You saved me some minutes, i never could get back.
he lives near me, he`s an arse.
HE WONT STOP GOD DAMN IT
@@freqeist I bet he doesn't use the wrong apostrophe though.
When bob started mentioning names from the show I was expecting names like sergeant bytheway and Andy cheeseman etc haha
What Cheesey? Snipers Dream?
It’s *Sargent,
And *Gary Cheeseman
by the way
@@DigitalDaffodil cool thanks so much
@@drowningfishes111 😉
The reason he was called cheesy was his mum use to give him a cheese slice when we went round the shops, she thought is was good for his spots
Steve Coogan and Bob Mortimer together is what my dreams are made of.
top northern lads tbh
Tell me, are they in the room with you now? 😊
All 3 of them look really happy and relaxed. Maybe it helps that they're good friends but there's a twinkle in their eyes that makes them look so happy and carefree. Lovely to see
This is comedy gold. The 2 best comedians we have ever had.
Well, that's subjective
Nope
ahhhh when the "comedy gold" line appears it's either the underwhelming utterance of AI or low-IQ
Thanks for uploading this! Love anything that includes Steve Coogan. 😍
Omg two of my favorite people on Earth, but def Bob is number one. He is so young and adorable there
Bob is heartbreakingly sweet and handsome. He's lovely!
Episode aired May 20, 2005 on BBC1
Steve Coogan (b.Oct 1965) was 39
Bob Mortimer (b. 23 May 1959) was 46.
Gordon Ramsey (b. Nov 1966) was 38.
Jonathan Ross (b. Nov 1960) was 44.
Thankyou very much. I was wondering when this was broadcast.
Whoah. Steve's not much older here than I am now. I was 15 when it aired.
Thanks, I’m obsessed with ages and compare to my own age, I’m 51 now and look younger than all on here 🤔
Bob is just so naturally funny , he doesn't even have to try
Hes a very intelligent man also.
Leave him alone, I adore him!
@@lizfox4624 excuse me?
hes a legend, though i know many like him

Incredible how the world has changed in 15 odd years
So true
When he said the name of the show i really thought it was gonna be monkey tennis 🤣
Well if ITV won't do it Sky will.
"You know what, I wish I was dead" had ME dead
As other comments say, its true that Steve hardly does any impressions in the clip, but I havent laughed so hard for ages. The face. Everything about that was hilarious !
Are you related to Jack Dee? With his face like and abandoned handrail?
It's a reference to Ross's comment when Coogan takes on the face of his northern gay bloke character. He finds it scary. Do pay attention.
Steve Coogan Won't START Doing Impressions - would be a lot more truthful title
I love this kind of thing.
2005 "when are you bringing Alan Partridge back?"
2021 "so how many Alan Partridge projects have you done this year so far?"
moooaaarrrr!
Bob is a legend :)
Stole the show, as ever.
This is like a fever dream hahaha
Yet another duo who’d I’d love to spend a few hours in the pub. 🍻 🍺😂
I feel that in every clip of a Jonathan Ross show in RUclipss, Gordon Ramsay is in the back room. What's going on there?
🤣🙌
He'll jump at any chance to be on TV?
I don't think he's on the show, they just sublet the room to him. That's his bedroom.
You cook overblown food, Gordon. It isn't so important that you should be on TV as much as you are.
He'll be released when his family pay up the ransom and not a fucking second before.
Steve when he still had his Northern accent 🤣😂
Holy sht, always thought he had that Alan accent he has now
Oh god that face. Excellent 🤣🤣
Love both of them
Oh god, I loooove both these men. Comedic genius, two of the absolute funniest men to come out of GB
I love me some Coogan but really love me some Bob, remember they where only standard fireworks :)
I remember that one
That's a Dalek😂😂😂😂
Real bobs autobiography. Brilliant.
I met Steve Coogan briefly at the KINGS HEAD ISLINGTON he was very happy because he had just landed a job on an unknown new show as an impressionist it was called SPITTING IMAGE and launched his career.
Two of the most talented and funny people on the planet. And Jonathon Ross.
😂
Why not write the original air date? I know it's not 2021, but why do I have to guess?
It's 2005
Just laughed my bollocks off
Bob Mortimer is so handsome 💟
My god .. that laugh from Steve was SO Stan Laurel, right at the end of this. How many years before Stan and Ollie.
the 00s: 'hahahahaha gay'
Love Bob and Steve!
The subtitles say Steve Cougar 😂😂
Steve should do a Sit Com called The Partridge Family - maybe from Alan's childhood days right up to today ? :)

