The new Asics Court FF3 is not a big departure from the previous model. The shoes continues to be the standard for those all-court players who want to scramble in all directions and slide into their shots - like Djokovic who apparently helped design this new version. For that, these shoes continue to excel. The mono-sock design again engulfs your foot and the new lacing system does a better job of locking your foot in to the shoe. I thought the shoe felt more breathable than the previous version - so many of the complaints about the last version seem to have been addressed. I was hoping that Asics would improve the cushioning for the rest of us. While on court performance might be excellent, the shoe is quite firm underfoot. The new heel on this version - in particular - has nearly no cushion. After an hour of hitting in this shoe, my feet were throbbing, my knees were sore, and my hips ached. While these shoes might be great for Novak, they are not for everyone. The comfort level is sorely lacking. I guess these shoes were just designed for professional athletes without any joint issues. I was very disappointed.
Thanks for the review. Between the two, which one would you recommend for Padel and Tennis clay court play ? GEL-RESOLUTION 9 CLAY vs COURT FF 3 NOVAK CLAY.
I love the bootie construction on the FF cause I don't like stuff rubbing on the top of my foot. Question does the gel resolution 9 laceing system sit on top of the tongue with the polyurethane acting as somewhat of an exoskeleton like the FF's? Or does the laces & eye-holes sit directly on top of your foot? Thanks
Hey Dylan, quality video! Which pair would you recommend me? I'm 17, very quick and run for most balls but I want a stable shoe as well. I tend to slip when pushing off to run for a short ball with my current shoes. Thanks
Hey! Thank you for the comment, the gel resolution 9’s are more for players who move laterally along the baseline. The Court FF 3’s are the Novak shoes for all court players.
So the COURT FF 3 color way In your review is on Asics site but it says COURT FF 3 OC & has a totally different tread pattern, what does OC stand for? Thanks
very good video , I have a couple questions: 1.- in other review video, they mentioned the FF# Novak model is narrower than the normal model FF3 court which is no named Novak model, like the one you have in the video, is this true? 2,. Does FF3 court is the same size as FF2 court? some time when they change of models with new version you have to go up or down half a size, is this the case? that means if I use FF2 court size 10, I will be also be size 10 on FF3?
Thank you The Novak FF 2 model is the same shape and size as the FF 3 model. They are pretty narrow but a nice snug fit especially with the sock like mesh. I believe they will make the exact same sizes as they did with the previous model. This colour way will be for the Australian Open and more colours to come for the year ahead. Hope this has answered your questions.
@@Tenniswithdylan thank you for your reply, it helps a lot for the size, on 1rst question was more about that FF3 Court Novak are different than FF3 court regulars , as the first one are narrower per Novak request, for what I heard, I just want to know if you could confirm that, as I like the novak color, but if is narrower I will stay with regular version colors
@@ingrafaelcobas I had the same question and did get a official comment from Asics stating there is NO difference between Novak and Non-Novak model, without the Novak signature ‘D’ emblem. :)
Great review, because of it, I will likely go with the Gel 9, I didn’t really enjoy the FF 2 and found it lacking in comfort, I’m also not a fast mover around the court, being above my ideal weight and as an intermediary player
Very soft on both shoes, most supportive shoes to date in my opinion. I have tried many other brands like Adidas & Nike but have been with Asics for the past 4 years. Would highly recommend them!
Do you think the court ff 3 is a bit heavy? I have bought it and it seems a bit heavier than court ff2. But the supporting is far better than court ff2😂

I just bought ff3 but I have broken foot (recovered but always in bad shape) bad knees, bad hip and overweight. I guess if the tennis had something to say would be “what the hell man!!! Why don’t you Go bowling instead!!!I can’t help you out!!”
Great video buddy!🔥
Thanks mate
Thanks for the video! Definitely getting the FF3z. Where in UK is that bubble covered court?
Hope you enjoyed the shoes review. Yes, you will love them!
My tennis club is David Lloyds Finchley
Excellent video. Thank you!
Thank you Michael

Do the Resolution 9s fit true to size???
I had to go down a half size with the previous version 8.
Yes, personally I am size UK9 wearing tennis shoes and they fit true to size. Similar to the Gel Resolution 8’s
How long is your foot?@@Tenniswithdylan
Excellent review, thanks
Thanks for watching!
Gel Res 9's look awesome!
Yes they sure do and feel great too

Directly on top of the foot, they are very comfortable and better than the version before. The plastic is a better mesh too
Any advise about the size? What size do you wear, do you know how long is your foot?

OC stands for Omni-court (OC)
The tennis shoes are suitable for all types of courts, grass, clay and hard
Which has better cushion gel resolution 9 or ff3 since i have knee problem btw im 55yo but love to play tennis thanks
Court ff 3’s
It has a sock like feel
thoughts on the colour way options?
More colour ways in the year ahead

Can i wear gel resolution to play badminton?

Do I need to do half size up on FF 3 if I have slight wider feet?
True to size

Yes they are heavier but are more supportive so it depends on what you are looking for
Great video, I have just gone for the FF3's, hoping that they provide enough stability

How have they been for you?
Great review. 🎉
Thanks man! Which shoe would you like to try out?
