Love the video! Beautiful view of the ice on the lake and finally the Northern lights!! ❤❤ Thank you for bringing me the leftovers it’s was delicious! Amazing job Kenny!
Hey Mandi! I totally get you not wanting to be on YT. I'm the same... but it is nice to see you even in cameo enjoying Kenny's camping adventures. Merry Christmas to you both!😊
My, oh my, these videos have become the highlight of my week and I am definitely addicted. Thank you for bringing so much joy, happiness, and serenity to so many of us. The quality of the videos are freaking amazing. Thank you for another amazing video sir !!!
Kenny, the sunset was gorgeous and the northern lights were amazing! Yummy dip and naan…but you need to slather all that cheesy goodness onto a big french loaf, cut in half and baked in that snazzy oven! You had me laughing with the applause overlay! That drone can sure take a lickin’! I have been binging yoir videos from the beginning….wow oh wow! Loving them. I feel like I owe you gas money now..been on the road with you for a week! I have never been ice fishing and found it fascinating. Sometime you and Mandy need to make it to Utah. 36 State Parks, 5 National parks 4 National forests and 4 recreation areas. With your rig, you would have maximum access to about 23 million acres of public land. Or so I am told..lol my butt is parked on a mountain that would take years to explore all the sites. Anyways…good food, good film, good friends..can’t ask for more than that! Thanks for bringing us along and see you next week!
I forgot to ask: What is the move called when you set up shots to show you coming and going? I assume you are driving away from the camera, but then go back and retrieve it. Clean it up in the edit. But what is that called? When I fist started watching, I assumed it was another person with you. But obviously that is not right. Either way, it must take ALOT of time. My favorite is when you drive over your camera. That’s just cooool!
Your idea with the French bread sounds AMAZING!! I appreciate you going back and watching the older videos. I know the first year or so are a little cringy....I have learned a lot about editing and recording over the last few years. When I started, I had zero experience. I bought a used gopro 9 off eBay and a 500 dollar laptop off Craigslist. I didn't own a computer prior to the channel.
That's exactly how I do it. I have no clue what's it's called. I try to pick up editing ideas when I watch movies. I find movies have the best transitions.
I'm building my own truck camper. I asked my daughter if she knew why I'm building it? She said " to get away from momma"? I said "besides that, I want a hotel on wheels I'm too old to sleep on the ground any more.
I hear that. My back is to old to sleep on the ground. Plus, the condensation on a humid muggy summer morning will make it rain I the tent. No more sticky sleeping bags for me.
Kenny, I don't care if you don't catch any fish. Your campfire cooking skills are awesome. Tell Mandi hi for us, and thanks for letting you show us some great campsites. P.S. keep the generator. It sure comes in handy.
It's artichoke country around here. Castroville, Ca is just down the road. My mom used to make these deep fried artichoke hearts. She would get bags of these small artichokes, cut out the hearts. Drench them in a batter of butter, garlic, parmesan cheese, then fry them.... A once a year treat... unless you want cardiac arrest.
Thank you. It's fun trying to imagine how scenes will match up when recording them. Sometimes, I forget what I'm talking about when I move the camera around mid sentence. But recording and editing is enjoyable for me. Thanks for the compliment.
I say keep the generator, makes for an easy recharge, or to run the micro, or AC in the summer. I run mine the same way on a front mount, 2000 Ford F250 Super Duty, and a heavy 2001 S&S 8.5 camper, old stuff, but the camper was top of the line when new and has ALL the comforts. May need to upgrade t an AF one of these days!
I think you are right about the generator. I do love this camper. It is 20 years old but still looks modern. The Arctic Fox Lineup has not changed much over the years. It is a 2004 M860. It looks just like the newer 811 models.
Yes! Kenny, I love reading the nice comments that people give you. You deserve it!! You’re not a money man, just a good guy, with good values. God Bless you.
New to the channel, and wanted to say THANK YOU for all your efforts in cleaning your campsites before setting up. You help to somewhat restore our faith in humanity.
