- Thought it would be fun to go through the comments on my infinite combo video. Some criticism and lots of suggestions for stuff I didn't include. Which is great because I get to do some of them in this video, so thank you everyone!

Hey everyone, apologies that it's been a while since the last video. I've been working on this for over a month.
I hope anyone whose comment I included isn't offended. It's all in good fun and I'm happy anyone cares enough to take the time to comment anyway. Positive or negative, I appreciate it! It's probably worth noting that the TAS comments are probably just from people unfamiliar with this channel, or not aware of whats actually happening in some of the clips, so it can definitely be forgiven.

People commenting "TAS" probably haven't seen your videos of doing insane combos one handed and other shenanigans, or they really wouldn't say that ^^

Some people tend to forget that fighting games can be pretty damn janky.
Some nostalgic fanboys tend to forget that almost all of their childhood fgs were pretty janky, and only point to others' games.

It's impossible to please some people. Good on you for taking it in stride.
People see a combo that isn't as simple as selecting the character and hitting buttons and instantly call it out as fake or TAS only. Sometimes things just take a bit more work than surface level knowledge to comprehend. That being said though, Desk, you make outstanding fighting game videos and are honestly my favorite fighting game channel out there. Always looking forward to uploads from you and you never disappoint.

You can tell these people weren’t here when Biffotasty had the handcam on. TAS is an insult to how skilled this man has been for YEARS!

The handcam vids are my favorite, because i don't always learn the animations for what buttons and it helps me understand what's being done.

I loved this "response" type of video, that seems to be a different idea in the channel. Also because it gave another golden opportunity to make varied fg content, which became unfortunately rare in the channel. But the actual possibilities of content are large and practically endless since your knowledge and skills go so much beyond Capcom fgs and the channel covers old and new stuff. That is an uncommon and special range of fg ability in the internet, and deserves to be displayed more often in my opinion. If only your audience wasnt too fixated into Capcom fgs (or more exactly only SF, Marvel and CvS)...

I'd really love to see you give the Sabertooth Infinite from MvC2 a shot. I don't really care which teammates you pick or who you pick for the enemy team on that note.
Some MvC2 ones can be way more impressive than that though, some characters like Psylocke have very complex air to air juggle infinites (I think KhaosVision made them.)

If people don't have talent they go on the internet and dump on other people that have cultivated real skills. Unfortunately the only skill they choose to train is running their mouth and using those keyboard warrior hands. Desk is literally the reason I started a combo video channel and try so hard to be original and think outside the box, not to mention his music is fire. Exactly. I see so much visceral hate spewed in combo videos funny enough. It’s exactly for the reasons you said. They themselves aren’t good enough and most likely won’t ever be so they lash out at the creator for being better than them. I see comments calling it a TAS or “spamming”. The worst comments though are the ones saying the creator gets no girls because he’s good at combos 😂 like wtf
@@chiarosuburekeni9325 You summed it up nicely. I just never understand how trying to down someone else makes them feel good in some way. Most comments on my personal content is positive but I have had people call it trash, and I'm receptive enough to ask them what was wrong with what they saw in a constructive manner. They usually never respond and I realize that it's not that the content is trash, it's that they just wanted to be negative and try to gaslight me, and when I didn't lash out at them like they expected, they fade into the darkness. I've had the comment about not touching grass as well. I laugh because I think to myself the stuff I do usually doesn't take me long at all because I've played fighting games my entire life and they come fairly easy to me. My content is based around flash and lately I have people complaining about the combos not being optimal and I have to tell them that I can certainly do optional combos but flash is the focus of my channel, and maybe if they went and watched another video or two they would have realized that.

Fun fact about 5:10, this is now Vanessa's climax in XIV and XV since devs knew about the infinity punch, so they referenced it in

5:51 This works in Final Fight 2 as well. I can only verify with Maki though. Back in the day, I used an ASCII turbo controller to do it and didn't know what an "infinite combo" was at the time lol.

The kind of work you do with these videos is absolutely jaw dropping. From the music (Which is sometimes hand made or remixed by you and even timed WITH the video), to the editing to the combos themselves.
Maybe it's time for a "Best of DESK" where you make a compilation of your favorite moments or combos from videos you've made...
Or perhaps a fake "Best of Desk" where you either recreate your favorite moments on your stick, or try to one up yourself?
Regardless, with your content I'm never bored!
I've always been amazed at your videos. Was never sure how you did it, but never suspected any hacks or any cheating. Unless there is something I am unaware of, you're just unbelievably-skilled! 🤝

