    I wouldn't say that check raises are merged in general. Some are polarized, some are merged. JT5r you x/r with the bigger size => polarizing your range.
    I think we have a lot of 5x in x/r range because we have all the possible sets, giving as more value combos then in BTN vs BB scenario, so we add more bluffs.
    Wouldn't call 5x a merge hand.
    Merged x/rs are mostly on flops containing trips, straights and flushes.

      My definition of merged is my XR can be called by both better and worse hands. If I XR 53s I can be called by AK which I’m ahead of but also AJ. I like your explanation as well.

      @@paulleroux386Thanks for checking out the video. Yeah that’s a good video idea. I’ll make a follow up to this one with turn/river and show some MDA for it. I have a video coming out in a few days from BTNs perspective vs XR-B-B but I’ll do one from BBs perspective too.
