Treat that girl right, she's a rare breed, and she can drive with the best of them.
Посмотри внимательно как она руль выкручивала,в начале ролика,да в конце тоже есть момент.научите ее делать это правильно!)))
Swift drivers are shakin in their sneakers. She gon take our jobs!!!
Just think if you had put an automatic in there? She could still out drive half the youngens while talking on the phone and putting on makeup. Hell she could probably do it now.
I couldn’t have said it better dude ❤️👩🚛💪
@@kennethhedden1846 hahaha good one lmao
I started trucking in 1976 and I can tell you, she handled those gears like a pro. Never jamming them in, just letting them slide in. Something like that take years to learn. And to let the wheel go on when going from a turn to a straight line, with those Armstrong Steers, and a Wrist breaker to boot in combination, Perfect.
3-4 days, max..
Mike Bressler maybe 3-4 days in flat states (even that is a stretch for most)
Driving these in the mountains is a whole different animal
Climbing a grade is a learning experience in itself as you need to shift them as fast as possible to not lose your momentum and have to start all over again
But going back down...ooo now that’s the tricky part for sure... You do NOT want to miss a shift (coming down some mountain passes, if you are loaded heavy and you miss a shift you may have just signed your death certificate...)
You coming down a mountain grade in one of these, your asshole WILL take a big ol bite out of that seat!
You have got to be on your game and be very cautious in these old stallions
Just as my dad always told me, you can go down a mountain pass too slow many times, but you can only go down that mountain pass too fast...once... 💀
Most younger drivers out here with the modern equipment don’t realize how easy they have things
Maybe if they watch this girl drive this ol twin stick KW will help them put a few more hairs on their chest lol
@@dragon81heart Yep.., you're right actually about the hill part.. I once had a hell of a time on a grade - Jake brake blew out.. Why.. ?? Because the #4 Rod decided to blow itself through the block.. ! Ghost-Rode that bitch, praying to the good Lord Almighty for 3 full minutes.. once the air left the Chambers, obviously the Bendix wasn't putting more back in... Good times, my Friend..., Good times... 👍
@@2-strokeracer531 nothing like coming down off a strip job on a dozer road loaded, steering with the crook of your arm, grabbing the trolly brake so you can take your foot off the service brake to hold the throttle open to grab a lower gear with two sticks. 👍🇺🇸
Your girlfriend wanted to drive your Kenworth? She's a keeper! And you let her? You're a keeper, too!
I was just going to say..
Clinton Flynn yeah a lot
Of guys wouldn’t
"Armstrong steering" and twin sticks. It doesn't get much better than that!
That's a real woman behind the wheel!!!😁
I say this in the most complimentary way: she has an engineer's sense of machinery. Same for my younger granddaughter. She runs the tractor, the pallet loader, taught herself the backhoe. Her words express it best: "Grandpa, you know what I like best about mowing the pasture? It gives you time to think!"
That was cool, I love seeing women drive nice old trucks, because so few do.
No power steering, twin sticks and a metal dash ahhhhhh the good old days!👍
☆☆☆wow!!! As the daughter of a trucker, I must say you totally rock.
My dad owned a beautiful metallic blue kenworth and a mack truck. Which he taught me how to drive at a very young age. The mack was o.k., but that kenworth......whew!!! What a beautiful machine. Your awesome.
Keep on truckin'.
Peace and love.🚛🚛🚛
A woman that doesn't need a clutch, i think she's a keeper!!
If not put her in a sleeper...
She's easy on the "peeper",So, he definitely needs to "keep her"!!
She's definitely a keeper for sure! Great truck and beautiful sound.
Alex Richardson That truck is a piece of crap. It has all the luxuries of a outhouse.
@@stillwatching3255 Nice outhouse...
Henk Drijfhout Ya take that outhouse on a job. Once you get up the road you will get out and toss some toilet paper on that piece of crap.
@@henkdrijfhout8140 ehh some people are cry babies.... he probably drives a ultra shift lol
No power steering and a twin stick! Girl, you rock Most kids your age would be crybabies!!
LK LK I’m 14 and I can drive anything don’t hate
@@yeehaw.t.v.1530 Can you drive an 18 speed?
@@yeehaw.t.v.1530 I wasn't hating, I was admiring! And for the record I could at 14 as well, but that was in 1968.....
Levi Staats that’s sweet man, actually I’m also 14 and i can perfectly drive one of those
@@dmc016 That's great!
Yep, she's got that battle half beat. She's listening and doing a great job at it, practice practice practice. Well done, given a bit more time she will be shifting as smoothly as you Sir. Cheers!
Good girl you were taught right twin sticken no clutch. I've been telling my daughter she can do this in my 74 KW after showing her your video now she believes.
Now that's a truck! 👍👍👍👀👀👀👀 And, she's got that Southern accent down smooth as a native!
She is swedish
@@rogerholm2846 It was a yoke (joke) 👻. Ha! Ha! They got it. We're Gear Jammers, not knot heads. Well, not all of us are. 👍👍

