    Kevin durant is the Vegeta to Lebron' s Goku. Durant will always be good and be considered a rival, but LeBron will always be one step ahead.

    Am I the only one who thinks that a Magic Johnson-Lebron James comparison makes more sense than Michael Jordan-Lebron James comparison? LeBron doesn't even play like Jordan. He plays more like Magic. So I always thought that comparison was stupid

      Ghettollama Fire always thought LeBron was like a Scottie magic hybrid

    • @AnujanNakk
      @AnujanNakk 7 лет назад +31

      Ghettollama Fire totally agree. Kobe vs Jordan is a better comparison

    • @nickh4676
      @nickh4676 7 лет назад +9

      Ghettollama Fire the general idea was output, not who was the better scorer. Lebron generates far more than MJ, but despite Lebrons historic performances, he tends to falter in the last 5 minutes. I wanted to believe Lebron could be greater, for I believed he was better and could possibly beat KD and his Warriors. Not only is Lebron not greater for he's now 3-5, but I don't believe Lebron is better anymore. He can dazzle me for 40 minutes a game, but in the last minutes, Lebrons more likely to brick a shot, a layup, or pass to others, than he is in pulling out a clutch block or an occasional score. They say between Lebron and MJ, in a draft, who would you choose? I used to choose Lebron for him taking us close t the end consistently. I'll now take MJ since Lebrons unreliable if it's a close game, and all finals games are basically close.

      think the comparison was more along the lines of being a global icon, and being the superior player of this era, not really playing styles

    this is Kevin Durant's 2nd NBA Finals, his 1st in 5 years. LeBron has carried teams to the Finals since Daniel "Boobie" Gibson was a starting SG. Kevin Durant is a great scorer and nothing more. LeBron scores, is an amazing passer, has an IQ that goes unnoticed to most, is 6'10/6'11 (if you've seen him up close) that can guard every position, plays passing lanes like a god, has perfected the 'Chasedown Block', averaged a triple double with a 56 FG% against the most stacked team in NBA history, and got robbed of a Finals MVP 2 years ago even though his team lost... WHAT RIVALRY?
    Congrats to the Warriors and all that but if you think KD or anyone in the NBA is anywhere near LeBron you don't know basketball.

      The Trilluminati closer than u think
      KD a better shot blocker(even taking into account Lebrons chasedowns),underrated defender with his length he can discourage and even stop people like KLove and Lebron at times discouraged him from trying to attack him(as you would have seen if you watched the games, not saying he strapped him, cus it's Lebron no one can do that) more clutch doesn't defer to anybody in the clutch, and underrated passer

    I still get a kick of how Melo's name gets thrown into conversations, like he's a good thing to add to your team.
    Way back when, Melo made his decision. He chose $$$ over going to a better team. He's reminded every day of that choice, every time he laces up for the Knicks. Yeah he's set for life, money-wise. That was a crappy NBA career though.

    It's not KD's job/responsibility/obligation to make the league more "competitive." He had an opportunity in front of him to get the things he wants in life, and that's what EVERY MAN should do. When you pass on opportunities because of the wrong reasons (e.g., peer pressure, public opinion, etc.), then you're giving away the limited amount of power/control you have to direct your life where you want it to go. In other words, you lose in the game of life.

      Super team in Lebrons eyes is a team that doesnt need you, a team thats so good that they could win without you. When Lebron james a 32 year old man plays the most minutes per game in the league and has the highest plus minus in the entire league.....even more than the so called MVP candidates Harden and Westbrook shows you how much more Lebrons team needs him for success. Lebron is the "superteam" himself, he has never been on a super team in that sense. Before this year I would have said yea sure lebrons Heat and Recent Cavs are super teams however after what GSW did, the criteria completly changed for what a super team really is, they changed the game and turned it into an arms race.

    • @nets4life377
      @nets4life377 7 лет назад +1

      Larry Brown does it make a difference? Let's say KD won 5 rings. Does it make a difference? no because every year he's always gonna be the favored team. LeBron was the underdog 6 out of 8 times in the finals. And KD will always be the favored team to win. It's not impressive.

    • @larrybrown2774
      @larrybrown2774 7 лет назад

      Nets 4life The question was if they are the new magic and bird. Magic and Bird had history of playing in college and being rivals. then it spilled over to the NBA and the teams they were drafted to. if they continue to go to finals consecutively, maybe. But let Magic and Bird be them. If KD and LBJ turns into a rival let it be just them.

I'd rather stay in Boston and let him stay in L.A. and just compete every year in the Finals. That's what made me a better player. It would've been too easy if we played together."

    There is no way if I was Cleveland, I'm trading a 25 year old Kyrie Irving who has been to the highest stage & performed, has been learning from possibly the 2nd best player ever for three straight years & is literally entering his prime for a 32 year old (elite pure pg) but is clearly going to only decline. Idc if Lebron demanded the trade it would be time to cutt ties with Lebron. That's just not a smart future decision.

    no, we already KNOW it's not... as many comparisons as you could make, there are more differences. Larry and Bird were both rivals and contenders for the championship immediately after entering the league, and they were the two best teams every year for a good 8 years or so...KD and Lebron have gone against eachother before, and thjs was a great matchup, but they're not a Larry/Magic rivalry.

      MrDoggyDogg Remember... The 2014 Spurs beat the Miami Heat, The 2016-2017 Spurs have a better team... but the 2016-2017 Warriors are better too.

    In what world would you give up Kyrie for a Chris Paul? Is it 2009?

    I think Stephen Curry and LeBron James is best rivalry like Magic Johnson and Larry bird, Because Magic and Steph both of them are PG and play in the west and LeBron and Larry both are SF and play in the east. It's really suitable.

    They need a low post scorer. That's what Cleveland needs, I think they should try and find someone who can actually bully in the paint.

    If KD leads the GSW to a three-peat with 3 Finals MVPs, and maintains 1.000 in the finals with GSW?He could surpass Lebron

    If im Cleveland i sign CP and sign Paul George. I trade Love for Blake griffin. So now i have Cp pg, Kyrie sg, PGeorge sf, Lebron Pf and Blake at the 5. I go Showtime Lakers with this group and let them score 125+ ppg.

    Part of what made the Magic-Bird rivalry was that those two played for the Celtics and Fakers who were the biggest rivals in the league.Magic and Bird were renewing a rivalry that startes in the late 50s.The Cavs and the Warriors are nowhere near the rivals my celtics and the lakers are.KD and Lebron would have to meet in the finals at least 3 times in the finals in order to be considered at the level of the bird and magic rivalry.

    I think they need to have a true debate on who is better KD or Kawhi. I would right now take Kawhi and he still has years because he is 29

    Dirk is a LEGIT 7 foot and Dirk is BARELY taller than Durant. Durant doesn't have an upright posture, which makes him look slightly shorter than he actually is.
