Can you run the fan mode without the hose running outside? Or should the hose always be connected. Mine got ruptured and now I have to wait till my replacement comes in 😢 k thx

hmm it doesnt expalin anything about the clear drain tube.
There is 2 drain ports on the unit. does the clear drain tube just loop from the two drain plugs on the unit ?

Yeh I just got mine and it’s definitely on the loud side? When it shuts down it shakes with an odd forced stop sound ? Then when it kicks in it buzzes the whole room with a bass type power sound? And the fan itself is aswell bothersome? Seems to cool ok but its noises are annoying for its price! Back to the store I’m thinking?

I friggin knew it? As soon as they portrayed the warranty to me I instantly had a bad feeling with when I may need to replace it, I would have to deal with two entities? The think makes all sorts of different noises that I expect to never deal with that I totally see your point! Unreal
There was little for instructions and I don't know how to set it so it stays on.
The PDF manual has no amps/watts/power consumption. What does model NS-AC8PWH5-C draw for power? I should not have to ask for standard basic info like this.
i just bought one i think if your talking the 14000 btu unit its 1800 watts

How often do you have to drain it? It looks like the drain is by the floor - is it difficult to drain?

When it's running it makes a buzzing sound for about 10 seconds, then it's quiet for about 10 seconds, over and over. Anyone else hearing this or should I be returning this thing

I ended up exchanging mine and the new one sounds exactly the same, so I guess the loud buzzing is a feature
On June 26, 2022, I bought an Insignia Portable Air Conditioner - 12000 BTU. Unfortunately, the unit is no longer cooling effectively.
Given that I have used the air conditioner fewer than ten times, I find this lack of durability and performance unacceptable. The product's quality is disappointing, and I expected better from a brand like Insignia and a retailer like Best Buy.
I am also extremely frustrated with the level of customer service I have received. Despite several attempts to resolve this issue through your customer service center, I have found the process to be inefficient and unhelpful. Both Best Buy and Insignia call centers seem to pass the responsibility to each other, which has only added to my frustration.
Additionally, the fact that the product only comes with a one-year warranty feels like a scam, as it appears the product is designed to fail shortly after the warranty period ends. This has left me feeling deceived and let down by both Best Buy and Insignia.

Me too. Can’t be serviced either. These guys are junk, landfill bound unfortunately