That girl totally rocks this is coming from a 60 year old truck driver
She can properly drive better than a man
@Randy Wiesendanger
I guess you told on yourself
@Randy Wiesendanger
The same idea when you say a woman can't drive twitt
My husband has drove a Truck for 24 yrs so dont even call me a moron your the one that drives around the truck stop 5 × before you can find a MORON PLACE TO PARK
Settle down Ray, she's taken.
She drove and shifted that thing like a pro, first truck I ever drove was a 48' Pete, love these old trucks, and as someone else stated this girl is a keeper, and good on you letting her take the wheel
You’re one lucky guy, to have that truck, and a kickass girl, that knows how to drive it.
@Hell's favorite NPC #69OU812 . exe
Like your mom
Bad ass 5-4 No power steering. That big baby was a real job.😎🇺🇸
Oh that's just sexy that's just pure too sexy for me man I'll take my hat off to you where do I find one like her and man send her my way to day you lucky bastard LOL
this is uploaded in my birthday. and boy, she is awesome at driving. ;)
Well done 👍🏼 I so proud of you , I drive Road trains in Australia, I drive a Mack 18 Speed , all the best sister
Dude she's totally killer!!
And just think of how jealous everybody else will be when she says my family car is a KW!!!
A little gear grind here and there, we all have with twin sticks, but DAM, you should be proud, she did very good with NO LEFT FOOT!!!
It'll get better when I can drive more 😉
Soon she'll have a licence !
Darstrom remember, twin sticks are something 99% of Drivers have never even seen! Good job!
@@witkr904 Ofcourse it's a dying breed ! I didn't even know it existed before I bought this (without testrun)
Awesome video
What a great job driving ,5 & 4 no clutch. It doesn't get any better.
This first time I drove an old Autocar it had 220 Cummins and a 5 & 4. The man who taught me said if you can drive one of these you can drive anything and he was right.
Today these kids can't drive a 4 speed. When I tell them about these trucks they think I'm crazy.
I have owned many Autocars with this setup.
Allright, not bad! Don't loose the will to lead the big old “Kenny“ 👍
Show us, how to use the motor brake on your next spin, lady!
Sounds so beautyfull!
BA-BA-BA-BA.....
Cheers and good luck from Germany.
Very impressive!!! And what a nice unit!! Nowadays, these “drivers” have a hard time driving a truck with an automatic. Definitely hang on to her!!!
A steady hand, she found them all without fear, impressed 💯
Wow bro treat her with respect hell it took me many years to master this. Great video!
She did well. I used to drive a Euclid dump truck with a similar twin shifter, takes time to get used to.
Very nice job well done 👍 i gotta teach my wife now that she watched your video 🤪
Well done no panic in them changes Treated the gears with respect 😁
She did good. Keep her. In our generation, not many people can run a set of boxes. Cheers from the USA🤘
Handled it like a trooper
I spent my 13th and 14th year running around the U. S. A. in a 1957 KW with my Dad nearly 40 years ago. It had a 5 speed main box with a 4 speed progressive browny in it. 335 Cummins. Driving that ole' truck tought me a lot and as I look back it was a lot of work but a lot of fun too.
How awesome. Respect to you and your father for driving a machine like this for work !
I'm in heaven with this !!! Love the Twin sticks & Manual steering !!!
She drives good...nice truck - clean
Awesome job! I really enjoyed seeing your video. Great driving!
Trocou de marcha só no tempo, sem pisar na embreagem. Essa é raiz, parabéns 👏👏👏👏👏

Yooo this girl can drive i rate her driving skills....just insane abilities bro😍👍👍👍
She handles that pretty darn well, You go girl, the rolls of all trucks Kenworth
This is what heaven looks like people.
Lord Have Mercy! A Split Shift! Let's see, Short stick = Low, Neutral, High an Reverse, Tall Stick= 1st thru 5th? an 6th thru 10th? She does a better job then I could! Grinding to High! Rough on the Arm an Shoulder! Ice Pack time! Great Job Darling! :) I'm impressed! Now, just try an master not looking at the Sticks! Frankly, I don't even think I wouldn't look at them, it's been so many years since I've driven a Split. Lol! But that was Great! Great Job!!!
The short is the main box, 4 gears. The tall is the aux box with another 4 gears.
Actually this is the third time or so she sat in the driver seat, and did super job!
@@Darstrom Thanks for responding! :) Yeah, she did Awesome! What year is that ole Tractor anyway? Great looking machine, even with the "Coffin Box" on her! Looks like one of a kind! :)
@@kevinsunderman4432 The coffin sleeper is what makes her stand out from all the 63 inchers out there! She's from what i can find a 53 model but 50 in the papers. And thanks I'll probably keep her just as she is!

