    I began working at 18, strived and grew my portfolio to 600k by 33. Recently, lost over 30% and want to mitigate risks. Also, planning to buy a home soon and want my portfolio to grow to a 7-figure ball park so i can retire in 9 years. What should I do?

    • @AntagonisticAsian
      @AntagonisticAsian 19 дней назад +2

      My advice to you is this : if you want to grow big this year especially in your finances. Be willing to take risks. Saving is great but investing puts you on a pedestal where you wouldn't have to worry about savings as you do now. Thanks to my FA, my portfolio is doing really great and i'm proud of the decisions i made last year.

      Generally speaking, a good number of people discredit the effectiveness of a certified fiduciary in planning for retirement, For over the past 10years, I’ve had a CFA consistently restructure and diversify my portfolio/expenses and I’ve made over $3m in gains… might not be a lot but retirement doesn’t seem so farfetched anymore.

    • @greekbarrios
      @greekbarrios 19 дней назад +1

      @blaqueopaque Your CFA must be really good. How I can get in touch? My retirement portfolio's decline is a concern, and I could use some guidance.

      There are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’Kristin Amber Landis” for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look her up.

    People think they lose 50% via divorce. You lose 50% the day you get married because you're not alone anymore. You are an "Us" and you'll never be an "Us" if your relationship involves keeping tally of who does what. Keeping tally is a surefire way to divorce. Also, I highly recommend that people volunteer at a nursing home or hospital and start learning what aging and illness look like. You will not be strong forever. You will not always be attractive. You will not always be young. You will not always be healthy. Imagine not being able to work. How would your partner treat you? What do you bring to the relationship when you can't walk, have sex, work, see, or anything. The breadwinner can turn useless at the drop of a dime. Mistreated housewives can turn into the Misery Nurse later in life. Young people tend to think marriage is about feelings, sex, fun...it's so much more than that. Who you marry is the most important decision of your life, so choose wisely. I saw a quote..something like..The love of your life is not a person, it's an experience.

    • @johnboy6594

      65 years old and 30 years married.. A bad marriage will break you. A good marriage will make you.. Looks melt away, sex melts away as do many other things. Dont buy the car for the pretty paint job. Buy for the good reviews on the Engine and Transmission.

    Lewis, I have been watching you for years. You just said ,” I barely graduated so don’t know how I got here”. She’s so correct about likability, and you have an A plus in that. You make me feel so relaxed , your voice almost casts a spell on your listeners. You’re so naturally charming. I’m guessing you were born that way. The skills you have acquired in interviewing are stunning! Not only do you ask the best questions and listen, but you sum up what you heard and make sure that we, the listeners, understand what’s been said. I send you a huge hug of thanks for all your greatness and kindness

I don't consider myself wealthy yet or even rich, but my friends are. I get to sit Courtside at NBA games for free. You know what's talked about during time-outs? Being truthful, I had never heard of Vivian before today. After watching this, not only am I immediately ordering her book I have become one of her biggest fans!! This was by far the absolute BEST INTERVIEW podcast I have seen on RUclips; anywhere for that matter for people in their 20’s!!! The way the two of you connected and talked with such comfort and ease really draws the audience in. The raw honesty is unbelievablyrefreshing! If there is anyway that I can help promote this and get this out there in front of that group of people - ( I wish it was there when I was younger!!) please let me; I want to help them before its too late. There are far too many kids out there that are chasing the “Kardashian Deeam” They are virtually clueless about real world survival and how to manage it!

    It seems that several people pointed out the negative or located the flaws, but you gotta give it up to her, she took her time to explain and give practical examples of what she was talking about and at least helped you figure out how to connect the dots pertaining to your particular situation and the message was delivered with kindness. This was amazing, it was simplistic and easily comprehendible….

      These so-called financial experts keep demonizing rich people who just want to enjoy looking good and buying things they enjoy wearing no matter how expensive. They’re always “Oh the real rich people always drrss like poor people.” Ummmm have you been around old rich Arabian royal family members, lil girl? There is absolutely nothing wrong with rich people looking rich, wearing expensive clothes or jewelry if they enjoy wearing them because they can”. Stop hating on rich people who enjoy dressing themselves up 🤔 And when she started talking about investing your retirement money in mutual funds & index fundS - I’m outta here. Be careful what you advise young girl, it might ruin your viewers retirement. Tsk, tsk!

      @@ISEEKSPACE - There is an emotional part to this issue - and that part is called loneliness - brought on by isolation / relationships can be very demanding, because of expectations - and when a person lives on a small income - it’s very difficult to weigh the pros and cons , of even pursuing that relationship - unless that person wants the same things in life as you do - and in my own case - I settled for loneliness - rather than poverty…
      Life is full of difficult and hard choices - but the accumulation of wealth is easier said than done - just my own experiences…😎

    Absolutely my favorite interview ever. I am 20 and I started my retirement and my mom judges me for it. I try to convince her to get a plan of her own but she thinks its a waste of time. And know I'm starting to stress of the financial burden to take care of her because she's going to retire in about tens years and I truly believe time fly. Look how fast 2023 finished

      You can make all possible financially precautions for your retirement in your 20’s but you literally have zero clue how world will change till then. With every decade is getting more and more unpredictable. We’re closer than ever to the WWIII. Live and enjoy life as long as you can. Stop stressing about future decades in advance. It’s a waste of precious time.

      Recommend you follow the Money Guys Financial Order of Operations.
      Much more straightforward versus Vivian being all over the place. She is right, becoming a millionaire is easy once you tailor a strategy for your dream life.
      There are however steps for the underdog to become a multimillionaire.
      Best of luck!

    In October 2023, after saving for a year, I went on a luxury holiday to Seychelles which cost more than my car. The experience I had was unforgettable and now, I look at holidays so differently. Being around wealth and wealthy people makes a big difference to how you view wealth.
