I do really enjoy this game. I love the tension one feels when a single mistake can have the most dire consequences and lead to a HUGE chunk of life lost. I think the more slow paced combat gives one consideration for their plan of action, but sometimes you still mash it out. I guess my only criticisms of this game are the netcode (which I think everyone knows about and has been beaten to death) and the lack of single player features. I know fighting games are built pretty heavily on the multiplayer component, but it's always nice to have something for when the internet goes out. Either way, I'm happy Baiken has brought a heavy interest back to this great game.
it's a shame because Ghosts were nowhere near as good a feature as we were promised, and ther really isn't much besides the Story mode as for the Netcode, at least they managed to do something to improve netplay in the Series X/S release, which is separate from the Xbox One version, as I've been able to play with US and Japanese players consistently, but no one really knows about it, and Max refused to give it a shot on stream, so the game continues to struggle on both offline and online fronts
Samsho is indeed lacking in single player content, but the gameplay is so much fun In terms of the online, the Xbox Series X|S version has way better netcode than the others, so much that competitive japanese players are moving from PS4 to the it

It's cool seeing Max enjoy and show off the fun of a pure fighting game that's focused on decision-making instead of crazy movement and broken bullcrap offense. As someone who doesn't enjoy most fighting games of the last decade, precisely because they bottleneck players into aggressive play and outright punish blocking, pushing away people like me, I want more games like this but with great netcode.

If you get disarmed as baiken, your best option is to land a jumping kick on the opponent--this gives you a knockdown, so you have a safer opportunity to grab your weapon.
Opening scene to video with Max playing Waifu Baiken is so hard core in samurai shodown then the theme kick in... Oh yeah baby Let's Go. This is definitely the prelude to getting baiken in strive. Little fun fact if you get your opponent down in health enough in the second round and finish them with a heavy attack they will split in half.

Ok, I'm gonna say it. Playing on Parsec (at least Samsho) is a good experience for the host, but the guests have unplayable delay anyway. It's easy to notice how everyone played horribly here due to it.
it's a shame that Max refused to give the Xbox Series version a shot when chat told him that it runs better online, which it does as I have witnessed it's still delay and it can have some hiccups but it's far more consistent and way more playable than what the last gen versions are stuck with
When I played Xrd DBFZ and Under Night using Parsec with my friend with him as the host the delay was pretty manageable for me. Idk if it’s just SamSho but I’ve never had a problem using parsec for these games.

she's an amputee. Fighting games, to keep animation consistency for actually reading what moves your opponent is doing (for example, seeing if Baiken who is one armed is going for a medium or a heavy), tend to just flip the sprite or model when you turn around.
