You could rank best final girls in movies, rank Japanese horror movies or Korean horror movies or any European horror movie!! I’d love that because I love foreign movies and would love to discover more
Absolutely roasting Oren Peli’s house is my favourite part of this video 😂 (paranormal activity was filmed in the directors house, for those who didn’t know)
Wow, I'd put the Kriticos House as 5-Star Resort because it's so unique compared to anything I've ever seen! I just find it so fascinating, especially the interior walls & set up.
I don't know how you feel about them, but I would love to see your ranking of paranormal TV shows like Ghost Adventures (I can't stand Zak), Kindred Spirits, Destination Fear, etc.
Loved this idea of ranking haunted houses. I feel the same way about the Winchester house. Maybe because I love houses with quirky and unique features.
If ever in the mood for 80s horror, see The Changling. It’s the scariest haunted house movie I’ve ever seen and this is my favorite genre so I’ve seen lots of them. BTW, Amytibille house is occupied and the current owners changed the look because of all the lookie loos driving by.
in 1408, the film, they chose that hotel because it strongly resembles The Cecil in LA's skid row district, where Elisa Lam inexplicably, (unless you're a dismisser), ended up in the rooftop water tower and where a couple serial killers spent some time. DARK WATER has a similar vibe and it excellent in both its Japanese and its American versions.
Sidenote, the real Amityville house is still standing and was purchased by a new owner in 2021. The house is stated to have been remodeled in a couple quick articles I found where now it doesn't have some of the same exterior features shown in many film portrayals.
How about the house in “don’t be afraid of the dark” or the mansion in “Rose Red”? Loved them both, beautiful houses, but not very nice entities inside 😅💀
So happy you included Allerdale Hall -- a masterpiece of a haunted house. And Danvers Hospital -- I was going to suggest that one but you included it near the end (it's actually luxury apartments, now). Such a wide breadth of material to pull from when it comes to haunted houses so I applaud every one of your choices. Funny thing about the Conjuring house -- the actual real-life house is far scarier than the one we got in the movie. Grimm Life Collective (RUclips) did a walk-through back in October and I got creeped out just watching that. You should check it out. My recommendations are the Poltergeist house. The Evil Dead cabin. The Exorcist house (technically not a haunted house but still creepy as fuck). Balasco House from The Legend of Hell House. The Changeling house. Also, the house from House (1985) is a pretty fantastic haunted house -- probably the most haunted out of them all. Edit: Also, the Yankee Peddler Inn from The Innkeepers. I've had the pleasure of getting up close and personal with that place -- it's not far from where I live.
A tier list idea: Rank the main characters of different horror movies! I think this idea is really cool. Rank them on how likable they are, how quick thinking they were when escaping their horrific situation, and if they defeat whatever danger was trying to kill them. Hopefully I could provide you with a cool idea!
A couple more that came to mind: The Changeling, Burnt Offerings PS - I’ve been to the Winchester house twice. I absolutely love it. But I don’t know how much the tour has changed since I went in the 90s. I’ve heard it’s more closed off than it used to be. GrimCollective did a great video there. You should too. Much like you, I haven’t seen the movie cuz I heard it sucked. Still curious to see it…
It’s not necessarily a bad movie, just don’t expect a full on HORROR. It’s slow and sometimes pretentious but it doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s definitely not for everyone but it’s worth watching just for the house
Haunted houses are one of my favorite genres! I am also obsessed with abandoned/haunted/houses, asylums, etc. I watch a channel called J&M explorations where these two nice people explore abandoned places and I freaking LOVE it. I'd ALSO be game to live in a "haunted" house, or a house with a traumatic history, etc. Atmosphere uber alles!
I haven't' seen some of these because they were foreign or might've seemed cheezy or whatever but Now i'm gonna watch them just to look at the houses from your point of view. FUN!
Poltergeist and The Innocents/Bly Manor would have been perfect to add and rounded up the ranked places nicely to 20 (or 21 I suppose considering Bly and The innocents are fairly different).
How about exorcist 3 too? I totally believe in the paranormal. I've 100% experienced stuff through my 39 yrs sobriety (thanks to aa and still thanking aa for emotional sobriety as well).
@@incognitomcde1360Better that good atmospheric as hell but wouldn't call it a haunted house movie. Burnt Offerings wld be my number 1 Seems after the 70s every decade got less scary than the next and so on .. wish I ws alive then to see some of the classics on the big screen that would be awesome 😍
I know they had to be haunted houses but my God, Stu Macher's house from Scream would've definitely been in the 5 Star Hotel tier for me. IT'S SO GORGEOUS!