I never camped a day in my life, but I enjoy watching it. It relieves my stress and anxiety especially your videos as your so calming. I think I might try it this Spring. Thanks for taking us along this week. 🤗
When you pulled that sled out of your truck I thought how is he going to fish without an auger....lol. Good thing you had an axe. I was blown away by the lack of snow, but yeah, great for making good ice.
You could've fooled me with the filming saying you are not a youtuber! You do a great job with what youhave. Im telling you have a real nice setup with the camper. It looks real cozy especially during the winter time. Keep up the good work. I know its alot to put together the videos with all the editing. All can say is Thank You!! These videos really are relaxing to watch.
I really appreciate you taking the time to follow along. I do love the camper it feels like home to me. It's 20 years old now but is still in good condition. I hope it lasts another 8 to 10 years.
Time to John-innovate !!! Bring my John-firecan kit (rocket stove) onto the lake. Bring lengthy copper tubing. Closed loop tubing. Place over the rocket stove and superheat the air which circulates to dropped copper tubing into the vertical water column creating warmed water that the fish will swim to and get warm (and get hungry). Then drop down some warm lure bait - and catch a gob of fish in that area !!!

You don't have to be a professional to make extremely good videos. So calming and peaceful. You and Mandy are gold. Hoping you guys had a great thanksgiving.😊 A clove is just one wedge. A bulb is the whole thing.😅😅... I love garlic!!! That looks so good 😋
@@KennyOfAllTrades As soon as you asked that in the video I had a flashback to when my oldest daughter was in college and had her first apartment. She and her roomie were following a recipe that called for three cloves. Yup, same as you they didn't know the difference and they put in three whole heads. Sadly the dinner turned out inedible and ended up in the garbage. Lesson learned and now years later it's a fun story that even she laughs at.
@TheOtherBill lol. Yep, that sounds exactly like something I would do. A few years back, I had to bring cheesy potatoes to our family Christmas dinner. I read the recipe wrong and used 3 tablespoons of salt rather than 3 teaspoons. I wrecked that dish too!
You and me got all that built in insulation too! Eh! I do the same, well dressed but start to sweat. I usually do one T-shirt and a hoodie. If below 28 the my carhardt goes on.

Hey Kenny, new subscriber here. I got to tell you, you are the spitting image of my doctor, no kidding, your voice is also exactly like his. Both work for good health.. Thanks so much for the videos.
Dented truck, wet socks and a drone in a tree… a wise man once said “ you’ve got to pay to play”😁 Amazing Northern Lights! Great food and beautiful, peaceful spots! I really enjoy hanging out with you on Tuesday nights! See you next week!
Thanks Kenny for another great video. You are such a master at putting these together start to finish. Makes me feel like I am there camping. I am gearing up to get me a set up like yours. I am 61 retired and figure it is time. Have a great rest of the week and say hello to your daughter.
Anther great video Kenny good work loved the campsite. Pretty crazy were in December and no snow I live 30 miles north of Duluth and we have about 7 inches of good ice around here. Should be a good winter for fishing. Thanks for the great videos.
Thanks for watching! I spend a lot of time up your way. This year, the fuel prices kept me closer to home. That's why I had so many videos finding dispersed camping in the Chippewa compared to years past when I was in the Superior National Forest. I love your area. I even thought about moving that way years back. There was a position open in Silver Bay that I was interested in. But my girls were too young at the time for me to move that far away from their mom. Maybe one day Mandi and I will find a home on the North Shore. If you ever see me up that way, make sure to say hi.
What a peaceful spot and the northern lights were amazing. I'm going to try that artichoke dish. It looked so good. I would keep the generator if it were me. All you have to do is need it one time and you'll regret it if it's not there. That was the cleanest camp spot in a while. So nice. Safe travels.
Being from AZ I can't even imagine walking out on that frozen lake!! When I was younger I lived in northern Montana for a few years, but when the temp one winter fell to -40 one day that was it for me cuz that was the HIGH for that winter day! My oldest brother loves that cold weather though. He's been up there for nearly 40 years. Married with kids and a first grandchild on the way. I watch RUclips from the comfort of my room with a heating pad on my chair and a small space heater for my feet :) Just the way I like it! Thanks for sharing your vlogs!
