      This idiot, 9 car Cottrell i'm referring to, wouldn't know the difference between a Renault Range T, Volvo FH16-750, Scania S730 and a Kenworth W900. On Concorde videos he's an ex Concorde pilot/captain, on truck vids a truck driver, train vids he's a train driver, on PA Mining vids he drives a dozer and a mine truck. I see a pattern developing with good ol' 9 car Cottrell. It's called talking bullshit. The best one, though, is on Lockheed C5 Galaxy uploads. He's Captain and Shift Commander LaBonte USAF Patriot Wing. That's an insult and disrespectful to those that serve, or have served in their countries Armed Forces.

    I like that Flag on the front bumper there. That is 1 nice ole rig. Familiar ole sound when you fired her up. Spoke wheels on the rear, makes me wonder if there is a driver (except you of course) or a tire man that knows how to line them up right so they don't wobble when rolling down the road. Oh hell I forgot, drivers don't change flat tires any these days, lol. Great old rig you got there, a real piece of history.

    i'm surprised she starts so easy. I have been around a lot of older car and none of them start that easy from cold after a winter. Of course my experience is with British 1956 coupe that stalls at lights until its engine has been running for 30 minutes (only has 8k miles and a engine rebuild roughly 800 miles ago) and a 1970 Cuda that has 50k miles so. Darstrom, if that logo on the side of the sleeper is accurate, that trucking company is about a 2 hour drive from where i live. I wonder if they would have any history on the truck for you, unless of course you already know its history

    • @Darstrom
      @Darstrom  6 лет назад +2

      LRCVWDude I have tried searching for the company, says it went out of business in the late 80s?
      Not sure if it's put there just for fun or if it's accurate though. If they are still in business they would probably be happy to see this truck wether it's "fake" or not! Only history I know is that it was hauling steel in the northen states up until the mid 80s

    • @LRCVWDude
      @LRCVWDude 6 лет назад +3

      Huh, interesting: when i google the name of that company, records show them still being in business just outside of Berlin, PA, which is in Somerset County. The name is different, Charles T Ludy Jr Trucking, but its the same area: maybe a relative of the C. Ludy on your truck, possibly a son or grandson
      However, if you know for a fact the truck was hauling steel up till about the mid 80's, then its possible it WAS based here in Pennsylvania: we used to be a HUGE steel making state, so it wouldn't surprise me if that truck hauled out of the mills back when they were running non stop.

    How long has it been sitting a month? I call bullshit on the tow strap and the title... you pulled it out then magically starts right up and you just drive off no issues? Usually the battery’s are junk the fuel is old and bags and tires are dry rotted

      It's not a barnfind. It was pulled into the garage ~5 months earlier meaning it's the first start of the season. Fuel and batteries are looked after and taken care of being pre filled and charged.
