    I wouldn't say that check raises are merged in general. Some are polarized, some are merged. JT5r you x/r with the bigger size => polarizing your range. I think we have a lot of 5x in x/r range because we have all the possible sets, giving as more value combos then in BTN vs BB scenario, so we add more bluffs. Wouldn't call 5x a merge hand. Merged x/rs are mostly on flops containing trips, straights and flushes.

    • @DooDooPoker
      @DooDooPoker 4 дня назад

      My definition of merged is my XR can be called by both better and worse hands. If I XR 53s I can be called by AK which I’m ahead of but also AJ. I like your explanation as well.

    • @DooDooPoker

      @@newtonn2997 FDs always have odds to call flop. Your Cbet sizing is based around villains 0EV continues. In this spot, if we bet 75% pot. Villains gutshots are 0EV continues so that’s all we care about OTF. We start caring about FDs OTT which is why we jam double FD turns.

    Why do our target and bet size change on two-tone flops? Is it because we’re less inclined to play for three streets and instead aim to end the hand by the turn? Similar to the first concept you mentioned-how many streets does our hand/range want to play?

    • @DooDooPoker
      @DooDooPoker 7 дней назад

      Good question I was thinking about the other day. Here is my rationale for it. We change targets from AK2r vs AK2tt because on the FD board the underpairs get cut in half. On the AK2r when we bet 20% pot all the 66-99 are 0EV continues but on the AK2tt half of the 66-99 are just pure folds (ones with no BDFD). So our targeting range now changes to gutshots for bet big since we no longer care about 66-99 with no BDFD.

    I am guessing that the tighter formations like LJ vs BB won't be overbluffed and overfolded because they have less bluffs for spot 1?

    • @DooDooPoker

      They are overbluffed and over folded as well but not as much. Any probe70-B line is overbluffed overall. Some runouts are underbluffed though.

    TT is wild.are you still happy with your play? i think that hero has better bluff candidates with more incentive. TT seems to be a bit too much hand. also the river jam is only half pot (easy to over bluff) and the 55 runout makes overpairs beat 98s and 87s.

    • @DooDooPoker

      @@looper6394 Thanks for checking out the video. I don’t think 98s/87s 4bet preflop very often if ever, unless you mean my 98s/87s? I think I jam turn with those hands pretty often and don’t really 3bet them preflop. And I think over pairs better than my TT will high frequency fold river so I think it will outperform whatever a solver says.

    Enjoying the videos thanks DooDooPoker Idk about xf AKs with bdfd on 876r. Agree that you you lose EV when you hit A and don’t get paid by AJs/ATs/A5s, but people might stab AQo more often than solver on flop to make you fold other AK and you can probs cooler that hand. I also expect they’ll let AKs realise equity better than solver by missing air and not barrelling merged enough on turn, or firing the b-x-b bluffs, so we might gain back the EV by getting to river/showdown more My theory is b-x-b and b-b-b from ip pfc in 4bet pots will be underbluffed and they just 1 done their air. IP gets scared to bluff into tight filtered ranges or worried about traps Then again they might bet all their nuts on the turn and we get to river less often than solver

    • @DooDooPoker
      @DooDooPoker Месяц назад

      Thanks for checking out the video. I think you bring up some good points and I don't have a very strong opinion either way between folding or calling but I do still prefer folding. We know from preflop MDA that players are under 3betting/over folding to 4bets so BTN's range will be stronger than a solver. MDA also tells us that 4BP IP PFC stabs are around 10% less than theory even though they have a stronger range. When you combine those two factors with the fact that he stab B50 in a spot that never goes that sizing, I think IP is trending towards value. The other factor that makes me want to fold flop is range composition preflop. From my data I have players more likely to call 77 than AQo even though both are 0EV. It makes sense because 77 is much easier to play postflop where as AQo will still flop mostly bluff catchers. Thanks for your thoughts and I'm glad you enjoyed the video.

      @@DooDooPoker Thanks for the response and MDA insights! I like folding more now I also missed that flop stab was 50% - I thought it was 25%! Agree about value trending in that case, might even be a 2 street plan from ip which isn't good for AKs equity realisation either