The house in A Tale of Two Sisters (2003) is really beautiful too! You should totally give it a watch if you've never seen it, it's got plenty of haunted house goodness
this was great! might've been asked already but where would you put the house from hereditary? Technically not a haunted house but I think the setting is pretty crucial (especially w the treehouse) and the whole omniscient vibe with the family themes and the miniatures makes it feel a lot like a haunted house movie
Winchester (2018) was a really beautiful film, and while it was boring and un-eventful most of the time I would love to see you check it out Sarah, I think you may like it! It’s kind of artsy but doesn’t take itself TOO seriously. Great video! It’s also a very beautiful house I would love to go there sometime.
my favorite part of this is that danvers state hospital is actually demolished 😂 also it’s very well known that it’s actually haunted. my uncle worked there and they had closed off the entire 3rd story right wing because everyone refused to work there. example: they had cut off all electricity to that wing and the lights would still flicker. and doors would open and slam shut so loud it could be heard in different wings. again, no one was allowed in that wing.
I would love to see a video from you if you going to the Winchester House! I got so close to being able to go on a tour but the tickets were more expensive than we thought so we just walked around the gift shop and the outside. From what I saw it was beautiful!
Hi Sarah! I was wondering if you could make a video about fast-paced horror movies (maybe your top 10?) cause sometimes I just want to sit and get right into the horror. I would love to know your recommendations, and I really love your channel 💕💕💕
Love this list, so happy you included the Abaddon Hotel, one of my favourite franchise. I know its not a house/hotel but I was hoping you were going to include the mental asylum from grave encounters!
I need a horror comedy about the ghosts in Winchester House. Sarah can do a seance now and again, but it's more about a bunch of Union soldiers or something who hang out there.
I feel the same way about 1408 that you feel about Gonjiam Haunted Asylum. Idk why man, but 1408 seriously freaks me out way too much. Even now at 27 😂😂😂😂
such a cool video idea !! also, I'm so glad I discovered your channel this year, it honestly made a pretty shitty year a little better for me and I just wanted to say thank you for that
I yet have to see the 13 Ghosts movie because I hear and see a LOT about it. Probably next year... Also: there's a documentary coming about the murder cases that "inspired" the Scream movies. It doesn't really look like the murder case itself is anything like the Ghostface murdres in scream and to make matters worse: they are following around a spirit medium who wants to contact the killer...
I live right by the amityville house! There is a family that lives there, there have been some changes and renovations over the years so it doesn’t look like it did back then, but it is still recognizable. I would say they’re pretty much left alone by the public. Some cars drive by, but nobody standing around!
When I lived in New Jersey we drove to the Amityville house. At the time the new owner was doing some renovation and did not want company or people around.
can you do a ranking of different demons, ghosts, villains, killers etc. from horror movies and rate who youd most likely be friends with to mostly like hate eachother type thing, i think thats a funny and interesting thing to think about (:
The Amityville Horror house is still standing. It sold in 2017 for $605,000. Had a chance to see it back in 1990, but my girlfriend at the time chickened out and wouldn't drive there. You would love the house in "The Uninvited", a film from 1944 starring Ray Milland. It has a dramatic clifftop location overlooking the sea and only two ghosts.

You should do a list like this but with horror movie houses and settings (house of a thousand corpses house, Texas chainsaw house, the Friday the thirteenth camp, etc)
Sorry if you have these ideas already but: - slasher films - Stephen king adaptations - female villains - creature features - monster movies - witch movies
15:27 I thought the conjuring house was haunted… like the whole point was the witch cursed the land because someone took it from her or tried to take it & she murdered her children there
3 houses that might be a bit outside what you normally do: 1/ Hell House from The Legend of Hell House (1973) 2/ The original Hill House from The Haunting (1963) 3/ Rose Red, from the miniseries 2002. I think this is a good fictional depiction of Wincester House.
My rankings: 5 star resort: the others, the overlook hotel, the haunting, woman in black, allerdale hall, Winchester house For some money: the orphanage, house on haunted hill, the conjuring, Danvers, amityville If I were a ghost: ju-on, dolphin hotel, haunting of hill house, abaddon hotel Demolish it: paranormal activity, kritticos house, gonjiam
You should definitely visit the Winchester house if you get the chance! They only allowed photos in the area advertising the movie when I went though. It's absolutely beautiful and chaotic
Totally fantastic video of you ranking all the haunting houses in horror movies fantastic job. Do a tier list of horror movies that are based on horror video games.