Kinda cool to watch not only your workmanship but also the ticker of likes and comments upticking faster than I can type. Well done. You have become the Tuesday night YT standard my friend. ❤
Thanks for that. I remember how cool it was whenever I would get a response for the channels I watched. I know there will come a day when I will not be able to keep up with it.
You answered yourself. One section is a clove. The whole thing is a bulb. I can’t wait for your taste. I bet it is pretty garlicky putting in the whole bulb! I think you should try adding some chopped fresh spinach, to make it even better.
Hey Kenny! Two things, a clove of garlic is just one part of the whole garlic! More importantly, no generator no Jimmy Dean! Better keep it buddy! What a great spot you found! You always take us to some beautiful places! Thanks and have a great week! T!
YAY, another AWESOME video from Kenny, YAY! ! ! 🤗 🤗 🤗 Okay, Kenny, I admit it, I am totally, thoroughly and seriously addicted to your videos, WOW, I mean REALLY Kenny, their GRREAT 👏👏👏👏👏👏 This is only the second video of yours that I have watched, but, I just can't help it, you look like you are having the time of your life and I am so happy for you, COOL, VERY COOL! Happy Camping my friend! 👍🤗👍
@@KennyOfAllTrades Oh Kenny, I am just so over the moon that I found you and your channel, it's like a breath of fresh air (no pun intended), but, seriously though, you are truly a wonderful guy camping in your AWESOME camper just enjoying the great outdoors, what more could there be? 🤔 I'm really proud of you, I really am. You know, so many people say that their going to go out camping for a weekend and they never do it, and I think that is so sad. I'm so glad that you go out camping on weekends, why not, you know? A guy can't work all the time, he HAS to unwind sometime! GOOD FOR YOU! 👏👏👏👏 Have you ever seen a bear where you have camped? WOW, wouldn't that be impressive! 🐻 I have never subscribed to anyone's channel before after only watching 1 or 2 of their videos, but, I sure did with yours. Your videos are truly interesting and informative, besides their fun, it's fun spending time with you! You say that at the end of your videos, I think that is so cute! 😆 😃😁 😉 You are going to think that I'am some kind of a weirdo, but, I can assure you that I'm not, but, when I watched your 1st video, I got a real nice, warm, down to earth feeling about you, and I have never met you, but, it feels as if I have, isn't that incredible? Well, okay my friend, now that I have sent a wrong picture of me, I will look forward to seeing your next AWESOME video, I am going to binge watch your other videos, I can't wait, it's going to be so PHENOMENAL! 👏 👏 👏 👏 Thank you for sharing your talents and videos my friend, KEEP CAMPING and take care! 🔥 🌑 🌌 🌅 🚙
Coming from British Columbia Canada I've NEVER understood the concept of people buying wood from a store when nature provides. All the same I've really enjoyed your videos over the past month. Thank you and remember kids always carry your firearms with you when in the woods.
I hear you. I often get asked why I buy wood. I have shown gathering wood in previous videos. My issue is that 20-minute activity like gathering wood equals 2 to 3 hours of recording and editing time. I have to choose what activities I want to do for the videos. If I ever make videos full-time, I would be able to show more stuff like gathering firewood. That is my goal one day.
Mr. Kenny, this is my second of your videos ive watched in 2 days, wouldn't have really any comment, But I saw the timestamp on this post, December 1st. My Father's Birthday was December 1st, 1926. He would have been 97 this year. He was born in Oakland California. I was born in Oakland California in 1967 to him and his wife, my Mother. ..the fun thing I didn't snap to until I was a young Married man, myself. 😂 The math? Between 12/1/1066 and August 2nd, 1967? When I made the connection I was 😳, then 😂, then 👍🤟🤙. Happy memories shared are how we know ourselves. 🎉
Ok so you opened a can of worms with this video 😂 where’s the prime rib? Interesting supper choice,I’ve never had either of those.Anyway thanks again for another cool video
So I'm thinking about what I'm going to make this weekend... I might have to do a prime rib. I'll have to see if Walmart has any in the cooler. I was thinking about homemade pizzia or fish tacos. If I actually put time on the lake...4 or 5 hours, I'd catch fish. I know I usually don't catch fish on the channel... but that's because I spend more time moving the camera and capturing the right angle than having a rod in my hand.
