There's no indication of when it needs to happen and Audi claims it doesn't have to be changed, but most modern gas vehicle intervals are 50 to 100k miles. Not all of the filth in the container was from the inside of the filter but a good amount was so it is worth doing periodically!

Performance wise did it help the car ? Mines is 106k atm
There was a slight difference, but seeing how much filthy gas came out when it was being emptied let me know it was overdue.
