It'll cool better at night the sun will not be beaming on the roof, and it cools down easier. I live in Florida, where we have humidity and that ac cools my room nice day and night.
Most other video review did not provide an honest or realistic opinion on how well the portable AC works; however, yours is one of few that have info I can use before I make a purchase, thank you!

I've had one now going on my 3rd spring. Our AC just doesn't push the cold air upstairs to the master bedroom and my stepson room. And i cant sleep if im hot. Being in Michigan I only need it from April to early September. At night that thing can get the room so cold we need a extra blanket. Probably could hang a side of beef. I love that thing. Best $400 I ever spent. My portable ac doesn't collect water. It evaporate any moisture and sends it back out the vent sleeve.

me too. especially a crappy ac like midea. i get afraid it will somehow just break everytime i hear the buzz noise. too aftaid it somehow exhaust itself and just die
I just bought this exact one because I have back issues and lifting the window units is becoming to much for me. My son carried it in the bedroom which is about 10 x 11 and it's not crazy cold but keeps my toddler sons comfortable. I left it at 62 with our summer temps in mass rn of 90s for next 5-7 days. It is a little loud but not obnoxious.
Ours is in a 20x20 room and keeps it cool. We set it at 72-74 & it keeps it at temp. We've been running around 85-90 outside temps with extreme humidity and its still doing well.
President Obama here! I thank GOD For your video. It helped me to be able to install a Magnavox portable AC unit and your instructions helped immensely. You are an invaluable source of information and if I only checked the instructions alone I would have failed miserably. Thank you for your existence on Earth!
So guess what… I commented 11 months ago about my compressor going out. Now my unit is out again and thank goodness 😅 I kept these. I have a third one I have to set up and I couldn’t remember one step so I’m back here to look at it. Again I’m so glad you did this video!!!
It does hum and kicks on and off as it hits temp or falls below. We sleep just fine with it but that said I dont like really quiet. I sleep with a fan in for tge noise.
I put mine up on a table and made a hole in the plastic window thing for the tube to go out - now the water drains outside. Bucket filled up too fast with water here in Texas.
Yes you need a hose on the bottom fir condensation to drain. In the 2+ years we've had it though we've only ever had a few drops. Our window a/c create much more water than the portable one.
Well i started following but then i realized the foam is supposed to go on the inside of the window not the outside and the unit itself holds the water. You just have to drain it when it gets full. Now i gotta scrap foam off my window and ac unit
Hi Ty for this video, plz can you clarify that hose, it attaches to the bottom of the unit or the upper with the screw on lid , other portables seem to have it on the upper but yours seems lower , would appreciate the help..ty
I put a giant crockpot behind mine and it filled up more than 3 gallons of water overnight. I got it set to 62 degrees but it didn't cool the area even though I feel cold air coming out. The area is only about 3 feet by 6 feet. It's a little closed off insulated area by my back door that I also bought a storm door with a pet entry. I bought it for my dog. I'm stumped as to why it's not cooling. Lately the temps been over 100 everyday with heat index up to 115.
Thanks for this. I set it up. I find the air coming out is cool not cold. After running it for 15 minutes it’s the same. I have it at the lowest setting. I had another brand Panasonic and the air coming out of it was cold.. I could hear the compressor working. So far on this unit I just hear a noisy fan and not the compressor.

Use pipe insulation on the exhaust pipe. It generates a fair amount of heat back into the room and the insulation will help it to all make it outside.