Thanks Kenny, artichoke dip, have not made it in a while, now I hungry for it. Just a heads up, deer hunting season still open until 10th, muzzleload. Should wear article of orange clothing to be safe.
Hi Kenny, you were talking about the scratches and beauty marks that your truck and camper have collected over time............between having a garage queen or having the enjoyment of the places it has given you........I could live with a few scratches, your rig is still a real beauty, I'd sure be proud to own it. I know you have thoughts about taking the inverter gen off the front but I think for myself anyway I would feel much better about having a redundant power source. When needed, it would power your AC through the hottest summer days and keep your batteries charged up to run the furnace on your approaching sub zero weather.
That is very true. I have about 3500 watt hours of inverter power in the camper. It just barely gets me by with electrical necessity. I'm thinking about taking out the finicky Onan Genetator. That would give me storage for a smaller generator. I think a 2500-watt unit would would fit in there. But I will have a hard time justifying buying a different generator when the Predator works great.
That Predator has been good to you Kenny. I have a Champion 2500 dual fuel inverter/gen that I got on Amazon for a heck of a good price a couple of years ago. I think with a "soft start" on your A.C. it would work good but that would be all. If not running the AC it would take care of the rest of the camper's needs. On gas it's super efficient and really pretty quiet. @@KennyOfAllTrades
@@KennyOfAllTradesgarlic is measured with your heart , you did it the right way ! Great video as always , I really look forward to your posts. Nice cast on the drone too, master class.
That is true. I need to remind myself of that. There have been many Fridays where I'd drive over 8 hours trying to find the perfect remote spot after working all day. Only to end up pulling into a rest stop at 3 am because i couldn't find an open spot in the forest. Initially, the idea for the channel was to show people that they didn't have to quit their job and sell their house to live like their favorite RUclipsrs. A person could work all week, have a mortgage, kids, car payments, housework, all the regular responsibilities, and still have those RV and Vanlife experiences they see on RUclips. That's why I've always searched out new spots. I wanted to keep it real. So far, I've only stayed in the same campsite 2 or 3 times in the last 2.5 years. And that's only because last year we had record snowfalls that made camping limited. But I don't know how much longer I can keep this schedule. I only thought I'd be making videos for a few months.
@@KennyOfAllTrades where I grew up there was a trout pond 10 minutes away or the worlds largest man made lake(used to be) called lake Newell, which our favorite spot was at the south end which we fished, camped & partied way to hard at when we were kids.We went back to these spots again & again & I’d still go to these spots today if I still lived there. The scenery, the fishing and just living without rules kept us going back. There’s no videos(thank goodness!) Just memories & these spots were close enough to home that it didn’t matter if the party lasted all night or just a few hours,we worked hard, played harder & could return over & over again to relive and make new memories.
Wow, Kenny, you caught the Northern Lights on your time lapse, SOOOOO COOOOOOL! Simply beautiful! Your camping culinary skills are second to none, who cares if you catch a fish or not?! Another awesome video, so glad you make the extra effort to take us with every week. Sure, you forgot your auger, but there's always next week--at least it wasn't the coffee! Have a wonderful week, Kenny!
I was thinking about making fish tacos next week. That way I'd be forced to catch a couple fish. Or i'm going to just eat a cabbage and sauce wrap for supper.
Another good one as always Kenny! That was a killer good camp site. Have to say that I have never seen someone fishing for drones from tree tops before........that really showed ingenuity! Awesome casting ability. That's really awesome that you keep the letters you get, I got one in the mail Monday that you can have...............Notice of Federal Court Jury Duty in January............110 miles away. With my previous work and my kids L.E. jobs there's no way they will take me if I get to voir dire stage. Looks like the new year is starting out weird already LoL That supper looked fantastic! I'm all about anything with melted cheese, nothing more warming on a cold day. What kind of temp. does the gauge show on your oven usually? The oven has added a whole new world of cooking/baking possibilities. Thanks for bringing us along Kenny!
