I have run to issues where HP laptops cannot be reset unless, at the last step you demonstrated, you provide a reset code from Microsoft. The code is optained by logging onto a registered micodsoft account. I suppose you've never heard of that?

HP laptops have a BIOS reset to ORIGINAL configuration. On recent PCs this Restores ORIGINAL operating system (windows 11) and kills everything else. UNFOTUNATELY i have forgotten the keys to get there. I HAVE DONE IT IN THE PAST so I know it works. Any help would be appreciated. HP ridiculously says its a "software issue" In any conception of the world BIOS is IN THE HARDWARE and want to charge $50 for support. Any help with the keystrokes would be appreciated. The suggestions above do not do this

I had to turn my computer all the way off and kept messing with the F11 and power button until it worked.

Mine said it couldn't reset because it was missing a partition. Could it be that I am not using the battery it came with and just the power outlet?
You have to make sure your computer is all the way turned off for it to work
