Yeah I know what you mean by passing by. Looking forward to the autumnal colours this year. Many thanks for watching and subscribing. Glad you enjoyed the video😀👍👍
Nice tutorial Gary. I often feel "overwhelmed" by the woods and can't figure out where to focus and how to compose the shot. This was helpful in that regard. Thanks.
Absolutely, greens are SO HARD!! (Especially, blue-greens, argh.) I had to laugh at myself as I found myself saying to the phone screen, "Gary, squat down and catch the hint of the foreground plants or a trunk with a fern in your view." Seriously, Elaine just hush! - 💚 Elaine (Don't ask me how I'm off Jim's account for this post, I have no idea 😂)
The really tricky part with woodland photography, I always find, is finding a really clear subject. It's so often a case of trees in the foreground, trees in the background, and it all ends up as one big leafy mess. It takes either a lot of scouting to find a really nice subject, or a bit of luck in terms of conditions (ie mist) to really make a nice shot. Luckily we've got woods and mists aplenty here in Scotland! Looking forward to getting out when the leaves turn. 🌲🌫️🍂🏴
Totally agree the mist helps so much. I do enjoy the challenge of trying to make sense of all the details in a composition though. Thanks for watching😁👍👍
Everything lol. No it's only usually got the camera a couple of lenses, the video stuff, a rain jacket; you never know! and some water. Honestly not heavy. I have a smaller bag for other days but I really like the fact that the fstop bag has the inner zip to access the gear. That way you can lie it down nearly anywhere and know that your back won't get filthy when you put it back on. Thanks for watching 😀👍👍
Great wee blog Gary, not an easy subject to tackle, & yes I'm also looking forward to the autumnal colours,
Thanks again for watching Ivie, glad you enjoyed it😁👍👍
Beautiful images Gary. I am off down to a forest tomorrow and I hope to make some great images there.
Great laidback video...
Glad you enjoyed it David, thanks again for watching😁👍👍