You'll never know trucking till you've driven a 2 stick needle nose
John Savoy why?
@@volgariver6426 Because it's not same, we didn't have air ride,or AC, no gps, No power steering maybe a suspension seat, but the trucks had style and grace,we were knights of the highway, Cowboys of the roads, wasn't no trade school drivers,
fuck off ...No you don't !
@Geo Thomas Drove my share of old Mack's including B models.I love a Mack Triplex, one of best, yes you're right left arm though the wheel and right hand on the main drive I loved it,New and improved doesn't always mean it's better
@Geo Thomas not just B models all of them
Hats4 Off. A Keeper. Moving on down the road classy & Sassy. Greatwork
I started out in a 2 stick truck back in the early 70's. We didn't know anything of power steering in those days. Just plain ole arm strong steering in cab overs or hoods. Spring or rubber ride suspensions, no air ride. Hell the greatest thing they came out with was the air ride seat & today everyone wants to ride around setting on the floor, lol. Heaters wouldn't keep you warm at all & the cabs leaked air everywhere you could think of. The only A/C was to roll down the hand crank windows & open your vents. Well I guess using the little defrost fans on the dash helped circulate the air a bit. Most today wouldn't know how to drive a 2 stick truck & would run from it. They wouldn't have any idea why those little spot mirrors are pointed toward the top of the stacks either. And they sure wouldn't know how to react to that old flat dash or the crawl through (coffin) sleeper. Nice ole rig you got there, a real piece of history & you ain't got to run that electronic log shit either. AAHHH the good ole days.
That's pretty sweet. Nice job young Lady. Obviously not her fist time driving it. She's definitely a keeper!!
I can't get my girlfriend to drive a 36ft. motorhome!!
me and her would get along great proud truckers daughter since 1990
Lovely truck best wishes from Manchester England
Thats one sweet sounding KW
Love it, beautiful woman driving a beautiful truck! life doesn't get much better than that!
She did real good i think that truck fits her as an accessory lineup lol
Dude you better lock this one up! She is obviously a unicorn.
Power to you man. She wants one of those. Have a good day.
She handled it like great ! Keep her if u can ! shes rare
That rig is just so badass.
This proves a lady can do anything a man can do , I love it 👍👍👍👍
Very nicely done!
Love that engine sound
excellent drive!!!! more of her!!!
She's doing absolutely fabulous handling a very challenging truck - I'd guess very few people who have never driven a truck from that era would be able to handle it without some time to learn how- I do wish that the producers of this video would add on closed captioning to make it easier to understand what the people are saying...Anyway,thanks for a fantastic video!
Thanks for looking! What we're saying is mostly not worth translating. I'm only helping in what order to go between gas and shift or when to release the clutch in order to get a gear in =)
Darstrom, you're a blessed man son! Keep her happy!!!
This truck with Black-Metal music !!! Yeah ! ;-)
I'm French I love so much the American Truck 70/80s!
The sound of motor is orgasmic !
Sorry for my English
You better get a ring on that finger!!! That's a keeper!!!
Great video. Keep up the good work.
That Girl is Amazing !!! She s a KEEPER
GOD DAMN...that's hot!
A good lookin' woman handling that KW with ease!
The only thing that would have made it any better was if she stopped the truck, then got on her motorcycle, with a full auto weapon on her back!!!
God bless you Sister!!
JSBIRD69 yes indeed 1 bad bitch....
Does anyone know when kenworth started putting power steering in their trucks? What was the last model to get it?
Great job! Nice looking truck!
Good job girl the first truck I ever drove with my dad was a five and a four
Damn nice truck love the sound
Beautiful sound!!!!!!!!!!! And a well driver!
And cue the comments about her scratching gears from the steering wheel holders driving automatic trucks. Great job young lady, very impressive.
Twin stick AND manual steering? That's a hand full.
And NO Clutch - What'a gal..!
and she knew it got center point steering,..let go of wheel and it spin back to center on its own!
I'll let her drive my manual Kenworth.
She past the test! Cool video, nice👍🏻
That's sooo cool. GOD has blessed you.
You can forget about the driver's seat, now she will drive all the time XD

A blast from the past.
I was enjoying your videos and then I saw the name on the sleeper and it really made my day. The former charlie ludy trucking garage is 4 min from my house. My grandfather and my father both drove for him at one point.
Nice! Is there anyway to know they used this in the 70s - 80s?
Darstrom I can ask my father see if he would remember the truck. Unfortunately my grandfather passed away in 2015 but he had a lot of pictures of the different trucks he drove over the years I’ll take a look threw them
@@rustyshackleford6960 That would be great! Anything you find I know I'll appreciate!
Ok so my father said he never saw the truck in person but there used to be photos of it in the shop. He said that it was Charlie ludy personal work truck. No one else got to drive it. It was his pride and joy. My dad is actually going to see his family in 2 weeks he’s going to show Charlie your videos see if he remembers the truck.
@@rustyshackleford6960 Wow that is way cool! I look forward hearing beck from you!
So the former Charlie Ludy is now the Ludy Jr Trucking company?

Not like sweaty old man's butt . Hope to see you on the super slab rolling coal . All the best to you darlin 😎
I drove a 10 speed years ago. 5 on stick. With hi low on shifter. They actually fun to drive. Seems like she figures it out quickly. At first is intimidating but nothing like learning how to drive these trucks. Sitting high and learning the mirrors and shifting patterns is something that everyone learns. You got to do it to understand.
Yes very fun to drive but it would be quite exhausting to work in it every day!
