- Hey guys! I hope you all enjoy a glimpse into my life as a ballerina while training at the American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive. In this video I show some bts of our training and dress rehearsals.

when i did ballet here in Brazil we’d all wear those pink ballet tights that didn’t match our skin color, so it’s so nice to see one that has got the same tone as the skin loll
Pink tights don't match anyone's skin tone, they are made to match the pink shoes and costumes so that dancers are uniform.
@@sarahwales6276why do you think the shoes are pink in the first place? they were supposed to make the dancer look paler and more "elegant" but obviously that won't happen for darker skin tones. So no, they don't match anyone, but they're definitely designed with lighter skin tones in mind and to make those already light girls look whiter.
@@heartboba What ridiculous logic, the stupidity is next level. It's European dance form, the costumes suit the dancers, it was started by white for white people, that's just the facts. Imagine if white people complained about Hiphop styles that suit black people? Ballet is meant to be uniform, they try to achieve this through the costumes.