I love old, historic houses, and when I watch a horror movie I always enjoy seeing the haunted house featured, just for the aesthetics, as horror movies tend to have gorgeous houses (apart from the Amityville House, because personally I'm not into that style.) I've only seen a couple of the Insidious movies, but I remember loving the grandmother's house, as it was this huge old Queen Anne, and the interiors were all painted in different hues of blue. It was a gorgeous home. I agree that the Haunting of Hill House home is a stunner...and the Woman In Black...and The Orphanage...XD
The scene in A House on Haunted Hill when the woman comes across an empty room but looks at her camera and sees ghosts operating on someone has stuck with me ever since I was 11 or 12. I love that movie to this day. My favorite Famke role
I really enjoyed this one - I'm a big ghost story/haunted fan, it's my favorite horror sub-genre. Personally, I really, REALLY enjoy your more esoteric take on the tier categories and pretty much agree with every ranking you've placed here. Thanks for a fun video! 😀
Oooo, the Winchester House is so amazing! I love all the stairways to nowhere and doors to no rooms. It’s so interesting that a woman like this existed. Such an insane concept to me and I can’t believe it actually happened lol. Btw, funny thing, my bro is 6’5 and the lady who owned the house back then was around 4’8 with arthritis and many parts of the house were built specifically for her size and condition (looooong, outward steps when walking down the stairs) so when we walked in stairways and doorways made for her, my bro had to basically crawl in that part of the tour. So if you have someone going with you who’s tallish, they may not have a good time during the tour during this parts 😅 the whole house isn’t built that way though. It’s only so she could get around the house lol. Definitely should try to visit and vlog if you can!
you should add a special section for haunted houses in tv shows, only put the haunted house from murder house in it and call it “DEMOLISH IT AND BURN THE ENTIRE GROUND IT WAS BUILT ON BECAUSE WE’RE SICK AND TIRED OF IT”
You should include the Burnt Offerings house! I used to live in Oakland, CA where the actual house is located. Took my kids there one year for Easter where they had an Easter Egg hunt...😁😁 And The Legend of Hell House. Both of these are some of my fave horrors from the 70's and guaranteed if you haven't seen these already you will love those two estates!! Oh yes...and The Sentinel...all three of these are great!
if you haven't done ranking horror movie cliches like "antagonist disappears when you look back", "final girl falls down in a chase scene" etc. it would be really funny
Please do a ranking of "entertaining horror movies" or something like that. Horror movies that are less serious and more fun. To clarify: I don’t mean trash movies. I’m thinking more of movies like Final Destination (3), Ready or Not, Cabin in the Woods, Happy Deathday. Just like horror movies that have funny moments without being a full-on comedy, and that one can just put on and watch without getting into a deep disturbing story but nevertheless a clever, innovative story.
Rank (in Tier list) • Slasher villains • final girls • should-have-been Final Girls • Ghosts / evil entities • horror movies ranked by their creepiness or gore
The Abbadon Hotel is an actual place located in Lehighton, PA in the pocono mountains! I used to live close by it. Funnily enough, it is now a haunted attraction called the Waldorf Estate of fear! So you can actually go there and live you Hell House LLC dreams!
Winchester, while not a scary movie by any means, absolutely WINS in dark, brooding atmosphere and a heavy sense of grief staining the entire interior of the house. If you’re into heavy atmosphere and are ok with little to no scare factor, highly highly recommend
How would you rank the houses and buildings from AHS? Murder House, Hotel Cortez, Roanoke House, and Camp Redwood? Also it'd be fun to rank famous horror buildings in general! Like Stu's house from Scream-
1st, I really have become a big fan of your content, keep it up. B, as an "Atheist" I dont believe in ghosts, afterlife, religion, etc... however those are my favorite horror genres. go figure. I've watched so much horror however it's difficult to get that tense feeling I used to get as a kid or any legitimate fear. Jump scares are surprises & not a fear felling. Felt a bit of the fear or at least creeped out by Gonjiam & also Terrified believe it or not. Any reqs for "S" tier horror fans struggling to recapture that sense of dread? Hard pressed to find titles I havent already seen.
As soon as I saw the word ‘Gonjiam’ I immediately screamed DEMOLISH. Had you included the asylum from Grave Encounters I’d also say demolish b/c-unlike the stairs to nowhere built by human hands in the Winchester House-the Grave Encounters stairs (and false exits) appear out of nowhere thanks to Friedkin’s desire to trap people using weird occult powers.

Danvers State hospital is now mostly demolished and turned into condominiums. Main building front entrance was kept.
15:27 I thought the conjuring house was haunted… like the whole point was the witch cursed the land because someone took it from her or tried to take it & she murdered her children there
Pleeeaaassseee review The Mothman Prophecies! You’ll love the ambience!!
