      E5 is the error code that the unit needs to be drained. There is too much water in the unit. In my unit, I point out where you can drain the unit. Once you drain the unit, it should go back to its normal working order. Hope I was able to help and thank you for watching.

    • @HandymanLand
      @HandymanLand  3 месяца назад

      @flyintl007 If you're only using the dehumidifier mode. There is no need for exhaust pipe. The exhaust pipe is only for AC. If you have a drain in the basement, then you can use the rubber holes they provide. This way, you can run the dehumidifier and not need to empty the unit when full. Thanks for watching.

    • @HandymanLand
      @HandymanLand  4 месяца назад +2

      As of now , I haven't had any issues. I've haven't plugged it in this year, but that's my goal next week. With the proper gages and hoses.Yes you can replace the coolant. But you will have to check the pressure first in the unit. Before doing anything else, if it doesn't hold pressure, then you have a bad o-ring of some sort. But if the unit isn't that old, then you shouldn't need to put coolant. Might be another issue. I had a unit that was over 15 years old and was still doing its job. Never needed any maintenance. Other than keeping the screen clean. I gave it up because it wasn't energy efficient. Thanks for watching.

      Good question, I did not see that in the manual. I will have to go back and check the manual on that. But I don't see why It would need to be plugged in for 24 hours. It is a portable unit. Mine started shutting down after only 2 months of use. E4 error code. Filters are clean. Drained all water though it never produces much. I can get it to cool if I start it in fan only or dry only for about 15 minutes and then switch to cool. I can hear the compressor turn back on. When shut off I hear something like plastic or ice falling. I fear it could have a coil leak or an electrical issue. There is no fix for that. Repair would cost as much as a new one. I may put in a warranty claim.

    E4 error code. Only slightly warm, not very warm, out the exhaust hose, unlike my 5 year old 5,000 btu Hisense which still works great at removing hot air from the room. All filters clean, water drained. Measured temp out the front vent is 68. Hisense blows 51 into the room. Only reason I got the SereneLife is it is 12,000 btu, but the little Hisense walks all over this giant paperweight. I'm only a few months into a 1 year warranty. I hope they don't force me to pay to ship this heavy unit back.

I just bought the Serenelife SLPAC10 and whenever it reaches the desires temperature, the compressor kicks off and the fan stays on, BUT after a couple of minutes, the fan also turns off until the temperature goes up again, then the unit turns on again.
      This drives me crazy because the difference in sound wakes me up! It is so annoying and there doesn't seem to be a way to disable this. My previous hisense portable a/c did the same thing whereas all the other a/cs I've owned would always keep the fan on...

    After watching your great video, we ended up purchasing the SereneLife SLPAC14 A/C. First of all, we purchase this brand because of what we thought would be GREAT FEATURES! Not so!! #1, The panel did not have a latch for ease of connection, but a toggle bolt. #2, the hose was separated by the connectors and the hose “KEEPS FALLING: OFF” when we move the unit.. even after I PLACED DUCT TAPE over it…#3. I called Customer Service on 06/25 and explained my great disappointment to them. I finally got an email with ticket number on 7/5 asking for more info and address. #4 Never received a confirmation on the status of shipment. #5. 7/15, I had to call Customer Service to Parts #.
