I am on holiday second Karoq the first was the 1.5 sse technology ,the second is a 23 reg 1.5 SEL and fourth Skoda model I find the karoq a reliable economical high 40s on a long journey and mid 30s locally. The boot is great,as my wife's electric buggy in plus two cases. More than powerful enough to cruise at70mph on motorways including through the hilly M6 in c CUMBRIA BEST CAR I HAVE driven in 50 plus years driving and 29 years Motabilty ,and there is nothing wrong with the DSG BOX,ALL MY Skodas have DSG 2:37 I and I have found it to be utterly reliable.
You should always have the brake assist light on. Otherwise your hand brake is not automatically engaged when you stop and you have to remember to do it manually. This was bad advice. You also completely neglected to mention the paddle shifters which are part of the DSG gear box. Quite a poor video on the whole.
@@rtds2024 You have no idea what you're talking about. Just go to any forum to see how many dsg boxes break down. Mine died at 50k miles and had a service done at 30k. These are weak gearboxes and have nothing compared to zf8hp or even ecvt. Do you know what WLTP or shiftpoints is? These gearboxes break down because they are too eco- after changing the gear I have 1100rpm which is not healthy for the engine or gearbox. But it has to be eco. So stop saying bulls*it and get some knowledge about it.
@@mostlynothing8130 but you can buy Skoda with warranty. my superb is from 2016 and I still have a few months of extra warranty. a year ago, thanks to the additional warranty, I got a new gearbox. Now I am also looking for another car and I think I will buy a Mazda because they have good engines and a very good automatic gearbox
@@mostlynothing8130 but Kia uses dct gearboxes. Its similar as dsg dq200 (dry clutches). And you still have the dual mass flywheel. For me if the automatic is only hydrokinetic or ecvt.

Good video , however why do dealers and others persist in calling the electric parking brake a handbrake ?
Those cars are so nice to drive on a motorway
nice and smooth driving :-)
What does the down pointer indicates?
The down pointer, toggles between normal drive and sport, this is activated by just pulling back on the gearstick.
When to press that side button on the gearbox actually?
You need to press it to be able to move the stick
Very useful thank you
thanks
Pretty sure this is a kodiaq not karoq

dsg is a very weak gearbox. My dq250 dsg6 stopped working at 50k miles. the repair cost half the value of the car (Skoda superb3)
no, problem is you, you cant drive it
