YES I'VE SEEN THIS SEVERAL YEARS AGO, I HAVE THE 48" VERSION I USE BEHIND MY QUAD TO DO THE DIRT ROAD AND DRIVEWAYS. ALSO HAVE THE ATTACHMENT FOR THE HORSE ARENA. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT TOOL!
Hi Douglas! You must have our Gravel Rascal Pro (ruclips.net/video/GLN_H2rIx6M/видео.html). It turns any ATV/UTV into a workhorse on gravel drives or horse arenas. Glad you like it! -- Matt
Hey Josh I just wanted to thank you and mrs. Stoney Ridge 4 the video because I enjoyed it and it's always nice to see her beside you working together woo and you have a nice bless it Happy Father's Day tomorrow take a load off you deserve it enjoy yourself
I have a TR3 that I used to build and now maintain my horse riding arena. I'm looking into restoring gravel driveways and parking lots as well as other landscaping tasks. What do you charge for your services?
Keep up the good work kids. Love your attitudes and your work ethic. I'm nearly 79 and your videos remind me of difficult work back in ohio in the 60's without all the machinery we're no able to use. santa gary in pagosa springs, colorado
You all did a great great job on that piece of land.I always wanted to be a farmer, instead I became a carpenter.did it for 40 year's now retired but still fairly young might try it have nothing but time.
I enjoy your video's i have learned a few things and even liked when you struggle , it m makes your a real person with failures and fixes . It was good to Mrs. Stoney Ridge today ( but keeping her safe is priority ) though she works a lot it always good to see her from time to time and that she works as hard as you do to get to where you want the farm to be. Thanks for the content.
We used a disc harrowing plow to break up the clumps and grade all at once. The issue would be the rocks and sticks. The only rake I remember us using was the hay rake. I remember picking up rocks and throwing them into a wagon behind a tractor that was taken and dumped elsewhere. That was the kid's job, 5 of us, but that was common in the 50s. Sticks were gathered and piled on the "burn pile".
Great to see the wife ..that land is starting to come together bud looking good and that .attachment is working nice and a great peice to have ..godbless bud
We were very poor farmers growing up. We used a big piece of chain link fence with logs on it for weight. We pulled it with the old ford 1 ton . One of us boys would ride the fence and pick up the large stones and brush, piled it up on the fence until it was too much. Then we loaded it in the truck. Wash rinse and repeat. We would use broadcast spreaders and walked . Miles and miles casting seed. Your method sure looks easier.
thanks for sharing, I was doing research on leveling small patches and grassy areas and was going to go with the DR products but after looking at your video, made me look and find a best tool for my property. I just order the rascal for my use.
Hey farmer Josh. Just wanted to say thanks for the videos and for the kind of content you put out. I like being able to sit down and watch your videos with my 4 year old son. He asks me almost everyday to put on "farmer josh videos". His name is Riley and we live in New brunswick, canada.
I'm about 2 hours SE of you and I really hope you didn't get the rain we did last night. Wow, I've not seen it rain that hard in a very long time. Flash flooding etc.
Now that Mrs. Stoney Ridge Farmer is the breadwinner you can't tease her anymore!! From now on it's yes mam, yes mam, yes mam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ha Ha Ha good luck!!
"Concentric Circles" - I could not agree more. We have wild hogs that tear up part of our property, and I am looking at trying to smooth out the grass areas. The box blade is not really going to do it - we are on a sand ground, and this tool might be too big for my L3901 tractor, but a lift-able drag harrow should get me close to smooth... it would be totally level, but much smoother is good. I am going to have to take the grass down to sand, but the aggressive, and the less aggressive tine drag effort should help. Flipping the drag over, with tines up, should allow me to smooth everything out very well... I loved what I see in this video though... excellent work! Dropping a LIKE on your video, smashing the big red button of love as well! Watching and Supporting!
I think that's the most Mrs. Stoney Ridge has ever said in a video! I know she's camera shy, but she shouldn't be (Easier said than done, I know. I hate cameras too!). It was great to hear some actual thoughts from her.
