I went whit the dubble score not to advanced settings just perfect for me. The triple and the legend has to much settings for my brain to handle. Great depth and superb separation and fully water proof unlike my vanquish

As an absolute newbie only interested in beach detecting i want something idiot proof. I just want to turn it on and start finding the goodies. So the score appeals to me. My only concern is i might be missing finds if i use the most simplistic machine.
I would suggest the Double Score. You wont miss stuff. You just need to learn the machine - that shouldn't take too long. The Double Score will allow you to make minor adjustments as you learn. Simplistic does not equate with inferior.

In my neck of the woods I use to get a lot of false readings on my old Bounty from layers of oak leaves ? and the soil has loads of iron, red clay, limestone, shale rock, etc. Which do you think would be better to end false signals?
The Double Score has some adjustments that you can make to mitigate the soil/ground conditions which the SCORE does not. The DOUBLE SCORE is defiitely a major improvement in that Bounty Hunter and doesn't require too many adjustments to get it purring :) If you are someone who enjoys tinkering with settings - the Legend may be for you. Before you decide watch a video on the Legend that Quarter Hoarder did. It showcases the entire menu of settings. Let me know which you decide on and how you make out.
