What does listeria bacteria eat/do when it acts as a contaminant in meat and fruits? Why the bacteria appears in those foods? What it does in the body of human?
i had a bad case from spanish baby eels that i was served on the ramblas in barcelona about 5 years ago. sever flu like symptoms for 5 days. it was the worst food poisoning i have ever endured. often sleeping only 1-2 hours each night, spending never ending hours in the bathroom going from toilet to shower and repeat hundreds of times.
So Non-Invasive Listeria the bacteria embeds in the intestines cells, not necessarily deadly...... But invasive listeria they bacteria embeds into spinal and brain tissue and encephalitis occurs and kills. Listeria is a bacteria but when it embeds into cells it's like a parasite. I just got over it...3 bad weeks
I was wondering if it can be transmitted in filtered water from the refrigerator. We have had a winter storm and I've just been told about Listeria last night told not to drink the water I only during the water from the fridge and I just forgot til after my first cup of water today.

Redsharkgamer I'm wondering the same thing. I had that sargento cheese and now I'm very sick with the severe severe nausea and diarrhea. I can't even sleep. My stomach is in so much pain. How do I go to the doctor with this diarrhea though? I will poop in the car. It's never been so bad in my entire life.
