    It would cost the car company 20 bucks to wire in an integrated code reader that just displayed the error code on the dashboard.

      Cars used to display codes through a series of blinking lights on OBD 1. Some Chrysler cars (Jeep/Dodge include) had a feature where they could display error codes where the odometer is

      @rumorhasit407 my 95 Honda is OBD1 and exactly how I get my codes, have a video on the process too

      That's for sure. I've only found 2 aftermarket companies provide a generic lanyard with a couple of different size clips to attach to your vehicle. Still the fit is not the best haha, but beats oem prices
