I'm glad I found your video you have answered all my questions. I wanted a press but didn't want to spend money on it and not like it. So I'm going to get a inexpensive convection oven and try it. Great video thank you!
That tumbler is so beautiful! I can't wait to get my printer that is arriving this week. My granddaughter's will love them! Thanks for all your great videos!
Great job showing how to use a convection oven for this sublimination project. I am interested in the press to do the tumbler. I will watch for your introduction to that press. Thanks for all you do.
Great video!! I am very very new to sublimation. This video gave me the push to try It. Had to watch the video twice because the first time I only saw your beautiful organized room, lol
Love love loved this video and you truly inspired me! Can you use acrylic tumblers in the oven as well? And will the ink work on the acrylic matte looking tumblers? ( like the starbucks-like cups?
Thank you so much for this and all the links. This helps so much. I want to start making these. Just haven't found out how to find the designs to do so. Have you ever done a coffee cup in the oven? Thanks again
You can save a great deal of money by buying an Epson or HP tank versions but DO NOT load in the ink they give you. You need to buy sublimation ink to fill up your tanks in the printer. The printer she has listed is $550. The Epson 2700 or 2750 is about $280. The sublimation ink is about $60. So I just saved you about $220.
I see the mug press link listed is for shorter cups. Would you put a tall tumbler in and flip it once one end is done? I had wondered about that because I bought a cup press years ago but have never used it. Thanks for sharing.
will you be posting your new mug heat press when it arrives? I want to know what you will use for tumblers? love your videos, content and everything you make.
Great video, I'm new to this and also have a Sawgrass, may I ask what size is your image? I opened a blank 81/2x11 canvas in Creative Studio but unsure what size I should make my image any advice would be appreciated :)
As stated in the video My printer and all products used are linked in the video description. This is my printer heattransfer.ositracker.com/170194/11767/url_15609. I used the software that comes with my printer.
@Lorrie Nunemaker after putting on the first two pieces of tape couldn't you put on the shrink wrap which would not only hold the paper in place but also tight to the container as well as seal up both ends?
Can you tell me what design that was for the Ace? My grandson would love that. Thank you for sharing. I love sublimating tumblers. Still new at it and have made many mistakes but still love it.
How do u get a full sublimation measurement when cricut design space only allows a 6.75x9.25 measurement? Even if I turn design on the side 2get the length as the width...then I still don't get the proper width size. How do u get around cricut design spaces nonworkable measurements for a 20oz tumbler?
tried this today and i did not have a thermometer to see exact temp . apparently it was actually hotter than 400 because my shrink wrap melted and scorched and i could only leave it in for 2 .5 min or i was gonna burn the house down will try when my thermometer comes in from amazon .
Have you ever done a sublimation sippy cup with a design all the way down to the round area (bottom)? I don't know how to wrap bottom while keeping it straight and smooth
I sometimes create in photoshop and then print with the sawgrass print manager. However you can easily make this in the sawgrass software by starting with an 8.5x11 canvas and then simply add your image and use the sizing boxes to set your preferred image size.
@@LorrieNunemaker thx you so much. I just bought the sg500 and couldn’t figure out how to set my own measurements for a mug. Can you share how to set your own dimensions

I actually have two in order now because the first one keeps getting delayed as far as when it is supposed to ship. I just ordered this one heattransfer.ositracker.com/170194/11767/url_16443
if the texture of your Tumblr is changed, let it cool completely before removing the paper. if the papel is leaving Brown marks you have to lower your temperatura or reduce your time.
I am not familiar informed enough with epoxy to answer that question. I would think you could but I have no idea and have never tried it. I don’t know why you’d want to
Did you put a thermometer in the oven to covering the temperature? Did you use the print manager to print ? Was your image a good quality image to start with? Are you using a good quality blank ?
I was just about to order the mug press you have now when I saw this video. Will be interested to know which one you have ordered (it gives me the old 404 page doesn't exist). Is the mug press that you currently have good for the home user?

Wow, she got everything. & that expensive create room storage unit.. that's like almost 3k. Wow!! & i thought the oven was suppose to be used outside because of the fumes of the inks???
I’ve never seen anyone use the toaster oven outdoors. I don’t find there are any fumes. Do what works for you, of course. It’s no different than using a mug press which is also used indoors

Thanks for this. I just got the same oven so I’ll use your instructions as a guide when I start doing my own tumblers.
Are products dishwasher safe after they’ve been sublimated? I love how mush information you gave and seeing this done in an oven has inspired me.
Yes they are dishwasher safe and the image will not fade

Hi! I used these same shrink wraps and they melted off my cup part way thru “baking”. Did I do something wrong in application?
I bought the same wraps linked - I found out later it says not for sublimation :-(
Great tutorial...where did you get the paper trimmer? Did you use the bake setting or "convection"?

Can you use the same temp and time without using shrink wrap and just the masking tape method
Any advice on how to create a design for tumblers

Are you using regular sublimation paper?

so u dont have2flip it on the other side 2get the full tumbler?? if u use maskin/painters tape is is the same process??

what mug press did you purchase to be able to do the tall tumblers
What kind of paper? I have the same printer. And i want to make a cup like this im so confused about what paper to use.
I am having a horrible time with scorching
It’s messed up many tumblers
What can I do ?
where did you get the rack? where you have the oven and cricut? :)
Which oven are you using?
Does it have to be taken off while it’s hot or can you cool it first?

Help! I am having trouble with my print settings. I have a sawgrass500 as well. Which settings should I use?
I’m not sure what you mean. Are it using the sawgrass print manager? If so then choose metal and that’s it
on your sawgrass what do you set for tumblers...metal or polyester or what?
I use metal for tumblers
Do you need different ink
Do you have to have a special printer for sublimation?
Also, can you sublimate a stainless steal tumbler?
You have to use a sublimation blank that you can buy online. I've seen people purchase them on etsy.
And you can convert certain regular printers. You'll have to research which ones and then you buy a conversion kit for the brand you have
Did you use a regular tumbler or a sublimation tumbler. Thanks
Sublimation tumbler
Hi! Do you have a video how you set it up the oven?
I’m not sure what you mean. How to set up the oven? I just plugged it in and I reviewed the settings in the video
Awesome Sublimation! I absolutely love the stands that your printer and Cricut Cutters are on! Where did you get them from?
go.magik.ly/ml/y11s/
If I clean my oven out after use can I carry on using it for food?
I’m not qualified to answer that but in my opinion the answer is no.
What size is you tumbler
What are the measurements for the template you print for you cup?
I specifically cover that in the video ?
Great video.. what program do you use to size your image. Design space won’t let you print that size.
I use the sawgrass creative studio, Canva, photoshop or illustrator. This is not a Cricut project
Thanks.. also when I do the tumblers my paper is leaving marks on the mug and the paper sticks to the tumbler do you know how to prevent that?