I think the KOF 2000 infinite actual made it back as a climax super in KOFXV/XIV
My man Desk really said "Oh, fr? BET." lmao I love it, keep it up brother!
Two other ones:
Fighter's Destiny (N64) - Leon
During juggles, he can combo his [B > B > forward B > Guard] string into itself by just walking a bit after the guard cancel, the timing isn't particularly tight either (i recommend increasing the stage size in the options menu to showcase this, cuz it's a game with ring outs).
Rival Schools (PS1) - Natsu
Light Punch > Heavy Kick > Down-Back Heavy Kick > QCF Light Punch
I think this works on every character if they're crouching, but it works perfectly on Roberto while he's standing for some reason, timing is braindead easy too.
I like learning about the combos this video format is cool

Someone told me my comment was in this video and I was a bit concerned by the title and thumbnail, because I certainly didn't mean anything negative, but after watching all I can say is thank you for catering to my suggestion, guilty gear 1 is delightfully broken

In case you ever do another video like this, here's a suggestion.
In vanilla Persona 4 Arena there's an oversight/glitch with the game's hitstun scaling system, where normally it's supposed to check to see if you've repeated an attack in your combo (SMP or Same Move Proration) and adds extra damage/hitstun scaling, but for whatever reason it stops checking for that if the first 8 or 9 attacks of your combo are all different from one another.
I know that at the very least Naoto gets a true infinite out of that, people called it the SMP Loop if anyone wants to check it out.

Yusuke's juggle combo reminds me of a Grant (Garou MOTW) juggle combo done with a very similar move, looking like an energy burst but without the energy.
Downforward + C. Think.you can do like 4 without a counter hit.

Wow, THIS is where you've been all this time!! Fan service on a whole other level, wow!!! Wish you'd keep us (and yourself) fed by posting filler content at least once a week, just advanced combos that are easy for you on various fighting games, the kind of content you could knock out in 1 day. But i totally get why this vid took so long, very special video.
The GOAT of combo videos at this point as far as im concerned.
Music choice is fine. This is your channel you should choose whatever you want to but they are right to say it is loud, it's very loud. I have a Maximilian Dood video open in another tab just as a reference for the loudness and this video's music is like twice as loud as his intro (that is supposed to be louder than the rest of the video).
There is a much more interesting (and hilarious) infinite in kof ‘95. If you are playing on the Fatal Fury team stage, characters will jump from a pier before the round starts. Chin falls so slowly that the round starts before he can touch the ground. Combine that with Iori, who falls fast and has an infinite that just so happens to specifically work against airborne opponents at round start range… and you have a free round win.
Also, I’m pretty sure the neutral stance glitch works with every character and not just Joe.

I've been watching your combos videos for, I wanna say, more than a decade (since before you renamed your channel). I know how legit your combos are. You used to have a sick oni and evil ryu combo video from Street Fighter 4 that I think you either took down or made privated that really enjoyed. I'm digressing, just wanna say this video is awesome and also a great response.

These combo videos always make me wanna play a fighting game even though I’m probably just gonna do an unsafe jump in when I get into a real match 😭.

If you're going to do another one of these you should include wobbling (and maybe some corner handoffs).
I used to perform the cinder combo back in the day when KI1 was in the arcades.
Whenever a new wave generation of fighting games comes out it always without fails brings a new generation of scrubs who think everyone who can do a shoryu motion is cheating.
I been on the receiving end of this Tekken combo in the arcade (Mary K's)

Fun/interesting videos. I will say I'm kinda surprised neither video has an Iori infinite, it feels like he probably has an infinite in more games than he doesn't, usually due to either his rekka or his sideswitch command grab (though I think he's probably had infinites that don't use either of those before)

Hi, Desk! Sorry to further nitpick, but I thought you and others might like to know that YuYu Hakusho Final (the SNES game) has air techs which are input with 64 (forward then back) during aerial hitstun, so most juggle combos in that game are fake! Loved the rest of the video btw ;)
Hey, Desk, if you're still taking suggestions from the peanut gallery, I'd like to see a couple of infinite combos from Jump! Ultimate Stars for the Nintendo DS. I don't remember the specifics, but Rukia can cancel the recovery from her dive kick I think? I think you have to fast fall and press down right as you land to do that. Ryotsu can also loop his tank if you return to neutral and take just the tiniest step forwards. Hiei has a super easy one: just hold forwards and alternate pressing b and y. Even I was able to do it lol.
The sako bb combo is absolutely insane, truly one of the greatest players ever.

The only infinite I've ever committed to was for Felicia in Vampire on PS1 with her Bouncing roll special attack where you mash the buttons. That game allowed you to re-stand opponents but I never understood how the juggle points worked nor could I consistently figure out how to get max hits from the attack upon mashing punches. If you could delve into that mystery and solve it, that would be very satisfying.
Now this is some dedication. The x-men mutant academy games have some fun combos, not necessarily infinites but you can definitely KO off one touch with some characters.
Nice to see YuYu Hakusho Final show up on here! Is there any infinites on that game that are not techable? Might be something to look at 😊😊