3 houses that might be a bit outside what you normally do:
1/ Hell House from The Legend of Hell House (1973)
2/ The original Hill House from The Haunting (1963)
3/ Rose Red, from the miniseries 2002. I think this is a good fictional depiction of Wincester House.
My rankings:
5 star resort: the others, the overlook hotel, the haunting, woman in black, allerdale hall, Winchester house
For some money: the orphanage, house on haunted hill, the conjuring, Danvers, amityville
If I were a ghost: ju-on, dolphin hotel, haunting of hill house, abaddon hotel
Demolish it: paranormal activity, kritticos house, gonjiam
You should definitely visit the Winchester house if you get the chance! They only allowed photos in the area advertising the movie when I went though. It's absolutely beautiful and chaotic
Totally fantastic video of you ranking all the haunting houses in horror movies fantastic job. Do a tier list of horror movies that are based on horror video games.
The Amityville House was not demolished, but it's "Eye" like windows were removed and it was repainted to keep tourists from showing up.
Since you included hotels, where would you rank the Hotel Cortez from AHS: Hotel?
And one of the houses in Sinister..
I love old, historic houses, and when I watch a horror movie I always enjoy seeing the haunted house featured, just for the aesthetics, as horror movies tend to have gorgeous houses (apart from the Amityville House, because personally I'm not into that style.)
I've only seen a couple of the Insidious movies, but I remember loving the grandmother's house, as it was this huge old Queen Anne, and the interiors were all painted in different hues of blue.
I love the way you rank things as its incredibly fun and funny!! ❤️
I really enjoyed this one - I'm a big ghost story/haunted fan, it's my favorite horror sub-genre. Personally, I really, REALLY enjoy your more esoteric take on the tier categories and pretty much agree with every ranking you've placed here. Thanks for a fun video! 😀
Nice video, what about the Yankee Peddler Inn from The Innkeepers?
Took my kids there one year for Easter where they had an Easter Egg hunt...😁😁
And The Legend of Hell House. Both of these are some of my fave horrors from the 70's and guaranteed if you haven't seen these already you will love those two estates!! Oh yes...and The Sentinel...all three of these are great!
Crimson peak is at the top of my list
if you haven't done ranking horror movie cliches like "antagonist disappears when you look back", "final girl falls down in a chase scene" etc. it would be really funny
Please do a ranking of "entertaining horror movies" or something like that. Horror movies that are less serious and more fun. To clarify: I don’t mean trash movies. I’m thinking more of movies like Final Destination (3), Ready or Not, Cabin in the Woods, Happy Deathday.
Just like horror movies that have funny moments without being a full-on comedy, and that one can just put on and watch without getting into a deep disturbing story but nevertheless a clever, innovative story.
you should rank the places/locations from american horror story i’d love to see the ones you would stay at!
Rank (in Tier list)
• Slasher villains
• final girls
• should-have-been Final Girls
• Ghosts / evil entities
• horror movies ranked by their creepiness or gore
biggest twist tier list and best epilogue tier list
The Abbadon Hotel is an actual place located in Lehighton, PA in the pocono mountains! I used to live close by it. Funnily enough, it is now a haunted attraction called the Waldorf Estate of fear! So you can actually go there and live you Hell House LLC dreams!
Winchester, while not a scary movie by any means, absolutely WINS in dark, brooding atmosphere and a heavy sense of grief staining the entire interior of the house. If you’re into heavy atmosphere and are ok with little to no scare factor, highly highly recommend
I love the Casper haunted house.
Curious to see where you would rank The Haunted Mansion (2003) on this list! 👻Also… YES PLEASE VLOG THE WINCHESTER HOUSE AT SOME POINT! 🙌🖤
How about Poltergeist? Classic haunted house movie right there. I saw it accidentally when I was 4 or 5. Terrifying!
Totally agree, I love it, one of my favs! 😍
How would you rank the houses and buildings from AHS? Murder House, Hotel Cortez, Roanoke House, and Camp Redwood?
Also it'd be fun to rank famous horror buildings in general! Like Stu's house from Scream-
I think should rank evil children movies and rank evil dark Christmas movies
Great idea for a vid! Fantastic
i love your sweater omg
She says it’s from The Ragged Priest! :) it’s so cool!!!
@@jillianmiller5159 just bought it in their last size lmaoo. so cute
nar
Love the mansion from The Haunting! Sooo amazing. The rooms are wow. And the hidden passages got me. 😁
I am definitely here for your views on architecture hahaha
Im so glad I found this channel
