it seemed cool, Cheers
Sweet!
Genial, es la idea que tengo de mi cuchillo ideal.
Отлично получилось
Awesome!
Thank you! I appreciate the compliment!
Just found your channel, via an ad above my recommendations on an Alex Steele video, and while only time will tell if I decide to hang around, I almost clicked away when you began by using regular bar stock, I decided to give it some time. I loved the music in the first half of the video, although it was a bit to loud, and IMO shouldn't be any louder than your voice is in sections that you were speaking in.
All that being said, the finished cleaver looked awesome, can't wait to see some of your other videos, which I'm off to check out right now.
Thanks John, I am glad you watched one of my videos! I do forge blades also, in fact I am forging the Spartan sword from the movie 300 for my next video! I definitely have my own style which I have fallen into with my video editing that I plan to stick with and fine tune. Thank you for the comment sir!
Hey John, Have you seen my 300 sword build videos yet? I am gearing up for two 10 part knife build series, one on stock removal and the other on forging! Hopefully you chose to stick around! Cheers
Ok
AAAAAmazing ! just one question, how can you get a blade with such black gradation ? it is when you only put a part of the blade in the oil at 1.23 ? and then you need to sink the blale in a liquid? what is this liquid? thank's !!
You are right on the money! It is the way I quench and then acid etching that shows the quench line
What kind steel do you use for this knife sir?
This one was 1084
Keren hbs
Quick question. When I do my ferric chloride finish, it comes out blotchy. I sand to 2000 grit. And then dip it. Any suggestions to make it more even?
Sure, dip it for 20-30 seconds then buff it with 0000 steel wool and repeat 10 times or until you achieve the desired finish
Very good mate
Whats the dimension?
Good question! I didn't measure it😄
@@Aleeknives ya..ya..ya...I know,
Sory for that
What was the rpm of bit when you milled spine. Pls answer
Good question, I reference a machinist handbook for speeds and feeds. Real handy little book for HSS bits. My book is a little to old for carbide tooling which runs at different speeds. But basically the smaller the bit the faster the faster you run it. On a mill you have two different things to take into consideration. The speed of the end mill and also the feed rate. I generally test a peice of scrap steel before hand and dial it in. I don't know the actual rpm that I was running when I made this peice.
@@Aleeknives First, thanks for your quick response. Second can you pls refer the handbook.
Really nice videos.

I want it, how can I get it?

A little suggestion if you don't mind... You are starting the video with an outro instead of an intro. People have a short attention span, so basically you are telling them it's ok to leave before they start watching. Maybe start with something like "Hello(welcome, how's it going), if you are new here sub... here is what we got for today" something along that lines... Something to bring them in, instead of I'm finished you can leave, hope that makes sense. Nice build by the way
It makes perfect sense. I tried something different on this video with putting that in front to try to push subscribers. Your advice is spot on! Will do Dave, thank you
@@Aleeknives Yeah a lot of times I forget to shoot intro & have to show the finished knife, it's almost like after you greet someone, it doesn't matter what you say. Some guys are even like "oh hey, didn't see you there" or "what's going on" just that little bit to bring people in.
hello I am surprised, how can I contact with you?
My Instagram account, Facebook, and email links are on my info page! Thanks for watching my videos!
What type of wood was that
Hey Robert thank you for watching my channel! I used Stabilized tiger maple on this knife. The darker maple I dyed black before I stabilized it in resin. I also tinted the epoxy black that I used to glue it together and fill the holes I drilled down the spine of the handle. Thanks again for watching! Hopefully you stick around and watch some more builds. Cheers
Do you sell these?
I do, I sell them locally and I never male the same blade twice
@@Aleeknives what did you sell the war cleaver for?
Hello! I want to buy this knife. How I can contact with you?
Thank you! I Appreciate that your interested in my work! Unfortunately I don't have this knife to sell anymore. I rarely make the same knife twice. I do have an etsy store but do not have anything for sale currently.
@@Aleeknives Aww man... I wanted this knife too! It's amazing!
Thank you!
do you sell it?
I did sell it. All of my knives are one of a kind.
