- This EASY Lasagna recipe is beefy, saucy and supremely flavorful. Homemade lasagna is better than any restaurant version and it feeds a crowd at dinner for way less than going out to eat.

Ingredients for Italian Lasagna:
►1 lb ground beef (15-20% fat content)
►1 small onion finely diced
►2 large garlic cloves minced
►1/4 cup red wine (any kind), or beef broth
►1 Tbsp olive oil
►24 oz Marinara Sauce (3 cups)
►1/2 tsp sea salt
►1/4 tsp black pepper ground
►1/4 tsp dried thyme
►1/2 tsp granulated sugar
►2 Tbsp parsley finely chopped
►9 lasagna noodles cooked al dente
Ingredients for Cheese Sauce:
►16 oz low-fat cottage cheese
►15 oz reduced-fat ricotta cheese
►1 large egg
►2 Tbsp parsley finely chopped, plus more to garnish
►4 cups mozzarella cheese shredded, divided

You take the fear out of trying to cook different dishes. Your positive attitude shows through and you are always jazzed when the dish is ready. It is contagious. You make me a better cook.
i made this last night with a few adjustments and it was perfect. Quite literally the best lasagna I've ever had.
Adjustment #1: Drain the beef after it's browned or you're going to get a greasy mess.
Adjustment #2: skip the boiling noodles and use oven ready lasagna noodles. Saves so much time and does not at all compromise on the taste.
That being said, this was a phenomenal dish and easy to make. But man alive, cheese is expensive.
I used this recepie to cook my first ever lasagna and I never looked back! My family and I love it, it literally melts in your mouth. Thank you so much for sharing this! My all time favorite

I made this exactly as stated except used ground turkey meat and used Cabernet as the wine. I was prepared to serve 4 people however, right at the last minute I was informed several others would be joining us. Panicked thinking I would not have enough food I decided to make the same sauce using ground beef and serve it with spaghetti. Well...everyone loved it!!! The food was absolutely delicious and both dishes were so rich in flavor. So so good!!! Thank you thank you so much for your wonderful recipes. Every dish I have made has been a success. 😘

I have made this lasagna a couple of times and it’s always a hit. I just made one adjustment, I added one pound of Italian sausage to the beef and followed the recipe.

I use 1# beef - 1/2# sweet or hot italian sausge, I also like little flavor of fennel which sets it apart from the average tomato sauce if it's not in the jar of sauce. - I'd say about 1/2 tsp
