I am so excited to see this video. I did not want to use my oven or buy a conv. Oven . I am thrilled. Thank you so very much, I will be doing this tomorrow for sure!!!
I have the same Heat Press but only used it to print out T shirts. I actually forgot I had the other attachment 🤦🏽♀️... Thank you and You have a new Subscriber🙏🏽
Beautiful job on the tumblers. I really appreciate your step by steps instructions. I want to venture off into sublimation but didn’t have the courage to do it but after your video I’m confident I can do it. Thanks so much.
New subscriber and I figured there is a way to sub a tumbler without a convection oven!! I am so excited and I thank you for sharing. Already ordered my tumblers to come. Your instructions are excellent. You are awesome. Will have to try.
Thanks I am really wonting to learn silhouette studio i have a cricuit explorer but you can only print a 6.75x9.25 and no tumbler i do is that size so thank you so much
You explanations on the computer were excellent and where I need assistance. You left out where you went to mirror before printing. I hope you continue with great videos like this. In one can you add how we get those free fonts I see out there but don’t know how to add them to my library? I have the business edition.
I get free fonts from Dafont.com. When you down load them they automatically go to Cricut design space in your fonts there. Or whatever software you have, look for them there.
Hi Renee, I think you did a good job considering you didn't have a oven. I was looking to do this cup without an oven and I came across your channel. I am going to try it and see how it comes out. Can you tell me where to find the cup? Thank you for sharing and stay safe.
Just got a cricut maker for Christmas and as I was looking at tutorial videos I came across your video and I love this!!!! Did you need a special printer and ink for this? Your pictures are so colorful. You are a great teacher!!! Thank you.
Yes, you would need a sublimation printer (like a Sawgrass) or a printer that can be converted to sublimation ( like Epson ET, I personally use a Epson Et 2720, it's fairly inexpensive I got mine for $200 at staples, but there are many other Epsons that can be converted). Also sublimation ink for your printer, and sublimation paper, oh and don't forget the heat tape 🙂 Hope this helped some ❤
I just found your channel, thank you Renee for your video and the instructions. I love how you take your time and give clear instructions(especially regarding making the halfway mark 😊. I noticed you used a blank sheet of paper after wrapping the tumbler. Does the blank sheet make a difference?
Awesome video! Thank you for taking the time to show design method. I'm a beginner and noticed the yellow triangle at the left corner in silhouette when I add my image. Was your resolution of the image affected?
That came out really nice! Did you need to adjust pressure for top and bottom section? My mug press has attachments for 11 and 15oz mugs so I am using the 11 ounce attachment but I noticed with the skinny Tumblr I needed to adjust the pressure towards the bottom and then at the top as well.
I didn’t show the print actually printing off from the printer but I showed the process in detail of how it should be done. And yes I did use sublimation paper to print out my design before I wrapped the Tumbler. I hope this answers your question. And thank you for watching.
what are your printer settings? My black never comes out vibrant! Is it because of too much heat? I do 390 for 50 seconds and usually go over the tumbler 2 times on each side. I do use a shrink wrap as well!
I give the settings in the video. The settings start at about 8 minutes and 30 seconds into the video. . I hope this helps you. Thank you for watching.
Hi!! How are you? I have a question. Can you tell me what to do to make my prints come out mirror.I have selected Object-flip horizontally. It still comes out not mirrored 🤦🏽♀️
I tried this and not sure what i did wrong the top and bottom of the tumbler came out prefect the center was still almost burnt looking. I was 400 degrees for 60 seconds did I burn it? I have the same type of press
my heat press did the same thing when I first used it. After that I did not have a problem. I suggest that you do some test on old cups first. This should work out the kinks. If that doesn't work, call the company where you bought your press.
@@reneejdesignstudio ugh I have the exact same press as you. My cup will not fit in there that tight, even if it's out at the max. Do you think adding a double paper around would help me?
@@CowgirlBlueEyes Yes you can try adding several sheets of paper to make it tighter fit. It doesn’t have to be super tight as long as when you pull on it it doesn’t come out of the heat press. Just bulk up the paper until it fits tighter.
@@reneejdesignstudio awesome!! Thank you so much, I'll give it a try today. I just don't want to mess up too many blanks lol Thanks for the video very much!
@@CowgirlBlueEyes You’re Welcome. If you have the same cup press that I have, I don’t know why it’s not tightening up. Try to tighten as much as you can without the screw coming out. I hope this works out for you.
You are awesome at explaining steps, some peoples just talk so fast, I need to rewind it 100 times. Thank you
You are so welcome. Thank you 😊
Thank you for making this video. I was wondering why people didn't use the cup press in their videos. Greatly appreciated!!
Thanks so much for sharing. I didn’t want to buy another attachment. I’m going to try this way with my mug press

I have the toaster oven and cup press. I’m going to try both... great video!
If you’re using an oven, it Has to be a CONVECTION oven, not a toaster oven. Just FYI. Thank you for your comment.
@@reneejdesignstudio ok thank you!
@@reneejdesignstudio can we use our convec oven for food after using it to sublimate? Or does it become a toxic issue?
@@Urmyseoulmate No, you cannot use your convection oven after you use it for sublimation. It is harmful to your food.

Yes, you should adjust the pressure as tight as it will go In order for it to fit. These tumblers are skinnier than the coffee cups.
Where can i find sublimation tumblers please help
❤❤❤❤
Also what kind of paper are you using as a protective wrap
Butcher paper
What paper do u print on?
Can you tell me the name of your heat press. I was looking for one I don’t have to remove everything to use Accessories
From Amazon, The name Of the company is,,SURPCOS. It is a 5 in 1 The size is 12” x 15”

A-sub sublimation paper that I got from Amazon

I bought it from Amazon. It’s 12” x 15” 5 in 1 heat press. Swing away. I paid $214 for it

New Subbie...Thanks for sharing.
❤️
Do you use sub paper or printer paper?
I used sub paper on these tumblers but I also use regular paper on some things
can you use any tumbler for sublimation or it has to be a specific one
You need to use a tumbler that is specifically made for sublimation. You can buy these online from Amazon or Etsy or any other place that sells them.
I love the tumbler...where did you get the women?
Mariart gifts on Etsy. Type in fashion girl clip art in the search bar.
Are you using a sub paper?
Yes
Now after this do you need to put anything in the skinny mug to protect the design?
No you don’t. Sublimation is permanent.
@@reneejdesignstudio oh wow that’s so cool!!
Are you using regular printer paper around the sub paper ?
Yes

Can you use any sublimation on a tumbler if it says shirts only through Etsy I'm getting a cricut but was not sure
You can use any design as long as it is in the correct format. Such as, SVG, PNG, JPG. And you also have to print it out to the size of your cup.

Do u have the measurements for the 20 oz Skinny tumblers
The length is 8 inches and the width is 9 1/4 inches around the cup. For my 20 ounce Tumbler
Thanks. So if I use that for the template it will fill the whole tumbler?

I wish it was the cup you were making, The design is different so not sure if it really works or not.

400 degrees
