    I live in San Diego so I’m about to give you some tips.
    If you want to catch the spotted bay bass then use swimbaits.
    If you want to catch halibutus Berkley swimming mullet grubs or live sardines, live sardines will also catch kelp bass, spotted bay bass, barred San bass and more species
    But if you want to catch mackerel then use spoons
    For rays use squid

    Just to let u know that the trigger fish is also known as a crosshatch triggerfish and is worth like $800-1300 in the aquarium hobby. I love aquariums and fishing and know that you might be planning to set one up at one point. I would love to help. Awesome catch!!

    Funny I watched this video years ago and just rediscovered it today. I just fished in the exact same part of Mission Bay for the first time a month ago so it’s crazy seeing you fish in the same place. Saw tons of opaleye, some nice size spotted sand bass, and a round ray but couldn’t even get a bite. Used the same bait coincidentally too so I don’t know how you managed to catch so many fish.

  • @boston_8198
    @boston_8198 5 лет назад +1

    That trigger fish you caught is actually called a crosshatch trigger fish. They are actually sold as fish for reef tanks and saltwater fishtanks And cost upwards of 600 to 900 dollars..
