- Elliana Quiner is a pre-professional ballerina at one of the top ballet programs in the world, American Ballet Theatre’s JKO School in New York City. She takes you backstage at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City at Lincoln Center to be part of the company's new work, Like Water for Chocolate, by Christopher Wheeldon. I actually came from Virginia to the Lincoln Center to watch Elliana dance in the closing show of Like Water For Chocolate!!! It was such an amazing show and so worth coming there! I am a dancer too and it was so inspiring to see American Ballet Theatre perform! Ellie, you did incredible in the show and you are such an amazing dancer!! Thank you for inspiring me so much!

Love seeing how positive and hardworking Daniel was as well as how enjoyable being a part of the show was. It’s funny how a sort little video can make you feel that surreal excitement yet kind of sadness when you find that the shows over and the work you’ve put into the show and community you’ve built around it is something your not coming back to.
This video made me cry! It was so beautifully filmed and Ellie was incredible❤ I really felt the sweetness of this experience for her❤

My studio were not allowed to eat bc they think we will throw up so they have vending machines with drinks and snacks
The ballet looked amazing! What is first and third cast?
Because ballet can be rough on the body (especially for dancers en pointe), when a company is staging several shows over consecutive days, if they're a big enough company they'll have multiple casts (at least in the major roles) who go on stage for different shows. First and third cast just refer to which group of cast members are performing (there'd also be a second cast).