looks great for small plots on small tractors on that kind of hill. the last we did I ran a D5 with a root rake over it first and then a double disc and a roller
I'm not sure about anybody else. But I can watch you driving in circles all day. How did you make out with all that rain down south this past week. My uncle doesn't live to far and he got almost 4 inches.
How nice it is see Mrs. Stoney Ridge on stage. May I suggest you teach her how to operate some machinery, she could sit and drive, you could pick up the sticks, etc, >) Love what you guys do, makes me wish I was younger and could embark on such an exciting challenge.
I love hearing this from folks....remember she's 5 foot 2 and 105lbs. She cannot operate these tractors safely. We will have a subcompact tractor at some point and she's gonna be all over it....but she can't even reach the pedals....and we've ran a test...if she can hold down the clutch for 90 seconds she can drive it....she can't buddy. Don't take for granted that this doesn't take a high amount of skill, strength and dexterity....it's not like driving the family car. Safety is our foremost concern....it's simply not safe no matter what anyone says....she also knows this
Understand completely, my comment mostly in jest. I know challenged height, my wife is about 2" shorter than Mrs. Stoney Ridge. I thank you for your response.
Eat good!!! There's nothing better that a good ole fashioned meat n taters meal for evening suppers & afternoon dinners. . . . .WOOOOOOOO😀. . . . Tractor safe, ya'll🚜🚜🚜
Hey Josh is there any. Hance you could take it to a neighbor's and get footage of it on rough dried mud around a winter feeding pad for cattle? It looks good but I'm curious if it could handle that. It be dang handy if so!
Looks like it takes a LOT of money to farm like this - all of the equipment / tractors n' such! I was thinking of trying a small cheapo operation - maybe raise some free range chickens to sell to local restaurants and grow some veggies w/o fertilizer / chemicals stuff. These videos are really neat and cool - have learned a lot from them! 🇺🇸 😁........🍺
Yes....and basically take sand and send it in for analysis and that's what we have....so 17-17-17 has been the best option on the farm for gettting started with nutrient...our ph is around 4...so we know we need lime. This will be the last time we have to fertilize this area...the rest will be manure
i watch and enjoy all your videos. i also see how many old tractors you have, it's none of my business, but you should sell some of the stuff you really don't need, and sell your tractor, and buy one with a enclosure with AC and heat, and a little more power. you do a lot of work with attachments, and it would be worth the money
Josh, Very seriously considering a TR3 E Property model from ABI. My only concern is how it will do on a heavily sodded field. I have an old Christmas tree farm up north of you in Floyd. All the trees were jerked out of the ground and grass planted without filling the holes left by the root balls coming up. We acquired the property several years after that and mowing hay will jar your fillings lose as you hit those holes every few feet. In your opinion will the TR3 allow us to smooth the land up without the use of other equipment? Thanks, Wade
you need a load of fill dirt and a bucket my brotha...start filling in holes and smooth over with the bucket. TR3 will also smooth...just need to fill in them holes first...don't use rippers on tr3 rake...and overfill the holes. Might take a few years of fixing
i went to Tractor supply to get egg layers and i did but they are now 10 weeks old and they look like broiler chickens (either a leghorn or a cornish x) and they don't eat tons of food like a broiler would and i want to raise them as a egg layer and i wanted to know if you could give me some tips to help keep them healthy . thank you
I had an 8 ft TR3 with a edge cutter option, and from a usage vs price, pretty much worthless without a hydraulic center link unless you like hopping up and down the tractor I was forever trying to get the right angle. You would have been better off with a land plane and an old cultumulcher especially with rain coming. But I see you do a lot of demos for ABI so hope they discounted it and you have better luck than I
Glad you are reaching your goal at the farm. This must be a serious part as Mrs came out and got dirty right with you. Are you that tall or is the Mrs that vertically challenged.

