    So heartbreaking that babies go through this only cuz their mothers were doing bad drugs. My niece is now a nurse and works in the same type of department with new babies born addicted.

    Your title is wrong. Using term "addicted" to refer to babies affected by neonatal abstinence syndrome is inappropriate from medical and moral ground. Those babies developed chemical dependence only and we should not be labeling them as addicted

      How the hell do you know what a neonate is thinking? Are you implying a baby can't experience psychological desire? They don't crave the breast from day 1? If they can have desire for the tit, why not for the needle or the foil? They don't know how to get what they want, but of course they crave it.
