Dear Kim Wade, thank you for uploading this.
My father is battling stage four colon cancer in Dominican Republic. He’s a Haitian national and so far unable to get care in USA. I’ve found myself so angry, resentful, and overwhelmed with everything. Especially with the hospital for their lack of care and infecting with a deadly infection.
Yesterday, a friend of mine, who’s a doctor in USA, volunteered his time and flew to DR to examine my father - he was reading this book. I took a picture of it and looked it up. Today, I have already seen results from listening to the first part you uploaded. It helped me in putting aside my pride and practicing more patience. I still have a long way to go, but I’m making small steps as I recognize my pride and anger is not helping my situation.
I am determined to practice Mindfulness. May I add this doctor friend of mine is someone I just met two weeks ago who was so touched by my story that he flew in? He’s a pure manifestation of loving kindness and compassion.