Thanks Richard. Federal jury is a bugger! Mandi recently went threw it. 2 days a week for a year straight. And like you, the court house was 140 miles away from home! I said the same thing to her. There's no way they will pick you, not with my background. But they picked her. She ended up making new friends, and they still get together for lunch every now and then. I don't think they will pick you up. Not with your previous career. You will have to let me know.
About the only way I see getting picked is if it's a Civil Case instead of criminal. The funny thing is two years ago my wife got called for a State Criminal Case. When she got called up for voir dire and the question was asked pertaining to family in L.E. etc my wife replied Hi Laura..........Laura replied Hi Mom Koch....our Daughter In Law was 2nd chair for the State. LOL..........Judge got a good laugh and Caryl was home in time for lunch :) @@KennyOfAllTrades

Dented truck, wet socks and a drone in a tree… a wise man once said “ you’ve got to pay to play”😁 Amazing Northern Lights! Great food and beautiful, peaceful spots! I really enjoy hanging out with you on Tuesday nights! See you next week!
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Congrats on filming the Northern lights
Don't take the generator off. You might need it. Love your videos! 💌💌
Thanks for watching. Your probably right about the generator.
Those Jimmy Dean sausage, egg, cheese croissants are the best.
Thanks Kenny for another great video. You are such a master at putting these together start to finish. Makes me feel like I am there camping. I am gearing up to get me a set up like yours. I am 61 retired and figure it is time. Have a great rest of the week and say hello to your daughter.
Very cool! Thanks for watching.
New to your site. Watched 2 videos....enjoyed and subscribed.
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Im trying your meatloaf recipe today! Its in the oven as we speak! Thanks again for your excellent videos! I'll keep you posted!
Awesome!!!. I hope you like it! 👍
@@KennyOfAllTrades it was fantastic! I didn't wrap it in bacon though. I'm heavy enough! (Also, didn't have any) Lol
@brooksikev I'm glad to hear you liked it. 👍
Hi Kenny!! Just sitting here waiting for your fun video! Thanks again! ~M
Come up to the Show Low area, and do some ice fishing, brother. Places in New Mexico, not far, either.
Kinda cool to watch not only your workmanship but also the ticker of likes and comments upticking faster than I can type. Well done. You have become the Tuesday night YT standard my friend. ❤
That is so kind of you to say. Thanks!
I love that you take the time to reply to all these folks. But you know you don’t have to with me. I’m a truck camper too. Stay cool my friend.
Thanks for that. I remember how cool it was whenever I would get a response for the channels I watched. I know there will come a day when I will not be able to keep up with it.
New subscriber, love the videos and your rig! Keep up the great videos 👍 cheers
I'm with you on those Jimmy Deans...
Kenny, when you check the fire ring for ammo, (smartly,) use a gardening trowel, with the tines on it…..you don’t want to cut your hand searching.👍
That is a great idea!
You make a good point! Looks like I'll be keeping the generator. Thanks for the heads up on the garlic situation.
YAY, another AWESOME video from Kenny, YAY! ! ! 🤗 🤗 🤗
Okay, Kenny, I admit it, I am totally, thoroughly and seriously addicted to your videos, WOW, I mean REALLY Kenny, their GRREAT 👏👏👏👏👏👏
This is only the second video of yours that I have watched, but, I just can't help it, you look like you are having the time of your life and I am so happy for you, COOL, VERY COOL!
Happy Camping my friend! 👍🤗👍
What an awesome comment! I really appreciate the kind words. I'm so happy you found the channel.
I'm really proud of you, I really am. You know, so many people say that their going to go out camping for a weekend and they never do it, and I think that is so sad. I'm so glad that you go out camping on weekends, why not, you know? A guy can't work all the time, he HAS to unwind sometime!