You've already said that.
@@abegarfield7638 Already said what ?
The best thing is you’ll be able to enjoy it for the first time over and over again.
Thanks for sharing 😬
Steve snortin rails hahaha
Yeah, he does roughly one impression of Frank Spenser.
More like Steve Coogan barely does any impressions...
This is why Jonathan Ross has faded into obscurity amongst interviewers/chatshow hosts. Imagine having Steve Coogan and Bob Mortimer on your show and getting THAT awkward, uncomfortable performance out of them.
10 minutes of conversation with two absolute legends of British comedy - this should have been priceless television. What we actually got was Steve Coogan being pressured into doing 20-year-old material that he feels uncomfortable doing, and Bob Mortimer being more or less ignored.
100% waste of everyone's time.
Chatty chatty bang bang…… lovely stuff great banter it really is….
Jonathan Ross makes every interview awkward in my opinion. He seems to like putting his guests on the back foot. I love Bob Mortimer, and I know he's suffered with depression in the past. I hope he knows how beloved he is by people. I definitely recommend watching Catterick. It's really funny.
I’ve only ever seen Jim Carey contort his face like that before! Now I appreciate Steve Coogan a level more 😄👌
Rowen Atkinson?
@@onesong2001 yeah he’s pretty flexible too 🤣
But without the aid of Phil Cool's green torchlight
Personal space guys. That couch still has some space to spare ;)
Sounded like JR in the intro said Steve Cougar
"Always end on a high, hey?"
Car crash interview.
0:52 that should have got a laugh! 😂
Such amazing talent both of them. So sad though with what bob said about his kids and suicide , saying it flippantly as all these years ago this topic wasn’t talked about, that was a hidden cry for help what he said as we know years later Bob talked about his deep depression, but luckily has Whitehouse to go fishing with 🤗😘
Misleading caption. I wanted to see a video of Steve doing loads of impressions.
Catterick is f'ing brill...id totally forgot about it
Coogan manages to bring an empty glass out with him
Anyone know when this was first aired?
2005. Monkey Trousers died a premature death after 5 episodes with ITV not even bothering to show all the episodes made. I quite liked Bob's estate agent who said "I don't know" to every questioon
@@fightthestate2767 Thank you!
Bob Mortimer rescues this
It's actually criminal how many people haven't seen or even heard of Monkey Trousers. Catterick was also superb. Actually anything with Bob Mortimer or Steve Coogan is brilliant.
It petered out despite it’s promise . The cast was top drawer . The Ricky Tomlinson falconing sketch & the ladder sketch were so funny :) just a bit meh overall
I miss the days when Jonathan would chat to one guest (or pair in this case) in depth for 10-12 minutes, rather than the group chat format he does now where all five-six guests are on at the same time doing a circle of bite size anecdotes.
Ever since the Andrew Sachs thing I've always thought "twat" when I look at 'Wossy'.
It was satire that got a bit out of hand. We've all made mistakes and said and done things we regret. Christ get a grip
How old is this particular episode plse?
Obviously very old, it was before the BBC sacked him.
From the inception of his career I have called Steve a comic genius
He did *ONE* IMPRESSION.
ONE!!!
@@andrewross1767 Quite LITERALLY!
The man cannot STOP! One impression every 12 minutes or so, the man is addicted and he needs help - SERIOUS HELP, NOW!
I feel robbed. There's like 10 seconds of impressions in this video
“Non stop impressions” now means 2.
It’s sort of the same when I say to my wife “well do it all night long” … 2mins
Great interview.
Big fan of Bob and Steve.
Not sure the circus stevedore.
Seeing Alan Partridge live in May 2022.
If you are interested.
Like.
Monkey Trousers had so much potential, such a shame that it ended up being so toned down for the ITV audience. You can bet it would have been a bit more daring if it had been on the BBC or Channel 4.
....by which you mean, Steve Coogan does one impression for 1.5 seconds?
Steve Coogan did an impression.
Wazor sharp wit.
Jonathan Ross hasn't got the interviewer's knack of reading the guest to see that they have more to say, so there's always jarring interruptions.
He's such an unlikely presenter/interviewer, you have to wonder how the hell he got a foot in the door.
@@David-cm4ok the fact that he awways dwesses immaculately, he's bwash, quacks like a duck, and has a hot wife
@@gurrrn1102 she is gorgeous.
what year is this from?
This is from a very old interview, there's no date on the description
Bizarre uncomfortable interview…
I thought the discomfort would probably pass quickly, but it was like trying to piss out a kidney stone. The only impression I got from Steve Coogan is that he and Jonathan Ross don't much like each other. oh, and he did that Frank Spencer impression too.
Coogan looks like a young Griff Rhys Jones? I bet Ross couldn't pick out a dwarf in line of Tiller girls.
what year was this
2005
@@matthewperris Thank you
Knowing me Jonathan Ross, knowing you Steve coogan, a-ha
A-ha!
The difference between. J ross and Graham norton here is plane to see, jonny doesnt shut up trying and failing to be funny and Graham just let's his guests roll and has a hilarious time.
I've never found Steve Coogan funny, but as a serious actor, he's brilliant. Outstanding in Philomena and fantastic as Stan Laurel in Stan & Ollie. Quality impressionist too.
I like Steve's shtick. I think hes an acquired taste.
Are…you…Steve Coogan?
@Martin Brody…recently he played a police detective in a very dramatic story. I agree, his drama is better than his comedy. But he is multi-faceted.
Coogan's Mid Morning Matters is a high watermark in British comedy.
@@MartinHiggins1972 I agree with you 100%. Mid Morning Matters is such a highly concentrated execution of characterisation and comedy timing etc. It's brilliant.
Somebody sort Steve’s shirt out please?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Steve should of got Ross to smell his cheese
I don't remember this show at all. But yeah it was on ITV.
When was this first aired?
They both look really young here.
It must have been years ago
Jonathan Ross mentioned their show, Monkey Trousers. It came out in 2005. Lordy, I can’t believe that was 16 years ago.

@@Stellaluna88 Thank you.
I wish Coogan had done an impression of the host's tie.

love the face munching and gurn
Jonathan Ross talks too much and doesn’t let his guests talk !
1. 1 impression. Enjoy
It defeats the object when you have to go through 11 minutes to find the bit you like. Do a Graham Norton and have the clip in 3 minute pieces