Good video. I have had my TR 3 for several years and get a lot of work restoring gravel driveways and parking lots. It does a great job!
Thanks for the shout out, Ken! Glad the TR3 is helping you tackle your gravel projects. Take care! -- Matt

Josh you go into SO much detail on the equipment you use brotha! Thanks for the effort you put into these videos.
Great video Josh and Mrs Stoney Ridge
You all did a great great job on that piece of land.I always wanted to be a farmer, instead I became a carpenter.did it for 40 year's now retired but still fairly young might try it have nothing but time.
Looks like it works well! If you want something that will grow quickly, annual or perennial rye will sprout in 7 days with proper watering/rain.

I’ve wanted one of those for years now but just cant afford it. Glad to see someone actually use it
I just messaged them! I'm curious
How much do they quote?
What’s it called
Looks to be a great tools; saves you hooking up, setting and re-setting multiple heavy attachments. Did a good job 👍🏻

I came across this company a few weeks ago. This looks legit. Really makes it smooth.

We have the sr3 attachment with 6” hydraulic rippers for our track loaders and it’s a game changer!!

Tools to make your life easier 👍👍
Could you imagine having to do that by hand 😬
Have a good day 👍👍👍
buddy...that's what we did when we first moved up here....all by hand...it was tough!
just received my TR3 Rake the other week cant wait to put it to use.
It's cool to see this attachment in action working in my type of jobs
thank you guys for the upload time and the vid , i was so bored thank you for saving my life hahaha
You are always so enthusiastic, I love it.
I'm about 2 hours SE of you and I really hope you didn't get the rain we did last night. Wow, I've not seen it rain that hard in a very long time. Flash flooding etc.
We've been very lucky on this one...just one downpour but it really didn't harm anything...seed is already greening up
I have used mine on the driveway
It has tilled my garden as well
I’ve been waiting for this video while wondering about the various rain forecasts - timing is everything.
Now that Mrs. Stoney Ridge Farmer is the breadwinner you can't tease her anymore!! From now on it's yes mam, yes mam, yes mam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ha Ha Ha good luck!!
It will all look better once grass and everything you plant comes up.
Very nice, we did it the hard way years ago for a 2 acre garden

Thanks for the shout out, Casey! Glad your SR3 is helping you get your work done. 💪🏼 -- Matt

I think the power rake on your Ventrac would do an awesome job of preparing your seedbed.

Great video guys great to see Mrs stoney man lol 😂

Hello
I'm from India
Happy to see your farming..
Good luck bro.

Nice implement 👍

That thing is awesome! I'm working on converting, a 20 acre row crop field to pasture. This may be the tool, I've been looking for! Thanks Josh!
Greg Judy has a great video about how he's done that to multiple spent soybean fields by unrolling hay for his cattle. No heavy equipment needed.
Thank You for the great demonstration
Great attachment! Love it!
You can also drag around a wooden pallet with concrete blocks inside .
yep that's a great way to spread nails around your property lol
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer Some people can't afford a $40,000 Tractor and a $3000 attachment . Stay humble my friend !
Paul Bunyan call, and he wants his comb back, LOL
Josh, an excellent overview of the TR 3 rake. It did an awesome job. Looks great.
Great info and I don't even farm!! Love this tube channel 👍🔥
Like this leveling tool . That is a lot of work
Good video Josh looking good brother
Great video awesome information
Thank you for sharing
Enjoy watching your video
It does work great!!
Wow, I can see thats definitely a must have implement "tool" for landscaping. Very heavy duty and well made. Great job. Thanks for the video.
Glad you liked it!
Hi...... Thank you 🎥👍👍👍
I need that. Can there still be grass growing and this still work?
Good to see ya Mrs Stoney
Pretty cool piece of equipment.
Love my TR3
I run a 14ft disk and 20ft harrow gator with no problem with the same tractor
Uh huh, we had a slight chance of rain last night. It started at 8PM and ended at 4AM. 1.8 inches.
I hope you get what you need.
Looking amazing.
Looks good.
Hey Josh is there any. Hance you could take it to a neighbor's and get footage of it on rough dried mud around a winter feeding pad for cattle? It looks good but I'm curious if it could handle that. It be dang handy if so!

Top show again ❤️👍🏴🇬🇧🆒🇺🇸👌🏼
Ol' Deere handled it 👍
she was heating up for sure...tough implement on that tractor
Great video!
Why are some people so mean and dislike the video. If people don’t like it they shouldn’t subscribe to it. Bunch of haters.
lol...God tests us every day
WOOOOOO! 🇺🇸 THAT WORKS GREAT IT REALLY WORKED 🇺🇸
Add a small amount of dicon radish in ur drill. Helps bring up nutrients and water penetration.
How old is Mrs Stoney Ridge? 18? LOL
Great video!
Both hard at it.
Hey, that thing works GREAT, can I borrow it ?
We'd be happy to hook you up with one of your own. 😉 Glad you like the looks of the TR3! -- Matt
lol
Find any arrowheads in that field?👍🇺🇸
not one...since I bought the farm and every inch of soil has been exposed at one time or another! Darn it!
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer Darn it is right. I would have bet twenty bucks there would be some there👍🇺🇸
Just wondering if you ever did a soil analysis at all to know what it needs?

Were you going to put the cabin when you build it
That's looking good mate what's your annual rain fall there
Josh, Does the TR3 breakup the dirt clods or just sift them under the surface of the fines, similar to floating a concrete surface?
breaks most of them up...if theyre too hard it drags them to the "brushpile"