GOOD FOR YOU! 👏👏👏👏
Have you ever seen a bear where you have camped? WOW, wouldn't that be impressive! 🐻
I have never subscribed to anyone's channel before after only watching 1 or 2 of their videos, but, I sure did with yours. Your videos are truly interesting and informative, besides their fun, it's fun spending time with you! You say that at the end of your videos, I think that is so cute! 😆 😃😁 😉
You are going to think that I'am some kind of a weirdo, but, I can assure you that I'm not, but, when I watched your 1st video, I got a real nice, warm, down to earth feeling about you, and I have never met you, but, it feels as if I have, isn't that incredible?
Well, okay my friend, now that I have sent a wrong picture of me, I will look forward to seeing your next AWESOME video, I am going to binge watch your other videos, I can't wait, it's going to be so PHENOMENAL! 👏 👏 👏 👏
Thank you for sharing your talents and videos my friend, KEEP CAMPING and take care! 🔥 🌑 🌌 🌅 🚙
It's Tuesday great videos ty kenny
This is the first video of yours that I’ve watched without Toby !! He definitely completes you and your videos ❤❤
I think this video was shot the month Toby was born. I adopted him at 10 weeks old. I agree. The videos are better with Toby.
Great weekend. You're very blessed!
I'll probably look at going that route this spring
You eat like I used to. Keep it up and get ready for the high blood pressure from too much salt. Love your video's.
I'm almost 50. But I'll always be 30 in my head. One day I'll have to start living healthier.
Always excited to see your next video every Tuesday
Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
You're an expert at 'tree fishing' now!! Good job!
Although your videos make me glad I am in a warm house, I love them. Glad you got the aurora.
Another outstanding video. Thanks for taking us along!
Isn't a bunch of cloves called a bulb and one piece is the clove.
Your probably right. That's what Mandi said as well.
@@KennyOfAllTradesgarlic is measured with your heart , you did it the right way ! Great video as always , I really look forward to your posts. Nice cast on the drone too, master class.
I camp in the back of my 97 toyota 4runner and love it.
Those are awesome vehicles. We don't see many up here, but I loved all my Toyotas. The old 22R's were awesome little engines.
I like this comment! Thanks!
Ken you can go back to the same campsite and never go anywhere else,it doesn’t matter,if it feels right, that’s good enough.
There’s no videos(thank goodness!)
Just memories & these spots were close enough to home that it didn’t matter if the party lasted all night or just a few hours,we worked hard, played harder & could return over & over again to relive and make new memories.
Oh my, artichoke dip and naan bread - I didn't know you were such a gourmet!
Right!!??! I didn't either!
Awesome save of the drone. Great video!
Looks like the new year is starting out weird already LoL
That supper looked fantastic!
Awesome video! Thanks for taking us along.
Kenny, thank you for the beautiful campsite you go to, and thanks for sharing this with me
beautiful northern lights display--thank you
I'm glad you like it!
Thanks! Your a stand up guy, keep up the videos who needs work anyway lol
Thank you so much!!!
I really appreciate your support. The donation to the channel is appreciated.
Another good one Kenny. Enjoyed the video. Hope you have a great week
I've been watching since under 1k subscribers. Love the vids Kenny, keep them coming.
That's awesome! You have been around since the start. I really appreciate that. 🙏
Jimmy Dean, Chunky beef stew and Hungry Man dinners. Nope ain’t leaving without my generator. Thank you.

Thank you for another great video. You should keep the generator.
WINNER🥳🎉🎉🎉🎉lol thanks for sharing your adventures with us 👍🏻
Thanks for watching!
You can never have too much garlic. You had me until artichoke but I might have to try it.
Nice job getting the Northern Lights.
I would keep the generator. you never know when you might need it in a pinch.
The day I take it off will be the weekend I need it the most. That's the way the universe works.

I was pretty impressed when you caught that drone out of the tree....lol! Find a lake with fish and you will be set...
Another glorious camping trip in the bag…..Thank you for always bringing us along with you.

Another great video, thank you. Keep the generator, always better to have multiple power sources.
Very good point. I should keep it on.
Was hoping for some more ebike exploring but still a great trip and video. Catching the Northern lights was amazing.
I do need to get the bike back in the truck!
