Drifting is much harder in GT7 vs GT Sport so more practice is needed. I also wasn't able to use my handbrake because I will need the Thrustmaster Sim Hub to be able to use both the shifter and handbrake at the same time in GT7.

I have this exact same setup. Love the sparco wheel so much. I must admit though, drifting on wheel in this game is crazy tough, I feel like the counter steer is so damn grippy. How would you rate this TGT 2 compared to DD wheels? Worth the upgrade?

Hey mate. Yeah the Sparco wheel is fantastic isn’t it. GT7 is definitely much harder to drift than GT Sport or even Assetto Corsa. I’m still getting the hang of it. I think GT7 still needs some work and will likely evolve to be better as time goes on.
As for the T-GT 2, I really like it, it feels like home. I was using Thrustmaster T300 for several years. I had purchased the Fanatec CSL DD and then the GT DD Pro for GT7 but because I had too many issues with Fanatec, I decided to just go back to Thrustmaster and picked up the T-GT 2.
Honestly, it’s not a night and day difference as most RUclipsrs will have you believe but this is only my opinion. The biggest difference you will immediately notice when going to / from a Fanatec DD is the smoothness but once you get past that, it’s really not a huge difference. I don’t mind how the T-GT 2 feels in terms of smoothness, you get used to it. The 8nm boost kit does indeed feel more powerful than the T-GT 2 and the 5nm feels a little less or about the same. If we compare what I’m actually feeling through the wheel with FFB, I’m still getting all the info I was with the Fanatec DD, it’s still there but it’s a little more pronounced with the 8nm boost kit.
For reasons that I can’t explain though, I feel as though I have more finite control over the car with the T-GT 2 than I did with either the CSL DD or the GT DD. I know that sounds absurd, but it’s true. I had to concentrate drifting certain cars in Assetto Corsa but with the same car it feels effortless with the T-GT 2, I don’t know why.
Both wheel bases from either brand are very good but I have chosen to stick with Thrustmaster for their reliability, ease of use with plug and play, compatibility and that it “just works”.

@@BecksDrives really appreciate the detailed response. I'm loving my TGT2. I've read a couple forums of people being disappointed by upgrading from the TGT to the DD pro, primarily because of the absence of the transducer effects. Apparently the DD is great through the corners but becomes almost completely dead on straights, depending on the track and game of course. The only thing I dislike about the TGT2 is the fan noise is quite high pitched and loud. I'm not sure if it's just my unit and I got unlucky, or if it's just how it is. I had a T300 before this wheel and that was much quieter.

I have a similar setup with the Thrustmaster TS-PC and the R383 Sparco wheel. Did your Thrustmaster wheel work with the PS5 just plug and play or do you need some kind of a adapter to make it work with PS5?

    Does clutch kicking work ?
With Controller you don’t have any clutch option

Yes you can clutch kick with a wheel and pedals but unfortunately not on a controller. You can quickly tap the handbrake button on a controller which will basically do a clutch kick but not as effective as using pedals.
