Wow, I've fabricated a few silos in my time, always with a crane, tools and ppe!! I take my hat of to these fellas, extremely skilled men.
These amaze me no tools no boots nothing but respect to these people one drop of that steel on them sandals and ouch but ye 💯 respect to this race 👍🏻🙏🏻

As a professional welder I want to send these guys some decent boots and leather cape and a legit welding helmet. Stick welding wearing man jammies and sandals😢 for those that want a debate about what a man is they should watch this video these dudes definitely know what they're doing and have built more than a few of these silos

So experienced he built it on its side, professionals use chain blocks and build them within their intended footprint
We always built our corrugated silos one section at a time using a circular plywood pattern. We just screwed the metal to the pattern and came back and welded it, so on so forth. We never did the one sheet at a time thing. We also staggered ours on thirds not halves.

Instead of welding a clamp as a bridge to tight the gap between the ring and body why don’t u try the heavy duty strip ratchet ? (The one they secured the load on lorries and load , u can do one time loop around body tight it and do all the Tak than remove

They are really very Hard Worker, have Fabricated Silo with minimum Man Power, Tools and Equipment Like any Chain Hoist, Over Head Crane and any moving aid/ Welding Fixture or Work Station, also I think that the Customer is not Quality minded they want Just Silo; on very low cost and that's OK, They have no care about the Possible Hazards to come in the service of SILO, Like Seismic or Wind Loads and other service condition loads; no Hydro or any Other Test of Equipment, how is customer assured strength and uniformity of Weld Joints, it is the equal responsibility of Client/ Customer and the Seller to produce better Products Designed and Manufactured under Standard Practice and make Business with reputable Firms / Companies.
I would imagine that if they didn't build a quality product people wouldn't continue to buy it. Bad quality comes in many different flavors for many different countries. It could be finally engineered with all kinds of failure mode analysis these look like they're pretty thick Steel sheets and it's pretty difficult to not get enough penetration when your stick welding something like that a cylinder is one of the strongest shapes you can make next to a sphere.
This silo is actually as good as the ones in the west, in some ways its more sturdy.
At what point where they using "minimal tools"? This is pretty standard silo building...
