this is so beautiful yet so sad. how could anyone let this beautiful old place just sit and die. it makes me want to cry. if I were very rich I would want to save all these homes. its hard to see them in this run down manner. I thank you for showing us the beauty still left in these homes
It makes me want to cry as well! It's so sad but the beauty in this place was amazing. I would want to save all these homes as well if I had the money.
It sadly don't look like that today its in a right state the son has all the money in the world he has no interest in letting any of it go the day will finally come when that house will have to be demolished with everything in it It's been like that for 31 years now
I just Hate that these houses with their furnishings are slowly rotting away!! But I do love seeing them and wishing someone would come along and save them, I just have to block out the fact that they won't. Just seeing it and without really thinking, there at least 5 or 6 things I'd Love to have. Thanks for showing us.
Betty Newton. That's how I feel too. I love antiques, & those old dressers in there are some I've never seen before. Such a shame for all that to just one day rot away.
I'll never understand why family leaves such riches behind....so much beautiful furniture, old dishes, the old medicine bottles, and I'm certain there's more than a few first edition books. If the homeowner had no relatives, one would think the town/state would take possession. So sad....
The house has been like this for 31 years the son lives right next door to it most people who get in it get escorted off the land within minutes Today the place has fences and razor wire around it he is determined to let that place rot till in the end its demolished with everything inside it being destroyed with the demolishment sadly the guy is loaded
the old phonograph would be a museum piece and as for them books in the library, I would love to delve into them and see what they are about. The range stove is a masterpiece. Thanks for taking the time to upload this video, very very interesting :) keep up the good work Michelle.
A great video..a shame that all those antiques are just going to waste & rot away in there. Some of the most beautiful old dressers in there I've ever seen.
Everything in that house will get destroyed with the house the day it gets finally demolished The son has enough money by the looks of it thats why its all been left in there Today half the place is un-accessible due to rot collapse and damp and dry rot its basically falling apart sadly
That's a beautiful shot @ 3:10. Like a tribute to ?? generations. Thatcher in one headline, and a younger Queen Elizabeth in another, looking like she did c 1960 ish, with the old magazines and commemorative Wedding of the Century tea tins all around.
The son has no interest in saving it he has all the money he needs from when his father the owner died So has left it to rot and everything inside it as well
How sad..I bet this place was very beautiful back when the family lived there..and such a historic story. Rooms look so sad like the whole place is dying. Can it be repaired ?
The son of the owner lives very close to the property its worse now as the stairs n landings have come down plus people have ransacked the library and floors have collapsed The son has no interest in saving it he basically shut the door of it after his father died some 30 years back and left it to rot
i can see why the owner was so possessive of this place, the things in there are so old they would sell for a lot of money, but still no reason for him to be so aggressive.
Probably loaded the son sadly didn't need the money from the stuff inside and the value the place once was so will leave it to rot One day the place will be destroyed with everything in it probably after more of the floors fall in sadly
The most important restoration project would be replacing the worn roof, the remainder of the repairs can be done at a later date. A damaged roof can lead to mold and wet plaster with damaged walls and ceilings not to mention rotting floors.
As of 2019 the place is in even worse state now The son who owns it has no interest in saving it hes waiting for it to collapse Been like that for a good 30 years apparently nobody is getting stuff out of there when it finally gets demolished everything will be destroyed with it sadly I can only think he does not need the money these days that's why its in the state it is
About 70% of the videos on my channel are re-uploads from the late Lisa Stone's channel (my mother) with the photos being upto 10 years old like these photos from Berkyn Manor (which I heard is a right mess now) so I don't know the current status of these places. Sorry.
The guy died who owned it The son lives next door to it he just shut the door to the place 30 years back and left it to rot The classic case of more money than sense sadly
Wow this place has really gone downhill in the last 3 to 4 years you cant get round half of it now due to the stairs n landings falling away from the walls
Wow. Very beautiful home. ❤️

Nice exploration, very beautiful castle !
Just great ! Awesome
Amazing all the things one accumulates over time only to be left behind.

The sad part is I wonder how long those cherished possessions will be there before someone takes them to sell at an antique store :-(
The house has been like this for 31 years the son lives right next door to it most people who get in it get escorted off the land within minutes Today the place has fences and razor wire around it he is determined to let that place rot till in the end its demolished with everything inside it being destroyed with the demolishment sadly the guy is loaded
I found your channel now sub to this hate seeing beautiful places just left to rot love this vid many thanks Michelle.

A estas alturas ya de be estar peor que hermoso era!!
so interesting ... thanks
All I can say is, WoW!
Oh, to be wealthy, wealthy, wealthy and able to afford the cost of repairing and redecorating these beautiful old homes.
A woman did it with Steep Park House, so it's not too late.

Just WOW!
such a beautiful relic had to amount to such disparity. It looks so grand. why won't people restore these beauties.
The son has no interest in saving it he has all the money he needs from when his father the owner died So has left it to rot and everything inside it as well
Your photos are beautiful and appear to be very high quality. What camera did you use, and what settings? (The place is beautiful, too.)
How sad..I bet this place was very beautiful back when the family lived there..and such a historic story. Rooms look so sad like the whole place is dying. Can it be repaired ?

Such a shame... so many beautiful things that could be restored just rotting away

Lovely work Michelle! These "Derelict" Homes/Manors/Chateaux's, .... Can they be bought? Or are they all locked up with inheritance/debt/legal issues?

LOOK AT ALL THOSE BEAUTIFUL PIECES OF FURNITURE JUST ROTTING AWAY!!!!SO SAD!
amazing just amazing it really gets you thinking about a place when its left like this! Is it haunted?
Must visit this place, any tips?
Beautiful home, is there no one to take care of it or hand it over to the state?
+timmi cat Oh there is, the owner is just a massive douchebag
This in 2015? nice channel by the way.
No...it was about 2010 or a bit before.
These must have been taken a while ago..no heras fence round the house. Excellent photos Michelle - check out my videos of me getting busted here :)
Go you! I'm so sad this house is in the state it's in. My now deceased partner was born there in 1961. Such a waste of a lovely building.
Класс!✌👍👍👍👍👍
What Country is this England?
Yes.
The question I make for this situation: why happened?
The guy died who owned it The son lives next door to it he just shut the door to the place 30 years back and left it to rot The classic case of more money than sense sadly
Wow this place has really gone downhill in the last 3 to 4 years you cant get round half of it now due to the stairs n landings falling away from the walls
It's 2021 see photos of the place last week its a pile of mould and rott now 8 years ago owers say they was doing it up yeah right
too sad...
